Location- on the rice fields, with a beautiful view out of every window. It’s also on the rice fields walking path and a short and gentle walk into on the main town.
Staff- the host was very helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to give us tips for our time in Ubud and the rest of our time in Bali. The chefs and food in general are also really good.
Room- the room was even more beautiful and authentic than the pictures. There were 2 balconies and lots of places inside to read and relax.
The bath plug leaked a bit so it was a bit tricky to have a long bath. This sold be an easy thing for them to fix :)

Amazing experience! Beautiful setting away from the crazy roads!! Accommodation was exceptional and the staff are so friendly and generous. Sonu goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and organised transport and a tour with a brilliant driver/guide. A memorable stay. 10/10

No cars. 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Hidden in the rice fields was the funky and fun 'tree house'
I liked the natural noises of frogs, chickens and other birds. The kids didn't like it in the mornings.

The staff were so friendly. Lovely food. Great experience getting a scooter along the rice fields.

Located in beautiful and peaceful rice paddy environment. Villa's spacious and nicely decorated. Food look simple yet very delicious. Staffs ware very attentive and helpful especially Sonu.
Location's a bit away from main street which only accessible on foot or motorbike. It's a wonderful stroll through serene and lovely rice field full of birds though so it's a plus to me. You can also get the chance to see fireflies if you walk the trail at night.
Nothing.

The Rice Joglo is everything I hoped for, expected and more. I stayed 6 nights in the King suite with balcony ... a 2 level bungalow. The facilities were clean, comfortable, beautiful and safe. I felt it easy to let go and relax there. Located in the middle of rice fields and about a 20 minute walk along a narrow path to town, it provided a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The staff was courteous and responsive. Sonu, the manager, is a gem of a human being. He has a natural eye for beauty, design and a huge heart. He cares and it shows. The owner Kristine, who's located off site, is equally attentive, responsive and caring. They make a great team. I highly enjoyed breakfast each morning which included a fresh plate of beautifully presented cut fruit. I was a big fan of their "Mango Tango" yogurt smoothie ... it made a yummy light snack on a number of occasions. And I enjoyed the various dishes I tried off their lunch/dinner menu. I'm such a big fan of the Rice Joglo, I hope to return next Spring.
There's nothing negative I'd want to add to my review.

Loved the artistic touches, the gorgoeus garden, great food, wonderful chefs, beautiful swimming pool. We had a fantastic cooking class with Gede. All thr staff are wonderful. Our kids loved all the animals. Will definitely come again!

Quaint & authentic.
It is not clear in the listing that the location is inaccessible by taxi/car - you need to walk or take a scooter 1.5km.

The property is amazing, it looks like you are in a movie. it looks like a paradise. what I liked the most is the location, the room was espectacular, the breakfast amazing and the people. They are so kind and profesional. Thank you Sonu for this memorable experience.
Nothing. everything was perfect.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood in front of rice fields. Close to the center of Ubud, about a 15-minute walk along a beautiful path among tropical vegetation. Very helpful staff. I highly recommend. If you need peace and quiet it' a great place for you.
Everything was great.

Beautiful lodge in a nice and quiet area in Ubud. We loved the farm “vibe” and the room was designed so beautifully. Breakfast was lovely and so was the staff. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back.
Sleeping in such an old, historical building is definitely a wonderful experience but that also means you can hear your neighbors: on our second night the upstair neighbors were extremely noisy till 2AM and we were unable to get a good night sleep. Not the accommodations fault but nonetheless it was a bummer

LOVED the rice field location. The joglos were unique and carefully crafted. Relaxing atmosphere, genuine staff and tasty food. Special treatment from staff who were considerate and upgraded us kindly due to maintenance disturbances.
Perhaps a little far of a walk from ubud town. Only motorbike access. Otherwise nothing!

I am quite sure that if I would stay in property for 1 night or so, I would rate it higher. However, I stayed for more then a week and had lots of things which I did not like.
restaurant, manager, pool, animals and people who work there are very nice, I think this is the reason why property have such a high ratio. it’s also quite clean, except
miles away from Center, very hot to walk need scouter
many things are outdated and wait to be fixed
towels, sheets, linens have a smell, I thought this is the case in Bali, but it’s not. now I stay in hotel where everything is clean and smell fantastic.
All linens - sofa, nets, curtains all is dirty
no air con, and it’s a problem if you want to spend time in property during the day. it’s hot
active construction of new building - you can smell the colour when you swim and lots of people walking around in work closes.
our room had leak in the roof which was exactly above wardrobe. rain destroyed my handwritings and damaged my closes. I told management, they fixed the roof in a couple of days. however no one care that the fact that you have rainy shower when you pay about 150 eur per night is not ok))
and thing I hated the most - before our visit I asked owner of the place if it will be comfortable to stay for longer period with infant 1yo and grandma. And of course she said yes, wile in fact second bedroom was not a bedroom bet some dirty loft with small window and full of ants, it was located on 3rd!!! floor, where my mom had real trouble to step! moreover no one who will see the stairs in real life would say that it’s ok to stay with a baby and walk using such stairs.

- Very bad location as No cars can reach the property and guests have to use motorcycle or walk 1.5 km every time to go out of the property or back and the worries thing here is that it is not announced in their website or on booking
- No Aircondition’s at all
- Manager cheated us as he did not do refund for our second night according to booking.Com policy and we lost $325 as we left the property 1 hour after checking in when we understood that it will be very hard to live their without Aircondtion and more harder to walk 1.5 km every time we want go out the property
- No reception and No normal checking in procedures & documents as place has very simple workers and A manager who is not answering his phone and using only answer machine .
we don’t advice any one to try this property

lovely rooms, gorgeous views, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food - both breakfast and dinner were superb. The pink rooster wandering around added to the experience! the pool was fabulous to refresh in after a big day site seeing. Watching the sunrise from the enormous egg chair was a highlight.

Awesome location, beautiful decoration and furnishing, lovely garden with all the plants and animals. Very friendly and helpful staff, thanks a lot to Kade, Wayan, Sonu and the garden master (sry forgot the name) we had a wonderful time here!
Best Banana Pancake during our Bali trip :)

beautiful!
The people above us were loud when coming home at night and the nature of the building amplified it so it woke us up several times. (but honestly the place was so beautiful I would stay here again and just stay upstairs.)
4.5
The rice fields views in the area are amazing, you can disconnect from the Ubud Center. The hotel looks super pretty from the outside and you can see ducks, chickens, and other animals.
Bathroom, sheets, noise, services.
The view from the right side window and the back window is like old stuff, machinery from the hotel.
If someone is in the top room you can hear EVERYTHING (steps, conversations, cellphones, etc.), basically, you are sleeping together because it's an old house with only wood floors separating.

Wonderful food and service 🙏

The Rice Joglo is the cutest place I've ever stayed in. The room was so cool there is no need for air con. The animals and location make it my fave place to stay in Bali.

When we arrived I couldn't believe we found something so unique and special like this place. Everything was just perfect and there is so much love in every detail. The host and his staff are amazing, the breakfast is so fresh and veggies, fruits and eggs even out of the own garden. The location is so beautiful and peaceful in the middle of the rice fields but also so close to the center of Ubud. Also I loved how sustainable the concept of this place is, something you rarely find in Asia. Highly recommend this place to everyone who looks for a unique Ubud experience. Will definitely come back! Thanks for the great time!!!
