Very friendlly staff and aperentlly quite famous local location for gatherings so a lot of interesting people around.
Its costa rica standards but you just have to get used to it. Also activitied such as surfing and so on are similarlly priced or even pricier than at the beach.

Calm, facilities at the property, swimming pool. Good value for money.

I loved the layout, the pool in front connected to the courtyard area with picnic tables and hammocks, and the open kitchen. The AC was powerful and kept the rooms cool as Tamarindo is quite hot and humid, the workers were incredibly kind and helpful.
I stayed in a room with 4 bunk beds (8 beds), plus an attached single room that housed 2 workers, so 10 people total sharing a room, which was fine, except at times bathroom availability was rough. The biggest negative for me was the price. I paid ~$37/night for a bunk bed in a room with nine others and heard that some people had paid as little as $20/night. I do not know how or why as they booked the day of or the day before and I had booked weeks in advance, and in comparison I had paid $35/night for a room with 3 others in Puerto Viejo.

The vibes and the staff were amazing. The furniture was pretty old but nevertheless it was really clean.
Also the Surf Teacher Kevin were amazing! I booked only one lesson and learned a lot!

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed at- clean, great location, and amazing staff. They had many activities available including an amazing surf lesson. AC worked great, pool was amazing, all around 11/10 stay.

All around a great hostel in regards of pricing and location (private room). Upon checkin the argentinian fella was very welcoming and helpful. Pura vida!
Unfortunately the logistical and administrative nightmare due to the receptionist obscured the positive. Got charged twice because she was certain that the first scan didnt go through for some reason? Nonetheless I extended my stay and withdrew money to simplify. First time for me but apparently one of the bills (newly withdrawn) had a small insignificant dent so I couldnt pay..
Lastly the hostel had extended my stay when there were no rooms available. Mistakes can happen. However being stranded without any type of service is not just irresponsible but also dangerous for travellers in a foreign country.

The location, not in the main streets so it's a bit quieter but still not far away! Free water and gym.
Nothing:)

The girl from reception and the guard was niice.
They gave us a room that we were very disappointed with, especially for what we paid. Were left with a question why would they give us that room since we pass by others and theirs look way better.. it looks worst than a bodega. We were tired from our whole trip in Guanacaste just to end up on this room, which we chose to stay outside than in the hostel. I've seen way better hostel tbh.

Nice open space common area with kitchen and seatings, swimming pool with shower, free drinking water, close to the downtown, paid with card at checkout
Sheets and towels looked very old and used a lot. Noisy, we could hear everybody outside our room talking

We stayed for nine days and surfed almost everyday. The best part of this place is the people. The staff was so nice and friendly. La Botella de Leche had a nice hostel vibe and we met a lot of fun people.

Great location and good personal

Very basic hostel, could do with a bit more cleaning touches and mattress were very flat and uncomfortable, prison style. Reception staff were great, the place has potential to be a good hostel but needs finessing.

Staff are helpful and friendly and spent some time giving us advice on where to eat.
Hostel is maybe bit low on the atmosphere. we stayed 24th of December and were hoping for my some celebrations, bbq or something like what neighbouring hostels had but just people on their phones and lights out about 12 but nice place to spend a night
