About this apartment rental
HighlightsThis luxury penthouse apartment is a rare treat in La Tzoumaz: 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, ski-in and ski-out access, and an easy walk to the town centre. The 220m2 Penthouse benefits from fantastic views across the valley and to the mountains up to 20km away. The large windows of the open living / dining area were specially designed to make the most of this ever-changing vista. There is a handy shuttle lift that takes you up to the piste so you don't have to climb the steep hill to reach it in your ski-boots. In summer this is an easy access point to reach the hiking and mountain-biking trails.
Bedrooms & BathroomsThe apartment comfortably sleeps 12 in five spacious bedrooms. On the main floor, which also comprises the open kitchen/living/dining room, there are two double bedrooms & two twin bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Three of the en-suite bathrooms have a sink, shower and WC. The other bathroom has a sink, bath with hand-shower and WC.
The fifth bedroom is up a flight of stairs and comes complete with four single beds, private bathroom, bean-bags, TV and games console. When used as a child’s dormitory, this room transforms into a magical play space in the rafters. As this room has limited head room in some parts and 76cm-wide beds it is ideally suited to children, but not exclusively so. The private bathroom has a sink, bath with hand-shower and WC.
The La Tzoumaz Penthouse is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.
EquipmentIn the granite-topped kitchen you will find all the equipment you may need for holiday catering: fridge, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, blender, electric filter coffee-machine and Nespresso coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. The wooden dining area has seating for 14 people. Hairdryers and an iron are available for you to use, and there is a shared (coin-operated) washing machine and dryer available in the building.
Down on the parking level there is a ski-storage locker with integral ski-boot dryers where you can change out of your shoes and into your ski-boots. From here a shuttle cabin on rails will take you up the 80m climb to the piste, from where you can ski 500m down to the ski-lift. At the end of the day, (or perhaps even at lunchtime!) you can take the shuttle cabin back down to the ski-storage locker and store your equipment until the next day.
RelaxingRelax into a Chesterfield sofa or a leather armchair in the large living / dining area after another day on the slopes, watch a Satellite TV programme or a DVD on the flat-screen television, listen to music, or simply sit on the balcony and admire the beautiful panoramic views that face the apartment. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond. A second table area in a charming bay window makes a great space for some quiet reading or a game of cards. There is a selection of games to keep the children entertained (and perhaps the adults...) although the children will probably spend much of their free time hiding upstairs in the children's room with its TV, games console and fun, shuttered windows which overlook the main living area! The apartment is ideally situated for a wander around the resort centre to discover its sprinkling of bars, restaurants and playground.
InternetThe Penthouse is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use.
PetsWe’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
ParkingTwo underground parking spaces are included. Car not necessary in winter due to proximity to ski-lifts, restaurants and supermarket. Contact us for airport or railway transfers. There is no possibility to charge electric vehicles in the underground parking, however there are two Tesla destination chargers 500m away in the main village centre car park (parking fees apply).
WinterThis penthouse apartment is ski-in and ski-out. During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabin down on the car park level and you are carried the 80m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski 300m down the main piste to arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don't forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 80m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin.
The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

Best location in La Tzoumaz
Large, spacious apartment with ski-in / ski-out and underground parking right beside the Main Street make this apartment the best positioned in all of La Tzoumaz! Amazing view!

Excellent flat and location
Perfect location, amazing flat very well equiped. Access to the slopes is optimal with the private outdoor lift - parking for 2 cars underground and straight to the elevator that gets directly into the flat. The kids bedroom is very convenient and all the bedrooms have ensuite which is very much enjoyable. The living space is well organised for two or three families - all in all a perfect flat with all you need to spend a great vacation!

Great location for skiing and amazing views
We had a great New Years break and the apartment is well kitted out for families.
Sofas are getting a bit old, doors to the balcony a bit rickety and the back bedroom has a bit of a smell. That is why 4 stars.
But you can’t beat the personal lift straight onto the slopes and such an easy return home after a day of skiing in Verbier.
Our check in was a bit muddled due to circumstances outside of the agencies control and I was not overwhelmed with the New Years decorations I had paid extra for and both these issues were resolved very quickly and to our satisfaction.
All in all a fabulous few days!

Magnifique penthouse

Location and accommodations were will described and nice. Location in La Touzmaz is ideal
Location is ideal within La Touzmaz, but takes 20 min up from highway and 15 min, which I'd not bad for the location. Near pool, supermarket, and gondola (an ultimate experience).
Downside was limited supplies, so bring soap, toilet paper, etc (should have been included for the price.).

Great place good service
Kids room was outstanding - best room in the house. Private lift directly into the apartment, shared funicular from the basement car park-skilocker on to the piste. All the facilities in the apartment that were needed, Great place to ski.

Super sunny fun packed busy summer days and relaxing penthouse
This is a beautiful large penthouse in chalet style. Very central to the village and then walking to everywhere we wanted to visit around location- village , mason de la foret etc. Plenty to entertain us on the mountain and a trip to he lakes to swim was glorious.

Ample room for a party of 11 (including 4 children)
Moving in and out was very straightforward. The apartment is very well equipped and everything functioning fine. Only “quibble” is that no password was available for the 5GHz band of the wireless LAN. This has to be the most convenient location in La Tzoumaz for ski slope access. We have rented here before and will do so again.

Good Holiday
The apartment is very well located just a 5 minute walk from the telecabine/village centre.
The funicular up to the piste was convenient, although only suitable for competent skiers. It wasn't working on two mornings of our stay.
The apartment overall was well appointed, good sized bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, a big hob and 2 ovens. The only poor thing about the apartment itself was the small size of the fridge which was suitable for a family of 4 not 12 people. Luckily in a ski resort it's usually possible to use the balcony as an extra fridge!!
The most frustrating thing was that only two proper keys were provided for 12 people (3 families). That is just not good enough and caused logistical issues that were a pain to resolve. We complained about this but were told it would take a couple of weeks to get the security keys cut. May I strongly suggest that is done after the season and that 4 keys are made available for future occupiers.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday.

Very pleasant stay
We had a very nice stay in The Penthouse Matins St Laurent.
Though a lot of things were broken / missing in the apartment, Patrick was quite reactive fixing them.

Elegant and beautiful apartment
We´re returning to La Tzoumaz year after year and for the first time rented an apartment instead of Chalet. Honestly, we were a bit worried about the living space a living comfort compared with chalets. But our worries were useless, enough space for a group of 11 people (3 of them teenagers). Each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet (some BR with shower, some with bath). What we value the most was elevator directly from our apartment to garage (2 parking places for us) and skiroom with cabin to the piste.
The reasons why I gave 4 stars is, that we´re used to have accomodation with at least sauna, which realy should have been in that type of building to rest after the whole day spent skiing. And the second thing is, that you get 2 keys for whole group and you need the keys everytime and for everything: main door, apartment door, garage, ski room, elevator, cabin to piste, ..., so you have to wait for each other.
Again, big thanks to Anna & Percy, who were always reachable and ready to help not only during the stay, but also before and after the whole reservation proces. Pick up and return of the keys was very guick, kind working stuff in the office.
We llok forward to come back to La Tzoumaz again.

Fantastic holiday and stay in The Penthouse Matins St Laurent!
A simply wonderful holiday in the prestigious La Tzoumaz/Verbier 4 Vallees. The Penthouse offers high quality accommodation with tasteful and beautiful décor that allows you to feel homely and relaxed during your stay. The mountainous views and surroundings that can be seen from all aspects of the Penthouse are both magical and spectacular. It boasts 5 spacious ensuite bedrooms that accommodated our family of 12 comfortably together with all the kitchen essentials to cater for our needs. The Penthouse has its own private elevator that takes you straight to the boot/ski locker room where you can access the fenicular lift directly onto the slopes and main gondola to Savoleyre. The skiing is first class on all sides of the vallees for beginners to experts and with cafes and bars for you to enjoy during the day. The close proximity of The Penthouse to the village is walking distance where there are excellent bars, restaurants and a sizeable supermarket. I would certainly say that this has been our most favourite skiing holidays and would recommend staying here to couples, families or large groups of friends. It has everything that you need. Thank you for everything and we look forward to booking The Penthouse again next year.

Superbe endroit

Excellent comfortable stay at the Penthouse
This apartment has an excellent lounge diner / kitchen area that includes a smaller round sitting area, with a balcony and fabulous views. Its exactly as nice as it looks. It is great to be able to go down in the lift that opens into the apartment , put on your skis and boots hop into the private ski lift and be on the piste without having to walk any where (my kids nicknamed it the James Bond apartment as its so cool). Every bedroom has its own en suite and the teenagers loved hanging out in the top bed room which has 4 beds and a TV. Anna and Percy went out of there way to make sure we had a great stay.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay
Absolutely fantastic place to stay with everything on your door step. A convenient private lift takes you straight from the boot room onto the slope, unlike anything you'll experience anywhere else!! Most definitely somewhere we will return

Dommage ! Excellentes vacances en famille.

We like it
2 choses nous ont dérangés

Fantastic apartment which offers the most luxurious accommodation with direct access to the slopes
Amazing apartment in a beautiful village which is incredibly close to Verbier. Direct access to the slopes via the apartments own ski lift makes getting onto the slopes effortless in the morning. Very well equipped apartment which meant we had everything we needed for a great holiday!

we had a lovely stay in the penthouse, it's a very nice location. It was clean and well-maintained.
The dishwasher was broke and they sended someone to fix it, and we've got a compensation for the period it was not functional.
There was a good acces to the ski pistes and also a central location in the village.
We're very certain that we would like to come back !
