Bei denmPreis erwartet man was anderes.

Location was a little far being in the mountains, but I appreciated the solitude and birdsong at my villa.
The villa with the private pool was large and comfortable, and I enjoyed the choice of uphill walk or buggy to get to and fro.
The staff are really excellent in their service and warm, friendly and caring. They made us feel very welcome, gave us good ideas on activities, arranged transport, and were great with my teenagers. Meal services were good and the restaurant staff all friendly and efficient even with a full house. During the occasional heavy downpour we enjoyed chess and scrabble in the common room. I enjoyed the French and Mauritian cuisine at dinner and appreciated the vegetarian options. Special mentions go to Peggy and Julie, the lovely hosts who helped book our transport and accommodated our requests. I would return for another stay.
Things that can't be changed eg distance from the city, the mountain road, mosquitoes

My husband and I stayed at Lakaz for 6 nights during our honeymoon. We were upgraded for free to the Albizia room - complete with private pool and lots of outdoor space.
The weather was a little wet but we had an amazing time exploring the national parks and going for walks.
The hotel does really well to keep mosquitos away but definitely worth bringing repellent just incase.
The free yoga classes were amazing - we tried aerial yoga for the first time which was great!
The food was delicious and for our final night they made a special effort to decorate our table with flower petals which was lovely.
Staff there were always very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I recently had the most incredible stay at Lakaz Chamarel! From start to finish, the experience was simply exceptional. The service provided by the staff was beyond compare, and their genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly valued as guests.
The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and a refreshing drink. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Whether it was recommending local attractions or fulfilling any request, they were always there with a solution and a genuine desire to make our stay memorable.
The hotel itself was a true paradise. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, it offered a serene and tranquil environment that was perfect for relaxation. The attention to detail in the design and decor of the rooms and common areas was impeccable. Each room was beautifully appointed, providing a luxurious and comfortable sanctuary to unwind after a day of exploration.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional dining experience at Lakaz Chamarel. The culinary team showcased their talent and creativity through a diverse range of delectable dishes. From the breakfast spread to the exquisite dinner options, each meal was a delightful journey for the senses. The flavors, presentation, and attention to dietary preferences were all exemplary.
The hotel's commitment to sustainability and its integration with the surrounding nature was truly admirable. The eco-friendly initiatives in place, and the preservation of the local ecosystem, showcased a genuine dedication to the environment.
I wholeheartedly recommend Lakaz Chamarel to anyone seeking an unforgettable getaway. It's a place where luxury, tranquility, and impeccable service come together to create a truly magical experience. We can't wait to return and create more beautiful memories in this paradise.

What's not to love! Beautiful location, very kind staff, the food was great every evening and the views from the seaview room (which is more like a villa really) was amazing. Special thanks to the owner for his warm welcome and to Didier who took great care of us at every meal.
Honestly, nothing

Everything at Lakaz Chamarel was amazing! The staff were very friendly. The location is beautiful. We stayed at the Sea View Suite and had a breathtaking view and beautiful chalet. Absolutely recommend!

The place is amazing. Located in beautiful nature and easy to get around if you have a car.
Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food is also amazing! The board games in the lobby are also appreciated in case of heavy rain!
Not a big deal, but the staff at the reception could have been more helpful for giving suggestions for places to go or things to do around. Luckily, staff at the restaurant were very helpful.
4.7
the property was amazing! The rooms are in the middle of nature and the views are breathtaking
During dinner the waiters were used to bring the courses quite quick after each other. Which made our dinner pretty short

The view from the room.
We had to leave a day early due to an emergency. We asked for the taxi fare to the airport to waived as compensation but the hotel manager only allowed one drink at the bar instead. Staff communication is poor. Thr house-keeping is pathetic- did not clean the rooms properly; I had to tell them when there was a dead cockroach in the room that they hadn't cleared out. House-keeping left the key of the room after they finished so anyone could have come into our room when we weren't there. Food was more catered towards tourists rather than an authentic palate. We would not recommend this place. A little pretentious to be honest.

Sawamming pool and environment in restaurants
Alot of Misquotes and Geckos

Lovely Place, very unique in the middle of nature. Rooms are all very close to nature with outdoor bathrooms. We were there for our honeymoon, but they did not arrange anything special and we saw a couple of other tables at dinner that were decorated with flowers and candles, when I asked the staff they said it’s for special occasion and their last day, I told them it’s our honeymoon and also our last day they decorated our table as well.they also have Free bike hire and yoga sessions.
That they neglected that it’s our honeymoon and other guests received special treatment was a bit sad. Although the waiter tried to fix it. At the massage someone came in during our treatment and they had a short talk with them which I find unprofessional.
4.7
Everything was wonderful, the location, the views, the rooms but most of all the staff. The staff could not have done more to look after us - from adapting menus to suit dietary requirements and remembering small details, we cannot fault the experience. Everything about our stay was perfect.
4.7
Excellent location, beautiful nature around, amazing view on the sunset. Helpful and very friendly staff.
Breakfast and dinner were very delicious.
There was not much I did not like - price was too high and there was poor contact with the property via booking,

the food was not inclusive

The location is wonderful , you will try an amazing sunset experience.
the food is limited, and you have to pay for 2 mails and you have to pay again for the juice and water, the water is not free, There’s no Arabic shawer , it’s difficult for arab people to stay more than 2 nights,

the setting was beautiful and our room and the view was breathtaking. amazing food, the staff were fantastic- the perfect honeymoon stay.

Breakfast had everything...whether you wanted a light healthy or sumptuous breakfast.
4.7
The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, beautiful lodge.
The food could have been better. Breakfasts were average (at least for people used to a big English style breakfast buffet) and in general, although we had some good food, the good as a whole, was average - good.

The setting, and the ambience of the place made it one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Service was exceptional but always in a relaxed and friendly way. We cannot recommend it highly enough!! And the pianist was brilliant.
Nothing.
