The apartment is located on the 1st floor of a building of two floors completely renovated within the "Kalsa" district in the noble heart of the city of Palermo, cultural and artistic center of the Mediterranean, a city with powerful contrasts between noble riches and markets colorful and multiethnic, in a quiet setting in front of the "Garden of the Righteous", historic site with ancient palms and fragrant orange trees, a stone's throw from the central station, bus and train hub and also near the most important monumental and characteristic places of the city as : the Abatellis museum, Piazza Marina, the Botanical Garden, the Foro Italico, the Teatro Massimo, the Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Normanni, the colorful markets of Ballarò, the Vucciria and the Capo, easily reachable on foot. There are also numerous restaurants, bars and pubs in the neighborhood, which in the evening are lively for the pleasure of diving in the nightlife.
The tastefully furnished apartment consists of a large fully equipped kitchenette, living room and sitting room with a double sofa bed, a bedroom with a double bed and a large wardrobe, a spacious bathroom with a shower, a balcony that Overlooking the garden below, where you can have breakfast in the morning or sip a glass of wine or a cocktail in the evening. I cannot begin to relay how pleased we were with our accommodations in Palermo. The location is perfect with manageable walks to all we wanted to see. A wonderful setting on a quiet street steps from all the action. The unit itself was excellent. Clean, spacious and easily accessible.

The apartment is close to most activities, 15 minutes walk to the train station, and no more then 15-20 minutes to any venue. The kitchen was well appointed as was the entire apartment. The bed is firm and the bath roomy. It met all of our requirements and was a very pleasant stay.

Everything about this property is so well thought out. It’s impeccable and the owner is wonderful. Many mishaps on our check-in day had us arrive later than expected. In spite of this she patiently awaited our arrival and greeted us as though nothing was a problem. She dropped our stress level immediately with her kindness.
The flat is well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We feel very fortunate to have found this accommodation.

From the moment we booked the apartment Brigitte provided us with all and any information that we needed on Palermo and on transportation in and around Palermo, In addition, when we had to leave early in the morning for the airport she provided us with a reliable driver. Brigitte was at the apartment upon our arrival to greet us. The apartment was in Kalsa in central historic Palermo, close to restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores. The apartment was immaculate, across from a park, and in a quiet residential neighbourhood. It was well equipped with lots of clean towels and a kitchen with every pot and utensil that one could need to cook with. And we can't praise Brigitte enough for her guidance and for her immeasurable assistance in retrieving and mailing our phone which had fallen out of a bag in the taxi, back to us. One could not ask for a nicer apartment and a kinder more informed host.

Brigette made our stay in Palermo very enjoyable.
She was always quick to communicate and helpful with questions and arranging a taxi. Her apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious. You will have everything you need for a wonderful stay. The balcony is a bonus! We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. We highly recommend this delightful apartment.

We stayed here at the end of a three week Sicilian vacation. It was the perfect respite. The apt. was immaculate and the owner was very responsive to our needs. The woman, Maria, who let us in and showed us around because the owner was out of town spoke only Italian, but it it wasn’t too difficult to figure it all out. Plus, there was a very complete binder of maps, rules, phone numbers, etc. All in all, a great location with a great restaurant 50’ away on the vicolo.

The apartment was wonderful and spacious. It had everything you needed. We did not use the kitchen but it appeared to be well equipped. The bathroom had so much room that both my husband and I could use it at the same time which is a plus when you are vacationing. The balcony overlooked an open air place where musicians would play in the evening. We had a glass of wine and enjoyed the evening entertainment. The location was fairly close to the Quarttro Canti and several restaurants and attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a way to end up three weeks in Italy! The residence was awesome and comfortable. Great interaction with the host; she always responded right away. She took us through the apartment and pointed everything out for us. The location was in walking distance of the center and the harbor. It couldn't have been better. Plenty of restaurants around as well as a bakery, small market and a large grocery store. We would highly rate this apartment!! Very clean and updated.

Palermo is a busy and not particularly peaceful vacation spot but Brigitte's apartment is quiet and comfortable with lovely garden views- a breath of fresh air after a day exploring interesting sights. It was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, well furnished in every regard and had the best restaurant in town right across the street. Brigitte was helpful to us in every way and communication was fast and responsive. We highly recommend this lovely apartment!

Zentral gelegen, stilvoll und cosy
Wir haben den Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte in der hübschen, zentral gelegenen Wohnung im In-Viertel La Kalsa sehr genossen. Palermos bekannteste Sehenswürdigkeiten (Quattro Canti, Kathedrale, La Martorana, Markt von Ballarò, Botanischer Garten) sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar, Bäcker und Lebensmittelladen sind um die Ecke, ein Supermarkt ist ebenfalls in der Nähe.
Brigitte Monika, unsere deutsche Gastgeberin, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und - u.a . mit einer umfangreichen Mappe - mit Tipps (Restaurants, Ausflüge, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel) für Palermo versorgt. Sie zeigte sich sehr flexibel, was unsere (späte) Anreise anging, und erklärte uns alles rund um die Wohnung genau.
Das Apartment ist sehr gemütlich und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet, das Bad ist groß, der Schrank im Schlafzimmer bietet jede Menge Platz. Vom kleinen Balkon, auf dem man frühstücken oder spätabends noch ein Glas Wein trinken kann, hat man Aussicht auf einen Mini-Park mit Palmen. Durch den Park ist das Haus auch lärmtechnisch gut abgeschirmt von dem Partytrubel, der freitag- und samstagabends herrscht.
Fazit: Eine gemütliche und stilvolle Ferienwohnung mit sympathischer Gastgeberin - rundum empfehlenswert. Wir hätten gerne noch mehr Zeit in La Kalsa verbracht, aber wir können ja wiederkommen! 😎

Better than appears, top rated
Clean, safe, quiet, affordable, convenient, comfortable bed, gracious hostess, beautifully decorated, modern conveniences, all major attractions between 5 and 20 minute walks, great restaurants right out front door and too many to chose from within easy walking distance. Pictures do not do it justice. Great find, highly recommended!!!

Hits all the right buttons
I have a couple criteria I look for in vacation rentals, and this one was excellent in all regards.
1. Location. Nearly perfect. Close to the water, close by restaurants and sights. You can walk to everything. You really do not need (or want) a car in Palermo. We literally wandered around all week without need of a car. The street directly in front of the home is pedestrian only, so there is very little traffic noise. The restaurant that you can see from the balcony was recommended in several guide books and was excellent
2. Size. This is a nice sized one bedroom one bath. Comfortable seating area where can kick of your shoes and relax. Kitchen was functional and well stocked. Small, but useable deck off the living area.
3. Host. Brigitte could not be more welcoming. We like a host to meet us at the apartment and explain the functions, etc. Brigitte met us even though we were running late and she stayed and explained everything to us. She checked on us through WhatsAp to make sure we had everything we needed. She had a complete book with ideas for meals, excursions etc.
We would absolutely stay in this property if we get back to Palermo.
One word of advice if you rent here and have a car. There is a park about three blocks away where you can park for free. Make sure you get directions to it before you make your way into the city. GPS will get you there with no problem, but it would be next to impossible to figure it out on your own. My recommendation, do not bring a car into Palermo. The train station is close. Taxi's are expensive, but cheaper than a ticket for driving on a traffic limited street.

Great base for visiting Palermo
Kalsa was perfect for our requirements on a short visit to Palermo. Everything was close at hand, so we could walk to shops, restaurants, bars, historic sites, etc. The apartment was exceptionally clean, had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. We must particularly thank Brigitte for excellent communications, for organising airport transfers, and for taking the time to provide lots of information when we arrived at the apartment.

Brigette was very attentive for our check in and she has a wonderful apartment.
Brigette communicated really well prior to our check in and helped organise a taxi for us to the airport in departure. Her apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed for our short stay. It would be a great apartment for a longer stay. The restaurant across the private garden is fantastic. We’d certainly recommend Centro Storico to other couples staying in Palermo.

Oasis in Palermo!
An absolutely perfect location to enjoy the city. A peaceful park setting right in the middle of the centro storico which is full of great cafes and restaurants. Two of the best in Palermo are right at your front door. Brigitte was the perfect host. The apartment is well equipped, and tastefully furnished. If we ever return to Palermo, we will look no further than this apartment for our stay.

Excellent location, home from home
Location is excellent, in the old town in walking distance to all the sights. Communication with the owner was swift and efficient. The apartment has everything you need to self cater and is a very comfortable home away from home. The rooms are large and well decorated. The apartment is on the 1st floor (no lift) overlooking a lovely garden, which is locked overnight. The balcony overlooks the garden, ideal for sipping wine al fresco! Thank you Brigitte, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend your lovely apartment!

A bright,airy,spacious apartment,nicely furnished and within easy walking distance to Stazione Centrale in the Old Town of Palermo....Well equiped for self catering and a cute little Balcony which we used everyday ....Also easy access to Restaurants,Bakery's,supermarket and the historical sights of Palermo .Brigitte was always very helpful both before our arrival and during our stay...Thank You for making our first visit to Palermo happy & very memorable.

Perfect Location Perfect Hstess
The apartment is just off a major narrow typical winding Old Town Street. It is also home to many small restaurants, craftsman businesses and pubs. Two jazz clubs are 5 to 10 minutes away and the Free Bus takes you everywhere else. I always felt safe wherever I went. Brigitte was instantly attentive to every need, There is so much to see and do in Sicily I will be back!

Lovely apartment, great location, would definitely recommend
We stayed in Brigitte's apartment for 3 nights. We had visited the area before so knew it was a good location to get around the city on foot. Lots of historic builds, bars, restaurants, etc near by. The apartment is bigger than expected! Really clean and we would have happily stayed there longer. Brigitte was a great host very friendly and welcoming and recommended a brilliant restaurant near by. We really enjoyed our stay!

Brigitte's apartment is exceptional in every way. It is brilliantly located overlooking an ancient square in the fascinating La Kalsa centro storico district of Palermo. Perfect apartment for two.
Brigitte's flat is modern, clean and very spacious. It's in the heart of Palermo's old town and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. It's a bustling and vibrant area during the day yet wonderfully quiet at night. Good restaurants abound. The only thing missing from our stay was good weather! Many thanks Brigitte for supplying a large umbrella - we made frequent use of this. And thank you too for your warm welcome despite our late arrival. Highly recommended all round.

Great Apartment, Great Location, Great Host!
From the very first contact with Brigitte, she has been very helpful and efficient, going way beyond any expectations. She was happy to answer all of our questions and made herself available, should we have needed her. The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated. We spent many hours on the charming balcony watching parakeets in the date palms and enjoying the relative tranquility afforded by it being set back from the street.
The apartment is located in a very convenient area, close to amenities and the free hop on/off bus service which takes you to all the tourist attractions.
I would not hesitate to return to this apartment, or recommend it to friends. It is, without doubt, the nicest holiday accommodation I have ever rented and cannot praise it highly enough!

Absolut EMPFEHLENSWERT
Die Wohnung liegt zentral und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gab ausreichend Handtücher , sogar für den Strandbesuch hat uns Brigitte Handtücher zur Verfügung gestellt.
Brigitte, vielen Dank, dass wir in Ihrer Wohnung Urlaub machen durften. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder.

Super apartment in great location.
We really enjoyed our visit to Palermo and our stay in this apartment.
The apartment is located 300m from Via Roma and only 10 minutes walk from Palermo Central Station.
This apartment is exceptional. It is very well equipped, the photos are true and accurate and we have no hesitation in recommending it.
The living area, bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and have lovely high ceilings.
The building has recently been restored and to a high standard.
There are a total of 4 apartments in the building and the area is quiet.
The owner, Brigette is really nice and was very helpful, providing us with information about the city and the local Kalsa area, restaurants, grocery shops, bakery, markets etc.
The kitchen area was well stocked with tea, coffee, condiments etc.
Brigitte provided a welcome gift for us of a selection of Sicilian pastries (which were delicious) along with water and orange juice.
The bathroom is well equipped, with a good shower and plenty of towels. Beach towels were also provided.
The bedroom was cool and airy, the mattress was of good quality and very comfortable.
We enjoyed this historic and somewhat unpolished locality of Palermo, it is very quiet and sleepy during the day but in the cool of the evening it comes alive for a few hours.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and we felt welcomed wherever we went.
We loved strolling up and down the cobbled side streets and piazzas in the evenings, where locals, young and old, families and friends meet up for maybe a meal, a drink or just a chat.
It was great, for a change, to be able to stay in an area which is not just catering to foreign tourists.
Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Brigitte ist eine sehr warmherzige und nette Person. Sie hat uns zur Begrüßung leckeres italienisches Gebäck und eine Flasche Rotwein geschenkt.
Die Ferienwohnung ist super!! Modern eingerichtet, komplett benutzbare Küche mit Gewürzen, Öl, Kaffee, Tee etc. ausgestattet. Handtücher sind mehr als genug vorhanden. Ein netter kleiner Balkon zum Sitzen gehört auch zur Wohnung. Die Lage ist ruhig, trotzdem sehr zentral, so dass wir wunderbar nachts schlafen konnten.
Ich würde jederzeit noch einmal diese Wohnung anmieten bzw. kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.
