Beautiful building and gardens, helpful staff that were able to store my bike for me. Great breakfast.
1.0
Teilweise charmante Ausstattung, z.B. sehr alte Holzschränke.

Tamara is an absolutely wonderful and gracious host. She was communicative via email in the weeks preceding our stay. She put me immediately at ease when we met. She is kind, engaging, and funny. She greeted us by name every morning and remembered what we liked to drink.
The room was great, decorated in a typical Tyrolean style, with incredibly comfy beds. Breakfast was nice too! There was a spacious garage to store our skis. The guesthouse was within a few hundred feet of one ski lift and a bus stop to the other ski areas.
The train was right outside the window, which could get loud, even with the provided ear plugs. The room might feel small for some people, especially a larger person.

For a traditional, authentic Tyrolean experience you will not beat Pension Rainhof. Our rooms were exactly what we were expecting - comfortable with all the necessary facilities. The good choice at Breakfast provided you with the 'fuel' required for walking in the mountains. Do not be put off with this beautiful Pension location close to the railway track as there was hardly any noise day time or especially night time.
Perhaps a small room or other facility for your walking boots/shoes when you return from a hike in the mountains. We always took ours off at the front door as we did not want to potentially dirty the carpets and floor upon going to our rooms.

Staff excellent, breakfast OK, room as such ok.
Noise outside (train) and inside (every sound from neighbouring rooms).

Tamara and Renata were both lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the Pension is a convenient walk to the centre of town.
The trains were loud. I had read this in previous reviews and thought it would be fine with the windows shut but they did wake me. I would stay again but would bring ear plugs!
It would also be helpful to have some shelves to unpack bags onto as the hangers were too big for my daughter's clothes.

Very nice room, comfortable and super clean. Very king and helpful staff always willing to assist us. Located in a very short walking distance [less than 5 min] from the center. The times we were leaving early for our activities they were gladly provided us early breakfast. Most important was the free parking in the area of the hotel. Thank you Tamara and we hope to see you next time.
Nothing to report. Just to mention that the hotel has no lift [which was not a problem at all] and it is close to the railway.

Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Breakfast is all right, but the room is very basic. Walk about 10 minutes to the town centre. Hotel is well decorated though it is old.
The curtain can't block out sunlight. As the hotel is located behind the train track and main road, it is quite noisy. The hotel provides ear plugs, and that is good.

The staff were so welcoming and nice! On the first day they showed us exactly where to go and provided us with maps and discounts for the ski/boot hire. They even went out of their way to pack us up a breakfast bag on the last day as we were leaving early which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and the location was close to the town and the ski lifts. No complaints, would definitely recommend!

Very friendly and helpful host and staff. Excellent location close to the town and to one of the ski lifts. Bus stop for other lifts only 3 minutes walk away. Very good breakfast. Exceptionally clean throughout.

I travelled with my 17 y/o son. We are both advancerd skiers (instructors). Breakfast at the Rainhof was buffet style but the team were very attentive if you wanted more ort anything not available at the time. Great breakfast. The Rainhof is 100m (downhill) of the Hornbahn cable car which is a great mountain to get warmed up on Day 1. Also when we were there (UK Feb half-term) it got the sun in the morning and so the slopes were better for novices, but by the end of the morning and easily by the end of day 2 you wanted to get with the Big Beast, and so you would just jump onto thte Ring Bus which is a <10 min free ride to the Hahnenkammbahn lift where the terrain is awesome. The bus is <1 min from the Rainhof. The room was fine - both my son and I had separate rooms. Cleaned every day. Proper power-shower! Nightlife was great (nothing more to say).. And also - Kitzbuhel is one of the top ski resorts in the ski world, but my son and I found it very in-expensive (I did not say cheap). We expected to pay a king's ransom for everything - food, beer and lessons - but did not. I live in West London and it was the same pricing (and cheaper for some stuff)! How's that! The Rainhof has it's own private parking (we hired a car in Munchen) and the ski room at the bottom has heated boot thingies (I didn't use them). A plus fort Kitz and a trule failure for the Brtits is that everyone speaks English.
Drfiving was 4+ hours from Munchen to the Rainhof - truly unfunny to spend that time covering 100 miles. And the SAME ON THE WAY BACK!!!!! Next time we wil get the train from Munchen to Kitzbuhel - it has TWO train stations!

Tamara and her staff were absolutely amazing! They were always friendly and available and happy to help with any questions, bookings etc.
Very accessible to the Hornbahn lift. (Just up the hill.) Boot room available for skis and boots.
Lovely breakfast each morning with the best Hot Chocolate on request and tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room during the day.

Very close to the railway station.
Literally on the railway line! There was one night when trains rumbled past at an unsociable hour!!

The host, a beautiful lady who was super nice and kind. The whole place is wonderful, from the garden until we were in our room. It was like stepping into a mini castle. I love the traditional decoration. The place was very clean. Our room is spacios for 3 people. It was well furnished with plenty of storge space. The mattress and pillow were comfortable. Breakfast was simple yet excellent. The breakfast area was spacious. The host will go the extra mile offerring delicious chocolate drink too ♡ Parking was also available on site. The hositality was impeccable. We love the place!!!
The setback was the loud sound of the passing trains and cars as the accommodation lies directly next to the train track. Get a good ear-plug for an uninterrupted night sleep 😉

At arrival there were signs posted all over the property about train noise / train construction, and they even provided ear plugs. While checking in for a 2 day stay I asked to cancel the 2nd day because of the noise, but she informed us she had a 7 day cancelation policy and would not cancel. She even said we should have known about the train noise / construction problem. The sound and vibration of the trains, during the night, was unbearable - we didn't sleep much. We checked out, about 9 am, after just the first night. When we booked, we specifically asked for a quiet room. She replied she could accommodate our request. At that time she should have said something - but she didn't! Nothing on the booking site mentions the problem - so beware!

Wonderful staff, good breakfast.
It is three meters to the train. There are trains every ten minutes at nighttime. It is very, very loud. It is completely impossible to sleep.

Conveniently located pension close to the centre of town. The hosts were absolutely charming, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good, a selection of meat, cheese, eggs, cereal, yogurt. This was only a one night stay, booked at very short notice but perfect for what I needed. I would definitely visit again.

Personally for my ski trip I wanted accommodation in the town and the Rainhof is in a very good location with access to all the lifts and centre of the town which was ideal for me
