Welcome to this perfect “home away from home” duplex located one block from the bay on 18th street in the heart of Surf City, and only 2 blocks from the beautiful bay beach (great for young children and beautiful afternoon sunsets!) and walking distance to the Ocean – easy walk home for lunch!
This duplex offers a great deck with outdoor furniture - a great place for drinks after a beautiful beach day. The unit is identical to the first floor with 3 bedrooms (1 queen bed in one room, 2 twin beds in the other two rooms), and one full bath,. The unit offers its own gas grill, washer & dryer, fully-equipped kitchen (including a Keurig machine), window air conditioning units, iron and ironing board, blow dryer, wireless Internet, flat screen cable HDTV with a variety of channels (including on demand music and HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz channels). As a precaution measure, we kindly ask our guests to bring their own comforters/blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, and beach chairs, we will include boogie boards, and beach badges.
In addition to the items listed above, this fully equipped kitchen includes new flatware, silverware, glassware, microwave, toaster oven, blender, mixer, regular coffee machine, lobster pot, and cooking ware.
Surf City is a great beach community where one can walk comfortably to several gourmet delis, cheese and specialty stores, variety of restaurants, butcher shop, art galleries, gift shops, church, ice cream parlors, barber shop, bike rentals, hair and nail salons.
Please note that 4 beach badges (valued at $40 each) are included with each unit; however, tenant is responsible for lost badges. Also, no smoking or pets allowed, We welcome families, no groups please. Thank you!

Cute but dated. We visit LBI almost every year since 2005 and while this home was sufficient we all felt we had stayed at more comfortable homes over the years. The beds were uncomfortable and the electric surges every time the a/c units cycled on. I could name quite a few smaller inexpensive updates that would have made it more guest friendly. However our family had a great time all week and the weather was fantastic!

Can’t get much better than the simple walk to the beach and few places in town to grab a bite etc. Love surf city. House was a bit out of date. It was clean, and functional. Rug needs changed out or removed. The entire side of it is rolled up and warped and is a trip hazard which is not good for toddlers or especially elders. Mattresses were not comfortable. Sunken in or rock solid. My biggest thing was the rusty balcony furniture that was spray painted to try and cover it up but it’s chipping everywhere. Bring your own linens and paper products. Host was super nice and responsive, and it was a good spot for the few days we were there!

A great place to stay. Very roomy for the 3 of us. Loved the cover porch to eat or just relax on. You can also see the bay from the porch and catch a glimpse of the beautiful sunsets.

Vrbo mistakenly had this listed as a 2 bath place, when it was actually one bath. It’s a typical beach rental, nothing fancy, bring your own towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. Queen Bed was comfortable (though squeaky). Just Two blocks to the bay with beautiful sunsets, several blocks to the ocean. Convenient to Mario’s around the corner which had excellent Italian to-go food and baked goods. We didn’t have to use the window air conditioners or the heat. Stayed here during a tropical storm which was fun!

We had a OK experience at this property. Location of the house is fantastic. We had an issue with the cleanliness of the house. On day 1 we had issues with bugs to a point that my kids wanted to leave. We did let the property manager know who was very kind and approachable. We had to spray the house from inside with bug spray. Overall the house had an old inside decor and felt musty.

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The owners were staying on the first floor and were very friendly and accommodating. You could smell the cleaning products which was comforting considering we were in the beginning phases of reopening after COViD-19. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The kitchen utensils were very helpful and the grill worked great. The layout made for more room than most other duplexes. We enjoyed our time there very much and each spent time working from “home” and the WiFi more than kept up with all of our zoom calls.

The location is ideal, near many restaurants, 17th St Bay beach, ocean and stores! The owners, Rosie and Evan Medway are very pleasant and friendly whenever I called or had a question. The apartment is neat and has many amenities, washer, dryer, blow dryer, toaster, blender, etc. We rented the 2nd floor and had a beautiful view of the bay. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood with short walk to shops and beach. Key lock box was a little tricky. Very hot and musty when we arrived and window air conditioners took a while to cool. Bed sheets not provided. Mattresses not great. No toilette paper. Sparking from electrical outlets in kitchen and bathroom.

The house is a little older but great location! The view of the bay is breathtaking and the ocean is only 2 blocks away. Many local restaurants and shops in walking distance. Rides and lighthouse just 10-15 min drive away. Lots to do but still a very peaceful and quiet area. We loved our stay and will definitely go again!

This property is in a great location. We love staying on the bay side, less traffic and quieter than the beach side, still only 3 blocks walk to the beach though! Surf City is the best! Restaurants, ice cream, bike rentals, and grocery all within walking distance to the house. Rosie & Evan Medway are very attentive and kind. Absolutely recommend staying here!

Great place for a family vacation on LBI!

As a family we have vacationed in Surf City for a very long time. You could say my children grew up on the island. I have been enjoying it since I was 12 years old and I'm 63 now. My wife and I were blessed to have our son and daughter with us and their spouses and our first granddaughter down. What a treat it was to see her dip her toes in the ocean for the very first time. Weather was great, water was warm and we had a fantastic week. Everything we needed was in place and it was neat and clean. Perfect place for a family vacation! Thanks
