Beautiful grounds!
Price was significantly higher when I arrived than what Booking.com had said it would be. ~$20USD more expensive, and cash only.

Literally nothing.
If you like sleep, this is not the place for you. There was a bar outside our room that played loud music until 4am and there was no way to even close the window in our room (it was stuck open). This was a Sunday night so assume this is an every night thing and the hotel must know and doesn’t fix the windows or reduce the price of the room… The rooms were very bad and uncomfortable and the WiFi didn’t work in our room. It’s like they spent all their energy making the outside shared portions of the hotel look nice and once you get in the room it’s like your in a $3 a night hostel. Definitely not worth the money and our sleepless night.

The hotel was located near the center of the touristy part of town, which made if very convenient to explore the area. The room was very nice. It contained a large, comfortable bed. Also, I don't like to sit on the bed with my street clothes on, so I was very happy that the room had a small table and chairs that I could sit at. Our room was at the front of the hotel, so we had a balcony that overlooked the main street and waterfront. The waterfront view was very lovely, but there was a little bit of noise from the street. The bathroom was clean and almost as large as the room and had a separate tub and shower. The staff was super helpful. Some of them spoke English, which was very helpful. They sold a few toiletries and convenience items at the front desk. Because we arrived before the designated check-in time, the hotel stored our belongings until our room was ready for us. My wife really liked the breakfast that was served. The hotel had a pool and lounging area that you could relax at. I would definitely stay there again.
There were ants in our room. I got a can of bug spray from the front desk and killed them , but it still bothered me a little. I kept wondering if the ants were going to get in our luggage. Either there was no heater in the room or we couldn't find it, because the room got a little chilly at night. Fortunately, the bed had big, comfy blankets. Apparently, the lack of a heater in the rooms is common in Peruvian hotels. Because our room was at the front of the hotel, there was a little noise from the main street out front, but nothing that kept me from sleeping. I would definitely stay at the hotel again, but I might ask for a room in the center of the hotel that overlooked the pool. Despite the street noise, my wife thought the balcony and waterview was worth it.

The hotel lobby and room were really clean and tidy. My room had a large balcony, bed, and bathroom (complete with bath tub).
The balcony doors did not lock. My balcony was attached to the balconies of the neighboring two rooms, both of which had guests booked at the same time as me. I considered this to be a safety concern and alerted the front desk when I realized that I would not able to lock the balcony doors at night. The staff person simply replied that they had never had an incident at the hotel in the past. I had to push some furniture against the balcony doors to feel safe enough to sleep at night. Additionally, there was a window in the bathroom that overlooked the entire bathroom and the interior of the shower stall. I could see the rooftop of the building through the window and that someone had been on the rooftop recently. (Someone had hung up their underwear to dry on a clothes line and then had removed the underwear the following morning.) I felt that this was very invasive and tried to cover the window so that I would be able to use the bathroom with some privacy. My room also faced the main street, which was very loud at night. The noise from car alarms and people in the street disrupted my sleep (especially since the balcony doors did not close or lock completely). Overall, I don’t think this place was worth the $70 I had paid for one night.
