A very nice stay in Lipari, with a helpful hotel and friendly staff. Apart of a providing a relaxing atmosphere and all necessary info, I appreciated that they have sent a minibus when we arrived with our ferry to the port and had continuous shuttle services to the center and port. Excellent breakfast and very clean rooms. A quiet place, far from the busy center, although close enough to main attractions. Highly recommended.
nothing....

very nice staff helpful and pleasant. nice spacious rooms with a little patio. clean and tidy. shuttles to the city and the port. we had a great stay.

Not resort style but overall was great ..wonderful stay and staff
Rooms need updating..overall loved it. Paula was wonderful as well as the reception and breakfast staff.

quiet, great staff, wonderful balcony with view
bed was uncomfortable

Service excellent: very welcoming and informative, took some trouble to book us a restaurant in different part of the island; delivered our bags to ferry terminal to coincide with our departure, saving us the bother of having to come back for them. Good continental breakfast. Large balcony with sea view
Limited shade in pool area, which is in a pleasant and very sunny spot. More and bigger parasols would solve this.
Walking down into centre only takes about 15 minutes, but coming back up on a hot day is uncomfortable. The free shuttle is infrequent after lunch and a taxi costs €15

Highly recommendable, very nice hotel and extremely friendly staff. A bit outside the touristic area which I appreciated a lot and still in walking distance (plus you have a shuttle service). Very good value for money!

We absolutely loved our stay! The rooms are very clean and spacious. We had a great room directly overlooking the pool and the hills behind it. The whole property is so nice, with plants everywhere, perfect to relax. The staff is amazing. As the hotel is situated a bit up the hill (5-10 minutes walk to the center) they offer a free shuttle service all day long until midnight, and they came to pick us up whenever we needed it, always with a smile. We really loved the whole team and will definitely come back!
This really is complaining on a very high level: The breakfast was good, but it would have been nice to have some more cut fresh fruit. When you wanted to eat breakfast at around 9.00/9.30 a lot of the stuff was already gone and wasn’t refilled. But again it’s a really minor detail. :)

the staff is so nice and will do anything for you

Very pleasant and helpful front-desk staff with advice on everything from the best viewpoints to bus timetables. My room was spacious and clean, and came at a very reasonable price. An excellent breakfast, too, including scrambled eggs and sausages, as well as scrumptious pastries.
Unfortunately, the gym was located close to my room so, during the day, the thud of weights and, on occasion, the beat of base-heavy music made for a less than relaxing experience.

Lovely pool.
Nice big room, with a good view of the mountains
Great and varied breakfast.
A regular shuttle is useful, but it's only a 15 minute walk to the centre of town anyway.
Staff were helpful with ideas of activities
Room was a little dark

Good pool and pool area and hotel well situated slightly up the hill. A bit of a walk to town but did not bother us. There is a regular shuttle bus available
Room was somewhat dated in decor and style, the breakfast could have been much better

It was a good stay in terms of structure, room size, and bathroom/shower, and the breakfast which was good, but not excellent, and it was served by the staff due to covid restrictions. Nevertheless, despite a few positive aspects, there were a lot of drawback. The breakfast was good, but not excellent, and it was served by the staff due to covid restrictions. The swimming pool is nice, although it is not big enough considering the clients of the hotel. There was a very useful service to go and come back from the hotel to the city centre, but it was only at certain times and you needed to book in advance.
It was not an ideal solution for my stay, considering the distance between the hotel from the event location, and the distance from the city centre. At the end of July in Lipari, with almost 40 degrees, it becomes very challenging walking for 20 minutes. I suggest this hotel for those travellers coming to Lipari to have only some rest not in the city centre and using the mini bus to move to the city centre in the evening for a dinner. The hotel is not value for money at all.

Very nice and clean place, polite staff that will arrange everything you need. A little far from the city center but they have a bus transfer

The pool, clean room, very beautiful place and setting, shuttles to the port and city centre. The staff very nice and eager to help, for us it was the most important thing since we had to deal with many problems with our lost luggages.
The mattress was very uncomfortable, you could feel the springs.

Breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very helpful. Shuttle service worked great.
4.5
Very friendly staff and an excellent selection at breakfast.
Lovely quiet location but still handy to the main town, especially Marina Corta.
The free hotel shuttle bus was an excellent way of getting to and from the main port, even though we only used it twice.
The kitchenette in the room was not functional and was not connected to the water supply. It took up a lot of space in the room for no reason.
A larger selection of bar snacks would be good as there is no restaurant on site.
A welcome pack of water in the fridge would have been nice.
Access to a laundry service or guest washing machine would be useful for those staying longer.
4.5
decent pool and breakfast
no water or tea/coffee in the room. no lunch or dinner options

The hotel is a little outside Lipari town but it's an easy walk and there is also the option of a regular free shuttle bus that you can sign up for, they also picked us up from the port. The rooms were spacious with good aircon and beds comfortable. The pool was fantastic and not too busy even in July. The staff at the desk and at breakfast were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. Totally recommended.
Nothing!

They offer shuttles and even if you have a ferry later on they can or
Let you stay and enjoy their swimming pool
Or carry you and/or your luggage (only) to the harbour by bus
.
Nice touch 👌
Nothing ! The people are lovely, smiling and helpful.

good location, very good pool

Everything was really ok, people, services, room, pool etc... The location is some 10 minutes walking from downtown which in the summer can be quite fatiguing, but the hotel offers a frequent shuttle that we could catch sometimes.
4.5
The staff was very accommodating . Especially Arturo, Erica, Onella and Antonio . Excellent staff and went above and beyond to make our stay great !!
The location is not walking distance from center and port .
Shuttle service should be better accessible…

The room was very large, clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The pool was lovely and the perfect temperature for swimming. Such a lovely retreat since it can get very hot in Lipari (even in June). We also appreciated that the hotel helped us book an excursion prior to arrival with very easy communication.
* Our main complaint was that it was very loud in our room each morning, since it was next to the breakfast room and it sounded like they were moving furniture around every day at 7am (breakfast began at 8 but they prepared in advance). There was no way to sleep in. Breakfast was average quality, and unfortunately you cannot serve yourself because of covid.
* Although there is a shuttle, it was too much of a hassle for us to use because it has a limited schedule and you must register in advance for a specific time. It's about a 20-minute walk to the ferry pier (uphill from the town to the hotel, or downhill from hotel to town). There are restaurants closer, maybe 10 minutes on foot.

Thank-God for Antonio is all I have to say about Borgo Eolie. If it weren't for him we probably would have changed hotels. They have a shuttle service from the port to the hotel which is great because it is too far to walk with luggage. Antonio drove us and he was very attentive and concerned about our comfort and our stay. He took our bags and made sure we were acquainted with all aspects of the hotel. He checked in with us at breakfast and had 'an eye' out for us the whole time. He deserves a raise whatever they pay him.
I didn't like that the hotel was large and sprawling with warrens of rooms everywhere. Also it is a 'Family friendly' hotel and there is certainly nothing wrong with that unless you want to sleep at night. During our time there families would come home at 1:00am, 2:00am in the morning with their children because they are on vacation and then they would use the bathrooms, slamming the doors which you could hear all throughout the hotel and then going in and out of the apartments slamming doors so that it was difficult to sleep. We could hear the toilets flushing and the water running and ear-plugs were not enough to deter the noise. It was terrible. Also we asked the girl at the front desk for beach suggestions and she said she had to check with a colleague because she 'didn't walk anywhere'. To say she was less than helpful is an understatement. One gets the feeling that the front desk staff is a bit of a crap shoot at this hotel depending on the times of day. The man on the night shift was helpful and great. The girl I just mentioned couldn't care less. Antonio was fantastic and honestly loves his job. Go if you have a family and children carousing all night doesn't bother you, skip it if you wish to sleep.

the Staff - could. it be more welcoming and willing to help. nothing was a problem and they were very friendly and shared tips about our stay.
I loved the hotel and although a short walk from the town there is a very comfortable and flexible shuttle run by the hotel.
a slight distance from the town (10 mins stroll) but the staff and facilities made up for making that extra effort to stay here
4.5
Lovely property, feels like a home a bit outside the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was easy to use and when we needed it, the reception staff helped us to arrange a taxi for an early ferry. It was great to rest at the pool in the afternoons. The room was spacious and had a nice balcony as well.
The wifi didn’t work for 1.5 day which was a bit inconvenient.

Great location,we love all about this place.
