We had a fabolous week in Villa Tolo.
2 adults and 2 children.
Spacious house with magnificient view of Tolo Bay, perfectly situates for the combination: ancient sights and enjoying the beach life.
Very friendly owner.
We would gladly go back

We enjoyed our visit to Tolo and the hospitality of the home owner.

We were a party of 5 adults (all over 70), we chose Villa Tolon from the internet because of the view and it boasted 5 bathrooms.
We arrived late at night by taxi from Athens airport and Dimitris, the owner, was waiting for us with the key and to show us around the property.
Our initial impression was of the spaciousness of the villa and all of the balconies, on moving to the large lower verandah, off the lounge, we were delighted to see a huge reddish moon emerging out of the sea over the Argolic Gulf, the view really is wonderful. Add to this the constant sound of the cicadas, the occasional calls of the Scops Owls, the scented air rising from the garden and-the warmth, we knew we were in Greece and were going to enjoy our holiday.
The lounge/dining room/kitchen are large as are the bedrooms, the quaintly designed en-suite shower rooms are rather on the small side but adequate, with plenty of hot water day and night. There are air conditioners in each room, all of them worked well. Outside, the gardens are planted with many trees and the villa is not overlooked at all, it's very private. Dimitris built a new, stylish BBQ during our stay and we made good use of it.
Tolon village is on the coast below the villa, it's a steep road and it takes about 20 minutes to walk down to the sandy beach, longer to come back up. After a couple of days we hired a car which we thought was a necessity although taxis are readily available. The village itself is quite busy and perhaps over developed but we quite liked it, we found several tavernas which were quiet and served very good food, our favourite was "To Steki" which is right on the sandy front, they have quiet, live bouzouki music some evenings, another favourite was "To Neon", again on the beach but closer to the port.
We enjoyed trips to Hydra, driving to Ermioni to catch the 10.10 ferry, Nafplion is a gem, the amphitheatre at Epidavros is well worth a visit. There are many beautiful beaches within easy distance of Villa Tolo, we enjoyed the quiet pebbly beach close to the ancient site of Asine which is a stone's throw from Tolon centre, the taverna "Asine Te" above the beach serves good food.
To summarise Villa Tolon is comfortable and good value, Dimitris was most helpful and kind to us, he wanted us to have an enjoyable holiday.

We (a family of 6) visited this beautiful "mansion" for 4 days. Very nice view and terraces in connection with every room that has its own bathroom.
The house is in walking distance to the city and beach. Appx. 7-10 minutes walk.
Very hospital and helpful host (Dimitris)
We would very much like to come back again
Happy holidays to you

This is great place to spend you Greek vacation. The house is specious and the view is amazing. Everything in house was as described. Our party of seven people had plenty of room. 15 min downhill is beautiful Tolo beach. Tolo is charming quite little town close to everything. A lot of things you need, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc, are in Tolo. Car is a must. You can explore Peloponnese or you can just relax on you veranda and soak in the view. Dimitris was very nice and responsive. We will definitely come back to this place for our next Greek vacation (if we lucky to get one) and we highly recommend this place to our friends.

The house is basic in many respects but the kitchen is well stocked with pots, plates and a big refrigerator. The view from the balcony is spectacular and calming, and you will appreciate the fixed awning over it blocking the sun on very hot days. The kids will love the resident clean and friendly cat. The town below isn't so attractive but there are two beaches nearby which are nice, and of course, if you are using this house as your base to visit the different archeological sites, then perfect. The bedding needs some updating and we found the mattresses too soft for us. Those mattresses need a little more support in the middle. The house is in a quiet position but two nights we heard barking dogs, and one night we heard a rooster. The location feels safe, and the owner is enormously helpful. He kindly gave us beach towels which we hadn't brought.

We had a great time in Tolo. Ideal house to visit ancient attractions and afterwards relax at the beach. Great that the owner takes time to explain nearby sightseeings.

This villa was perfect for our family's (5 adults and 4 kids) vacation in Greece. The house is fantastic, in an amazing location. The house has everything you could wish for, and Dimitris is incredibly helpful on anything you might need. We had everything we wanted and needed. Dimitris is readily available to respond to any questions, concerns, or inquiries. The property was clean when we arrived, Dimitris was there to meet us and explain how the property worked, and he provided several helpful suggestions regarding places to visit and how to get there.
Staying in the villa gave us a chance to experience Greece. We used several nearby stores for some meals, we dined out for others. We quickly learned road signs, parking and rented a car.
The sea is very clean and nice!
Overall, this was a wonderful vacation for our families. I highly recommend this villa for all families.
