I had a chowder in the bar which was lovely.
I booked in for 2 nights, paid online, €140.00. Too expensive just for a bed. No breakfast included. Very steep and winding stairs up to my room. In the eves. Had to duck and dive to get around. Bathroom very nice and clean. Not even a glass to have a glass of water. No hairdryer to dry my hair after shower. Will not be going back. Will not recommend this to anyone.

I liked the kitchen area for guests to have breakfast
We know it is what it is but our bedroom was just on top of the stage where the musicians were playing
4.0
We had a large room, bathroom, comfortable bed, kitchen with washing machine and dryer.
Bonus was hearing the live music from the pub next door!
The oven did not work but the stove did however, there was only a single frying pan to cook with. We made it work and it was still fabulous to not have to eat out every day 😊

The bar was doing roaring trade doing food
The extractor fan for the kitchen was on all night very hard to sleep also music started at 10pm and and did not stop until 12.45 am very poor insulation between bar and bedrooms overall not a pleasant experience we will not be using this establishment again.

Friendly and informative staff, very easy check in. Nice touch with making breakfast facilities available.
The shower was too hot for me. Couldnt turn the heat back enough to be able to stand under it. Maybe I just couldnt use it properly.

Top location, great bar, friendly staff
The room was a little dated, could do with a new bed / mattress

Disappointing
Not sure how this B&B gets such high ratings. The room was spartan, small, in need of major upgrades, the bed was extremely uneven and sank in middle, shower had mold around outside base, need I go on?

Very little
The Noise was simply intolerable.....
The rooms are directly over the Bar (they might as well be in it), music goes on from about 9 till 1am and is exceptionally loud. There is zero insulation. The place is really only suitable for stag or partying groups. (Music is mentioned on the Web page, but certainly the noise level is not emphasised)
Breakfast was awful, thick sour milk in the fridge, only one rice crispy type cereal, no white sugar, no marmalade, rooted in the dishwasher for cutlery and delph, not enough white toast bread....any day at home is better.
Rooms are OK, but quite basic, eg no dressing table
Couldn't possibly recommend the premises to anybody.

We liked the relation price/quality since this was the cheapest hostel we found not too far away from Galway, Cliffs of Moher, etc.
The location is really central in Loughrea and on the side of the pub, where the check-in is. The staff is nice.
We got a really spacious and fresh room - they renew the space a few days before our arrival - with all the facilities you need for a perfect stay - comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom.
We stayed on a Saturday night and we were already expecting noise from the pub. It was ok because we also went there for a drink and it is indeed a nice place to go and have fun.
However, our room was on the ground floor and the ceiling looked old because from 2 am to 5 am we didn't sleep. Our neighbors arrived and were walking all around making noise. I know it's not the hostel's fault but we didn't like it and it doesn't allow us to rest properly.

Very reasonable, excellent restaurant
too hot at night, bar below was very loud

Very nice place to stay, in the center of a lovely town!
Romms are closed to the pub/restaurant where you can listen live music

Communication prior to arrival was great. Arrival was very welcoming. Great to see young staff really loving their jobs and very professionally done too....well done to all.

Staff are fantastic, super friendly and helpful. Guinness can't be beat!
No towels in the room.
No parking. Carpets, furniture are very worn, paint is peeling.
I feel that it should be a bit cheaper considering what you get.

The staff and the communal kitchen area was a pleasant surprise.
It was way too noisy and we had a funeral the following day so it was a disaster. I wouldnt stay here again. Even a heavy sleeper would struggle to sleep. Its for party people, not people going to funerals or people with children or babies or anything.

Very busy bar, but the staff were super helpful and friendly
a little noisy from the lively bar downstairs

Good location in centre of loughrea .was very convenient as we were attending a funeral very close to there.
The bathroom light wasn't working properly .flickered insanely when put on. The walls are literally paper thin and had to listen to the antics of other guests half the night .Did not have much sleep .

Excellent service all round-would recommend without hesitation

It was a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a great atmosphere in the pub. I heard the food is great there.
It was pretty clean but could smell a bit of smokeyness. The sound from the great party downstairs could be heard from the room but wasn't too bad. When we went to bed it wasn't hard to go to sleep.

I got a lovely welcome and was shown the room on arrival. As it is attached to a bar/restaurant I thought it would be noisy but it wasn't as the room were at the back. There was no problem when I was delayed checking out. The breakfast was continental but a lovely change and a good selection to chose from.
Only the distance from Cork!!

I don't remember what I was told about the breakfast but it was not a cooked one. But for a help yourself one, it was great. The staff was very friendly and I would recommend it. Thank you!
Not much.

The self serve breakfast is great with a nice sitting area. The rooms were spotless, there was some noise from the band in the bar but it stopped early enough.
