We had a lovely time in this wonderful home. The rooms were large and spacious. Lots of room to spread out and socialize. The outdoor decks were large with plenty of seating. The views magnificent. Large family group and the home was perfect for our group of 20. 7 bedrooms was perfect and each family had their own bedroom. Large kitchen with a large table that seated us comfortably. Large family room with fireplace which we greatly enjoyed having a fire each evening. We look forward to coming back.

We enjoyed an extended family Christmas vacation at Summit Ridge. The view was spectacular and the home is spacious, lots of room for togetherness but also places to retreat for quiet if desired. The host was very responsive to the few things we needed. There are many things to do at the nearby resorts and lots of opportunities to explore nature. We hope to return soon!

We went with four families and really enjoyed our stay! Amazing views and we loved the fire pit and hot tub. Lots of bedrooms and space for people to sleep and kids to play. Close to nice hikes too!

The location of the property was wonderful, however, upon check-in, we discovered that the upstairs air conditioning was not working. The management company had placed portable units in a couple of the small bedrooms, but had no solution for the upstairs master, which we had planned on using. Upon multiple discussions with the management company, they offered no discount and told us to open the windows, which was ridiculous, because they have no screens and there’s lots of bugs this time of year. In our opinion, not being able to use the upper master took away one of the most Important aspects of the home that we had counted on and paid for. The upper master has the most spectacular view. There was a few days that it rained that the bedroom was bearable, but most of the time the temperature was well above 80° and unable to use at all. The other huge disappointment was the rugs, the rugs in all of the bathrooms were super old and filthy. They were stuck to the floor! We had to remove them they were so dirty and unsanitary, we didn’t want step on them. The rugs in the main areas the house were super old & dusty as well. The house has beautiful wooden floors, but covered in nasty rugs. In our many years on this application, we’ve never had to leave a negative review, however, we felt our duty to the next family to be aware that this house is full of dirty, dusty rugs that could be easily rectified, but they ignored.

My family and I had an amazing time on our little mountain getaway! The accomodations were as advertised and fit our large family well! There was plenty of space to gather together or separate to our own spaces when needed. The location is great! Very close to Sugar Mountain and other fun things to do! We had hoped to snow tube, but the weather had other plans. Instead we went gem mining and went on the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (definitely recommend). The driveway was a bit steep and scary for those not accustomed to the mountain roads, but it certainly would not keep us from going back! It was a fantastic place to stay!

House was plenty big for 6 families with 18 people total with ages from 7 to 81. We were able to enjoy family style meals, play games and enjoy the fantastic view from the porch including Grandfather Mountain. Several good restaurants for breakfast on Beech Mountain and in Banner Elk within 15 minutes.

Perfect home for large groups.
This vacation was a terrific experience from start to finish! A very smooth rental process and check-in. The home is wonderful, with terrific views from nearly every window. The spacious living room, very large dining table, and TWO spacious decks allowed our large group to spread out, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. The kids in our group were 12, 7, 4, 2, and 10 months and the house provided plenty of room for them to play. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious. The location is very convenient to tons of area attractions as well as hiking, white water rafting, etc.. Overall, this is the perfect home for a large group to have a fabulous vacation.

Winter Vacation
The views at Summit Ridge are amazing! The living/kitchen/dining area was very large and accommodated our large family of 16. The only problem in this area was the stove top. Someone evidently used a scrub brush around the knobs on the range. We couldn’t read the numbers or hi or low. This made a little guess work in the cooking process. Although I don’t know if anything can be done to correct this.
Bedrooms/baths were spacious and our 6 grandsons always enjoy having a bunk room

Simply put, this place cannot be beaten for the view or for the location relative to Beech Mountain. The family room is ideal for a large group of people to gather with plenty of comfortable seating. Multiple eating areas provide plenty of space for everyone, and the deck is fantastic for relaxing and grilling. Winter or summer, this house is a great choice!

Perfect Thanksgiving
We had a bit of trouble finding the right driveway to the property, but once found and unloaded our cars, the views are magnificent. Stunning views of Sugar Mountain and The Blue Ridge. The house is well maintained and very comfortable. Adequate kitchen appliances and utensils. Beds are mostly all king sized and comfortable. The best part about it is the location! So much to do around the area. There were 13 of us and we had enough room for all of us in the living and dining areas. Host is very responsive which is a plus. We would absolutely stay again.

Renting the property was great, property manager was kind and available if needed. There was plenty of room for our group of 11 adults. Could’ve been cleaned alittle bit better for our stay but it is a really big house so areas can be missed, but overall our family vacation was a success!

Gorgeous views comfortable house
We stayed at Summit Ridge with a few friends in order to attend a wedding. It is a comfortable, clean property with stunning views of the high country. It’s great for groups - it has a ton of seating for eating, and hanging out. The driveway can make accessing the property a little difficult so I recommend having an all wheel drive vehicle even in summer time. The check out process is also quite lengthy so if you are the sort of person who wants a property where everything is done for you, this is probably not for you. But it is very clean and comfortable and spacious and was truly a relaxing, homey space for us. We loved it!

The main living area and dining rooms had ample space for our family to gather. The home was well-maintained with ample parking-difficult to find in this area. An additional refrigerator in the garage would have been a plus for the size of our group (12). The owner answered texts and calls very promptly.
