The Mirador das Areas is a unique refuge, in a small rural center of stone houses, and has a privileged location, facing the sea, in the protected natural area of Razo Baldaio.
Walking down to the beach through the paths between the dunes, which are practically in front of the house, is a real pleasure.
It is a very quiet area, it really seems that you are in another era, but with the comforts of modern life, good mobile communication, WIFI… and incredible views of the sea from the whole house.
It has approximately 130 m2 in total, distributed over 3 floors. And an outdoor area, which is accessed from the living room, of about 25 or 30 m2 designed to eat and take a dip in the fresh air while enjoying panoramic views of the sea, the dune field and the beach. It is equipped with a table with chairs, a barbecue and a couple of small sun loungers and a plunge pool of approx. 3 m x 3.5 m and depth 1 m. The plunge pool has a security fence, which prevents access to children if parents do not want to. The plunge pool and the garden have beautiful panoramic views of the sea, the dune field and the beach. A few meters from the house, about 50 m, in the back, is the parking area and the garden, also equipped with table with chairs and sun loungers, equally beautiful views of all natural space and the coastal mountains.
On the ground floor is the kitchen-living room with fireplace in an open space and a small toilet.
On the upper floor there is a suite with a full bathroom with a shower cabin and a beautiful bathtub, and opens onto a gallery with the same views of the sea as from the ground floor (from the bed and shower you can see the sea !! )
The upper floor has another small room that is intended as a children's room or single room if it is for adults, which is part of a family suite that is located on the ground floor under cover. Also with full bathroom, this one with shower. This room also has the same spectacular sea views (tb from the bed and the shower you see the sea !!) and overlooks a terrace with fantastic views.
The whole structure of the house is made of reclaimed noble wood slabs and stone walls, we have given it a current air always respecting the natural identity of the house.

We loved our stay. The property is beautifully refurbished and decorated and the location was perfect with an easy walk to a spectacular beach as well as being well placed to explore the area.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Mirador las Areas. The lovely old stone house has been refurbished immaculately and tastefully and is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts were incredibly generous with their welcome gifts of local delicacies, and could not have done more to ensure we had a great time - we are very grateful to them! The property is in a little hamlet with beautiful views of the sea. The walk to the beach takes about 20 minutes down a track (a bit longer on the way back as it's quite steep!) and our two dogs absolutely loved running down there to the sea. The walk into into the town takes a little longer (and again is steep on the way back) but there are several restaurants and bars there which we enjoyed visiting. Further afield we had some lovely days out in A Coruna and various ports and little towns along the coast. We would highly recommend this property as a lovely base for visiting the north west coast and countryside of Spain.

Spectacular Views
A wonderful property with spectacular views. Many opportunities for walking and cycling in the area. A good selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance, although the walk back up the hill was a bit of a challenge.

A real little gem of a place!
If you're looking for a cool place on the Costa da Morte with a view of the coast then look no further!
The property may be small but it's impressive what the owners have managed to pack into this quiet, stylish retreat. My wife and I stayed with our dog and it was perfect for us for a few days to relax. The outside space may be limited but with such a beautiful coastline on the doorstep, it was perfect for use in the morning or evening once we spent the day exploring. Razo is only a short drive away but you can also walk there, through the dunes and along the beach. We didn't utilise the local surf school but it's clear that it is a popular spot for surfing but it never felt busy.
Roberto was on hand to greet us when we arrived and as well as showing us around the property he took the time to recommend lots of local places to eat, drink and visit. The information that we were sent in advance of our arrival was really great too and packed full of ideas of places to visit which was really useful. There were also lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property, including some provisions such cold beers in the fridge (perfect after a long drive to get there!), local cheese, wine, water, milk, coffee, fruit etc which made us feel very welcome - thank you Eva and Roberto!

A Seaside Jewel.
The property was a perfect country coastal experience. The historic charm and character of the restored stone house was more than we had hoped for. The details of the restoration were a perfect blend of modern convenience but preserved the feel of the history that makes Galicia so special. The location is perfect to explore Galicia. We were almost tempted to just stay around the house listening to the sea next to the wood burning stove and read a book. We were able to go to Lugo, Santiago de Compestelllo and other historic sites and get back in time to take in beautiful sunsets by the beach. The hosts were also amazing, making sure we were comfortable and providing useful information about the area. These guys have a a talent for creating a special place-would highly recommend it!!

An incredible stay!
This is an extraordinary place! We highly recommend it! The view from the house, over the carefully tended landscape, to the preserved dunes, and to the beach and ocean are glorious. The house has been ingeniously restored, with respect for its origins in every detail. Each floor is a surprise, and cleverly designed. Much of the furniture is beautifully handcrafted.
We were given a wonderfully warm welcome, with a local pie, fruit, and more.
Stay here! The area is rich in places to explore and dramatic coast paths to walk.

Ein Traum zum Entspannen
Ein wunderschönes Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Super zum Erholen oder in Ruhe zu arbeiten (Internet auch für Videokonferenzen gut geeignet). Sehr nette Nachbarschaft. Bäckerwagen bringen jeden Morgen frisches Brot an die Tür. Sehr schöner Kütenwanderweg, klasse Surfstrand mit Kursangebot 15min zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Vermieterin Eva hat sich sehr nett um uns gekümmert und alles ganz hervorragend für uns arrangiert. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Casita de Ensueño
Mi pareja y yo, hemos disfrutado de una semanita de ensueño en el Mirador das Areas. Se trata de una pequeña casita con todo lujo de detalles, en el que aunque el tiempo acompañe no quieres salir de ella.
Al abrir la ventana o si sales a la terraza de arriba puedes oir y ver las olas de la playa. Ideal para sentarte junto con un libro y disfrutar.
Está a 10 minutos andando más o menos de la preciosa Playa de Razo, en el que puedes ir por un camino disfrutando del precioso paisaje sin ningún peligro. La playa es muy larga y en nuestra estancia (Septiembre), por las mañana hemos podido disfrutar de paseos con nuestra perrita sin ningún problema.
La casa es Dogfriendly, que siempre es de agradecer.
Eva y Roberto siempre están pendiente de indicarte cualquier duda que te surja antes de llegar (indicando ubicación, etc) y al llegar Roberto nos dió varios consejos gastronómicos y turísticos que totalmente recomendable, dado que se les ve que aman su tierra.
Sin duda, si volvemos por esa zona, repetiremos, dado que es el mejor lugar para disfrutar de la naturaleza y desconectar del stress del día a día.

Propietarios muy majos, te facilitan un montón de información de la zona y están disponibles en todo momento. Zona muy tranquila que permite dormir a pierna suelta. La casa esta perfectamente equipada.

A Wonderful Break
Very clean beautifully appointed and designed property.
Really lovely unspoilt beaches. About 1km to the village where there are a 3 or 4 cafes/eateries and a supermarket. Large supermarket 15 mins away. Lots of local foods and wine to try. We did day trips to Santiago, Fisterra and other beaches .
Our teenage girls learned to surf which they loved and the whole place has a very happy feel to it - elderly and young people alike.
The hosts live about 1 km away. They were very generous and helpful if we wanted to know anything. Would highly recommend.

Kleines toll renoviertes romantisches Steinhaus mit tollem Meerblick
Wir wurden Sehr herzlich von Eva & Roberto empfangen! Ein voller Obstkorb, eine Empanada und Getränke im Kühlschrank begrùssten uns! Sie gaben uns ganz tolle Tipps um die Umgebung zu Erkunden. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und man erkennt die Liebe im Detail! Das Häuschen ist eine kleine romantische Oase mit tollen Ausblick! Ein Kleiner Pool rundet das ganze ab. Wir haben uns hier für 5 Tage sehr sehr wohl gefühlt!!
Vielen Dank nochmal an Eva & Roberto für die Zeit, die wir hier verbringen durften.

Galician Paradise
Eva and Roberto have created a wonderful escape to Galicia. The house is stunning - immaculate, fashionable, comfortable and the views are breathtaking. The bonus of the rear garden patio area overlooking the houses, fields and coast provide a fab spot for family card games and glasses of wine while the sun sets. Our children enjoyed a week of surf lessons at Raz, we found beautiful empty beaches, delicious food, interesting sites to explore, a rural forest escape. Great WiFi but also managed to leave our normal world behind for a proper break. Thank you Eva and Roberto for sharing your lovely home and your good advice.

-the price performance ratio is unrentable
-the beach and the nature is a dream
-sometimes it smells of farm and there are a few flies but that doesnt do anything.

Ein Traum "fast" am Ende der Welt
Ein mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtetes Häuschen mit guter Lage in Strandnähe. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig und wohnlich - speziell der Kamin!
Eva war äußerst hilfsbereit und half mit Tipps zu Restaurants und naheliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Unser Aufenthalt war leider viel zu kurz, um alles geniessen zu können ....

Prachtig
We zijn warm ontvangen door de eigenaren, zij namen alle tijd om ons tips te geven en om de omgeving te verkennen. Zij verraste ons ook met plaatselijke lekkernijen en de eerste levensbehoefte zodat je niet direct naar de winkel hoeft te rennen, geweldig! Het huis is heel praktisch ingedeeld, wellicht wel iets kraps voor 6 grote volwassen. Wij waren met 2 en hebben het fantastisch gehad. Het huis is super mooi ingericht en het uitzicht uit alle ramen is adembenemend. Over elk meubel/decoratiestuk is nagedacht, het lijkt wel een aflevering van VT wonen , zo mooi allemaal. Over de wandeling naar het strand deden wij iets langer, maar we bleven dan ook regelmatig staan om van de prachtige natuur te genieten. Op het mooie schone strand hebben we tweemaal dolfijnen voorbij zien zwemmen, wat een feest was dat! De keuken was ook heel volledig, alles wat je nodig hebt is er met zelfs een ruime koelkast met vriesgedeelte. De bedden waren stevig en de matrassen hard, we hebben heerlijk geslapen.
Ik raad dit huis zeker aan het is een genot om er te verblijven en de eigenaren zijn supervriendelijk en staan altijd voor je klaar.

Das Haus: kleines Juwel. ehemaliges Steinhaus mit viel Geschmack und Liebe bis ins Detail restauriert. Wir haben uns super wohl gefuehlt.
Umgebung: gelegen an einem der schoensten Straende Galiziens. Der Strand und die Duenen sind zu Fuss erreichbar.
Die Vermieter: Eva ist wahnsinnig nett und sehr um ihre Gaeste bemueht. Sie hat mit ihren Tipps unseren Aufenthalt bereichert.

A pearl in the country
Beautiful refurbished and high level decorated cottage with spectacular views from bedroom, kitchen and pool just a short walk away from a beautiful beach, but miles away from mainstream tourism. For those who are looking for it, it is definitely a place to be, also ideally with kids.
Thanks to our host Roberto for the outstanding hospitality, the good restaurant suggestions and the filled fridge. So we could enjoy the holiday from the first minute.

Galicia salvaje y auténtica y a la vez muy cerca del casco, con sitios para tomar algo y comprar. Ideal para visitar la costa da morte, A Coruña y Santiago. magnifique séjour
c'était presque parfait, le seul bémol c'est que nous la pensions plus proche de la plage.
les propriétaires sont très à l'écoute des moindres désirs.
le frère et la soeur sont adorables.
la maison mignonne et confortable est nichée dans un petit village de pêcheurs/cultivateurs qui pour certains sont encore en activité. tous ces gens ont été accueillants, souriants, vraiment un endroit sympathique.
et puis... le top... la plage... rien que pour nous sur des kilomètres.
bref, à la question "conseilleriez-vous cette location à un ami?" la réponse est bien sûr oui!

This wee cottage has been tastefully refurbished and redecorated. The accommodation is splendid, clean and fully equipped. The welcome and generosity of the owners and this trully beautiful cottage make us feel like home.
This is a place where you can enjoy the beauty of the green meadows and the calmness of the sea . Astonishing views of that spectacular scenery from the cottage . The shore of the spectacular "Razo" beach can be easily reached by walking among the wonderful sand dunes.
We highly recomend this place to anyone looking forward to spend their holidays in a unique location and relaxing surroundings.We will surely stay here again next time.

Escapada perfecta en A Costa da Morte
Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en esta casa y aprovechando el buen tiempo de estos días decidimos alquilarla de nuevo.
