Spacious home with a gorgeous view of the lake. Spent most of my time at the huge dining room table with that view while the rest of the fam went skiing. Gorgeous stone fireplace and so much entertainment: board games, ping pong table and WiFi. Perfect location to get to Killington and Okemo. The road to get to the house is definitely tricky…lots of potholes and deep mud ruts. AWD/4WD is a MUST.

With 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 2 1/2 baths, our party of 7 adults a toddler and an infant had plenty of room.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment, spices, oil, coffee filters and more! The table was huge!

Great location, close to Okemo and downtown Ludlow. House was perfect for our group of friends…large dining table, downstairs was plenty of space for card games and ping pong, and bedrooms were comfortable. Only downside to our stay was that it was difficult to get in touch with someone prior to our arrival since the property is managed by Vacasa…required a few phone calls to put in an early check in request.

We had an amazing time staying at Lakeside Elegance. Waking up to beautiful Lake Rescue all week was a great start to every day. My family enjoyed the ping pong table and the on-site kayaks. This home had everything we needed for the week (I actually way overpacked!). Great hikes just a short car ride away, great small farmers market in Ludlow on Friday evenings (make sure to try the Apple honey pizza!), and don’t forget to try the local maple creamees; a traditional Vermont treat!! I would highly recommend this home and stay there again!

Outstanding spring fishing trip
Could not have asked for more from this lake front rental. Coffee on the dock, kayaking at sunset, and ping pong tournaments in the evening. A perfect weekend.

Communication issues
It may be an issue with Vacasa App, but communication was an issue. We tried to email about what to do to prep for (nor’easter) and never received response. We were unsure of where to park in case plow showed up.
Property itself was great! Convenient to skiing and heated floors in basement were wonderful!

Quiet, gem of a rental
We did absolutely nothing. And this rental offered beautiful views and features that made it perfect for our stay. Would rent here again for sure.

Great house. Superb location
Great Lake house smack on the water. Basement was a bonus with pool table and ping pong table—both a huge hit with kids. Plenty of room. There’s no air conditioning but there were lots of fans and basement made it bearable. We happened to hit Ludlow during bizarre heat wave. Fire pit as well. Overall a great stay.

Great house...dirty showers
The house was large and comfortable with a gorgeous view. It is truly an amazing location. Overall, the house was clean except the showers in both full bathrooms were really dirty. It would be so easy to clean these and make the house a better experience. Overall, I would recommend this house...just ask them to scrub the showers before you arrive.

Could be a gem but has significant safety & maintenance issues
Our vacation was interrupted by dealing with safety issues with the property management company. Exposed wires, broken screens, 2 inch gaps in floor along side bed, significant tripping hazards due to extremely high thresholds. Couldn't open the windows because of missing or damaged screens and temperature reached 90 degrees. Bathroom faucet was not attached. Ants in kitchen. Grass was knee high and was not cut until halfway through the week. Dock had loose and warped boards. Construction debris on south side of house. Closets were packed full of personal items - no rods; no hangers. Contacted property management group several times and provided photos. The only resolution solved was getting the grass cut. I would not recommend renting through Vacasa or this specific property unless you want to be disappointed.

It was okay.
The lake was great. House was lacking cleaniness. Downstairs bathroom needed the sink faucets replaced. Should of been done before renting. No place to put over flow garbage without animals getting into it. Had to leave in house which wasn't ideal. We cooked all our own meals and we're lacking in cook wear. Overall we made the best of it.

Beautiful and comfortable
This home had so much of what we were looking for. The lake was clean, clear and had lots of fish! The kayaks and maui mat made the trip active and fun for the entire family. The views of the lake were great from inside the home. The house had comfortable beds, a beautiful kitchen, and it was well cleaned upon our arrival.

Charming, spacious cottage with drop dead foliage and lake views.
We are 6 bicycling Boomers (from WA State) who have stayed in several Vermont Inns and Airbnb’s over the past 10 years and this sparkling clean cottage was by far our favorite! The photos are accurate. The fireplace gorgeous. Lots of comfortable seating and areas to spread out. It is on a very private lot that was easy for us to find. The kitchen was so well stocked we were able to prepare our own Vermont locally sourced feasts. Don’t miss the Vermont Butcher Shop in Londonderry. For restaurants... get a reservation at “Downtown Grocery.” Yes, there are a few updates on the cottage in progress, but nothing at all in our way. HIGHLY recommended spacious Vermont cottage.

Fun September Getaway
This home was the last house nestled in the woods down a dirt drive just off route 100. Drove a BMW sedan during dry fall weather and it was fine on the dirt drive. Snowy, icy weather would have definitely required 4wd. We rented this particular house because of its location on the lake and the fact that the owner provided a canoe and kayaks (which we used everyday.) The kitchen and living areas with the stone fireplace (plenty of wood provided) were great. We had a great 3 days here. If you need provisions, we'd suggest driving into Woodstock. Nice cafe for lunch (Cafe Vert) and the Woodstock Farmer's Market is a must.
To be honest, we had a few surprises. The house seems to be in the process of renovation so there were areas that needed to be completed. Some bare wires, some unpainted surfaces, and nonexistent smoke alarms or fire extinguisher in the kitchen/fireplace area seem to us a problem for a rental. There was no renter's "book" to refer to as we've had in some other rental homes, but it wasn't really a problem because Vacasa provided all the info about the rental online or through the App. The frying pans were "very used" and we would have liked some dish towels in the kitchen but maybe that's nitpicking! The water has a strong taste and smell so we'd suggest bringing bottled water to drink. Maybe the owner would consider a filter of some sort.
Family photos around the home show a great family (looks like 4 boys? - same as my husband's family.) All told, we have good memories of Vermont and our stay.

Wonderful Getaway!
We loved our stay at this lake house. The location is perfect, the house is beautiful and there is plenty of room to spread out. I especially like that the whole bottom floor can easily be a kid zone with the pool table, ping pong, and video games. We hope to stay at this house again.

Fall vacation
House is well equipped for a large family gathering. Quiet and peaceful lake. Listened to the loons in early morning while having coffee. Grandkids (ages 4 and 3) enjoyed fishing from the dock and roasting marsh mellows in the out door fire pit. Ventured out everyday to see all parts of Vermont and even New Hampshire. Would love to come back in summer to make more use of the lake.
