This is an excellent property except: the second bedroom is only that as it has a bed (no drawers or
wardrobe). The bed is lumpy and springy and when we complained Secret Suffolk added a nylon cover that caused sweating (cheaper than cotton) so person in that bed never had a good night's sleep. or

It is a well-appointed flat, and it's decorated nicely, and soon feels like a home-away-from-home.
Flat 1 is in a building attached to Thorpeness Country Club, directly across from a fine shingle beach. You have good-quality cookware (some Le Creuset), and extras like crackers to open lobsters (can be bought cooked/chilled in nearby Orford). When you're doing the washing-up at the kitchen sink, you have a view of the boats passing by in the North Sea. The fridge/freezer is full-size. You will need your own Finish All-in-One tablets for the dishwasher. There wasn't any extra rinseaid/salt so sometimes dishes came out with limescale.
One odd omission in the kitchen -- no microwave oven!
Beds were comfortable, and there were convenient bedside tables, and plenty of electrical outlets for overnight phone-charging. It's a very quiet part of the village, and it's no problem sleeping with windows ajar and hearing the distant ocean surf from the double bedroom. The single-bedroom is at the back so it's quiet, although you wouldn't hear the surf so much.
The broadband router transmits WiFi at 2.4 and 5 MHz. The higher-frequency delivers a steady 37 Mbps -- plenty fast enough for streaming Netflix on the hardwired TV, and a football match on BT Sport on a laptop over WiFi at the same time without dropouts (assuming you have those accounts). Otherwise the TV offers Freeview and BBC iPlayer.
You enter your Flat #1 building from the rear, via a triangular-shaped garden shared with Flat #2, and which also has a footpath frequently traversed by members of the Thorpeness Country Club throughout the day. This is not a problem and people are friendly. If you go very early or late to the adjacent tennis courts (hard and grass surfaces) you can play a cheeky half-hour without anyone bothering you.
We had no problem parking our car in the Thorpeness Country Club spaces reserved for "members and their guests" during peak-times in August. Other renters in other flats did the same, and it was always fine.
The village of Thorpeness is completely walkable -- to the pub, shops and the mere, and to the Golf Club at the far end of the village where you can enjoy 9-holes of mini-golf, and have a drink at the bar. It's only 2-miles along the beach to the bigger village of Aldeburgh where you'll find many more shops and restaurants -- including a good butcher and a top chippy that is hugely popular with locals.
You'll enjoy your Suffolk holiday if you stay in Thorpeness.
