Correct pour trois nuits

Le calme. La piscine même si mériterait plus d’entretien. Bon petit déjeuner.

Pas de restaurant sur place mais possibilité de dîner « rapide ». Literie peu confortable. Il nous a fallu réclamer pour avoir une chambre avec balcon, tel que réservé sur booking, nous avons été logés dans une chambre avec balcon mais donnant sur l’arrière du bâtiment…

Tudo para um bom descanso em São Vicente.

Pequeno almoço excelente e variado, com opções para vegans, quarto com otimas condições, ar condicionado, espaço de arrumação, minibar. Areas envolventes com atividades interessantes como mini golf, jogos, bar e piscina exterior. Amplos jardins, espaços de lazer no exterior.

Serviço no bar limitado, especialmente para snacks, piscina com poucas espreguiçadeiras e "reservadas" por turistas menos conscientes.

A pleasant stay

Apparently this has been a tourist destination for many years but the old building has been modernised inside. At least our room, the dining area and the reception area were modern. We didn't use the lift because stairs led directly to our room. The man in charge of the breakfast rates special mention. He was very helpful both at breakfast and helped find other staff when we were leaving. There was a gentle grey cat who supervised the car park. The accommodation was signposted from the town. You drive up into the hills then at the T-junction there was nothing so we asked at the cafe. You turn left at the junction and the right turn for the hotel is shown soon after.

The weather wasn't always kind and a large puddle formed in the car park although it soon disappeared. Parking space was a bit cramped. It didn't bother us but latecomers had to be creative. I guess parking wasn't a problem in historic times!

Older hotel, well maintained, but you can tell it needs a bit of renovation.

The location is amazing, the outdoors gardens are super pretty!

Excellent breakfast Good bar in the lounge area

Not enough car parking Doors to rooms are really a pain – the door lock beeps and you have to hammer on the door to get it to stop! It was a pity that the hotel restaurant was closed due to staff shortage. I picked this hotel because it had its own restaurant.

Nice location and the view from the hotel. The hotel is located in an excellent location as a starting point for traveling around the island by car.

Bathroom was extremly dark. I asked at the reception to change the lightbulb a few times, but there was no response.

Amazing views of mountains, vineyards and ocean with a very helpful staff

The staff was really nice and helpful. We even had a packed breakfast made for a day in which we were leaving very early in the morning for hiking to Pico Ruivo. The atmosphere was very relaxed and not only there is a swimmingpool, but also a ping pong table, mini golf and some garden tables and chairs where to sit to read and relax. Beautiful view from our balcony as well and not a single noise overnight, we slept very well there! Breakfast was varied and full of local cakes that I loved.

On the last couple of days we were there a very big group of tourists arrived and there was a very long queue to get coffee in the morning, as only one coffee machine is present.

Not the best value for money, with a few improvments could be a good stay.

Breakfast was pretty good, lot of options, fresh bread, and nicely cooked eggs. The view was incredible, the hotel is located on the hills just above Sao Vicente and overlooks the mountains and of course the shore line.

Ordered the room with a fridge and none was present in the room, had to wait for someone else to check out to have it installed later. The room card lock didn't work and also the phone didn`t work. The neighbors had also a problem with the card and heard beeping the whole day long for most of the stay. The staff was inexperienced and at times pretentious and snobby.

Liked the nice breakfast, and the relaxed atmosphere. Staff was always helpful, friendly and engaged.

Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed due to temporary personnel problems, but there is a good restaurant in walking distance, and more a short drive away, so this is not a big problem.

Very good

The hotel is in an amazing location and staff are all very nice and attentive and try to help with any requests or issues. The semi closed pool is great as you can have a swim even if fresh outside. Breakfast was nice with fresh fruits and enough options to have a good healthy start of the day.

The facilities are in need of maintenance, a bit more or a bit less, including the room. It feels like that that would help a lot to meet 4 star label. During our stay there was a smell out of sewage that was particularly strong in our room, which got worse over the day. The staff did try to help with this, with extra cleaning and air and toilet freshener, but it was still a bit unpleasant. Not sure if this can be solved by the hotel or if it is a more general problem of sewage in the area.
