A cosy and well equipped cottage in a beautiful Suffolk village.
We stayed whilst our house was having some building works and it made the perfect “home away from home”. Any very minor issues (plumbing) sorted straight away by the very helpful property manager. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic stay in beautiful village cottage
From pre-booking to arrival the property manager was superb. Very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket on arrival was very thoughtful. Lovely little village. We stayed over the jubilee weekend and it had lots of celebrations and events going on. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
Cottage itself is superb. Has everything you need. Perfect for those with young children as there is a wonderful park just metres away. Nice local amenities such as fish shop, bakery, tea rooms and Co-op all within couple of minutes. Close to main route and plenty of great places to visit close by. We will 100% be returning and would highly recommend to everyone.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet little village
Even before arriving at the property, the property manager was in communication with us and made sure all of our needs were catered too. The property manager went above and beyond setting up a cot and baby gate for my daughter and evening leaving some toys and goodies. 10 out of 10!

Enjoyable week's stay
We stayed I Rose Cottage, Woolpit for a much needed break. The cottage was very well equipped and the location good for visiting places on our list - Sutton Hoo, Ely Cathedral, Aldeburgh and, of course, Bury St Edmunds. The villagers were friendly and helpful and we were made very welcome when we attended a concert in the church. All in all, a very enjoyable week.

Thank you to Celene for the very high standard of cleanliness and the welcome pack of groceries. We had an issue with a smoke alarm which was resolved very quickly. An excellent place to stay. Short break
Beautifully restored from what was a slum judging from the photographs of the renovation. Very well equipped lovely to have two bathrooms and a downstairs loo. Lots of crockery, glassware etc. Very well appointed. Enjoyed both the terrace outside on arrival still warm enough to have a glass or two outside then super to have the wood burning stove for Cody evenings playing board games. Super view of the church illuminated at night. Great to have shops in the village too.

Lovely villages and quiet country lanes
The property was an ideal size, with practical flooring, good kitchen that lead to a small rear courtyard, a real sun trap. The location was brilliant, convenient for local bakery, cafe, shop and pub. Fantastic cycle routes all around so spent plenty of time exploring local villages, towns and general history of the area. Bury St Edmunds well worth a visit.

Beautiful village and stunning view from the cottage
Rose cottage is very comfortable, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Fascinating walks every day exploring the local countryside along the networks of footpaths. We saw skylarks, hares, deer and buzzards. It was a joy. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Great location to visit East Anglia with a short drive to Bury St Edmunds!
Wonderful cottage for a five night stay with my daughter and two granddaughters. We walked to tea around the corner from the cottage. Although we didn’t call ahead to reserve for afternoon tea (recommended) we were graciously accommodated and thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches, scones and desserts. Each evening we made a fire in the fireplace (purchased wood at nearby Tesco in Bury St Edmunds). Cooked some meals in and enjoyed nearby restaurants. Unfortunately we could not get a reservation at The Swan Restaurant as the place was sold out to a private party the night we stopped by (obviously well liked by the locals). It was great having two and a half bathrooms with four women. The Rose Cottage is definitely a place we’d return to when we visit East Anglia again!

Lovely cottage, lovely village.
Well renovate Cottage, only criticism is that the smaller double bed had a broken slat and was very soft to sleep on and the pillows in the twin and small double were very thin so had to double up with the spare rooms pillows as there were only four of us staying, so was possible.

We had a wonderful Christmas at Rose Cottage thank you so much.
Rose Cottage is in a beautiful position just across the road from the Church.
Woolpit is a beautiful village and we had a great time visiting family. Michael and Liz have created a beautiful cottage and we will be staying here in the future.
The Christmas tree was a real treat.
Thanks

Way over expectation
The Rose Cottage is way more than we were expecting, fell in love when we walked in the door. Vey lovely, peaceful, relaxing cottage. Very nice patio, back yard, garden. ( In the U.S.. we would call it a patio/backyard, I believe in the UK it would be referred to as a garden) Everything we needed was there. Very clean. We did have some issues finding it to start with, but there was 2 gentlemen that came to our rescue and helped us out with no hesitation. They were so kind. Woolpit is very nice and safe feeling. Sure hope I get a chance to come back.

Peaceful relaxing stay with sightseeing and family time
Well appointed, clean and tidy property with attentive owner situated in small village. Good local Co-op useful for essentials, bakery, 2 pubs, fish and chip shop, and visiting pizza making van on a Monday! Interesting church opposite. We were very happy with our stay. Close to A14 which allowed fairly quick travelling inland and also to coast. Plenty to see in Suffolk. National Trust houses and estates, coastline, interesting buildings, castles and windpumps and many walks (all very flat! ).

A lovely cottage in a fabulous location!
The photos of this cottage don't do it full justice. It's really pretty and cosy with fabulous views of the church. A stone's throw from all the village amenities (including 2 great pubs!). Great location for visiting the area.

Cosy cottage with modern amenities
Lovely cottage, tastefully restored in a lovely village setting.
Close to pubs with food, take away, tea rooms, a well stocked little Co-op and a bakery, all within very easy reach.
We enjoyed a day in Aldeburgh and a day in Bury St Edmunds.
The weather was glorious and the back garden is a real sun trap so it was great to sit on the small patio and recover from our excursions.

Beautifully renovated cottage opposite the elegant church in Woolpit
Comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owner called to make sure everything was alright. Village attractive, small supermarket, bakers, fish and chips, excellent restaraunt and pub. Well situated for exploring Suffolk.

Lovely property in a beautiful little village.
We have had a lovey week at Rose Cottage. The property is well laid out and looked after. It overlooks a beautiful church one way and some gorgeous old properties the other.
Woolpit is such a sweet little village. There is a cute gift shop just across the street and a fish and chip shop round the corner.
The owners are most helpful and pleasant to deal with.
We had some great days out from visiting Bury St. Edmunds only down the road to Horsey Beach (where we saw so many seals close up) and Southwold further away.
We highly recommend this property.

Comfortable cottage in a great location.
The property is very comfortable, well-maintained and in a beautiful location. It's clear that Mick cares that his guests have an enjoyable stay: when we experienced a problem with the central heating, Mick responded promptly to our call, brought fuel for the log burner to ensure that we would be warm, and arranged for a heating engineer to sort out the problem, which was done within the hour. My wife and I agree that this is the best holiday cottage we have ever rented.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful place.
Myself, husband, our friend and our son stayed at Rose Cottage for 10 nights. We had the most wonderful and enjoyable time here. Everything we needed was supplied in the property and Woolpit was a lovely peaceful place. Overall, we couldn't have asked for better. The booking process was made so easy for us and Mick was more than accommodating with helping us out with any requests we had. He was always extremely prompt to reply to us. We will certainly return to Rose Cottage again if we are visiting the area in the future.
