Very well equipped cottage that’s perfect for a home away from home. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you need. Jane was extremely friendly and gave us some great tips on the area. All in all, a fantastic week spent at Gingerbread Cottage.

The cottage was very clean, welcoming and homely. Very well placed for beach and walking.
At the beginning of our stay the weather was hot and we kept the windows open at night which was a mistake as the main road was close by and busy with lorries!
4.5
Excellent location for local pubs, and lovely walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the church.
Noise from the busy A35, obviously no one's fault.
4.5
Beautiful little cottage, spotlessly clean.
4.5
Perfect position and very good thoroughly equipped cottage. The beds and living area were very comfortable and a lot of thought had gone into the little added touches.
The garden is very small but it is as per listed details.

Everything to be honest.... lovely cute cottage. So we'll equipped.... close enough to everywhere but far enough to feel in middle of nowhere!!! We were invited to watch the Bell ringers!! Pub literally across the road.... friendly and welcoming...
2 teeny things.... advertised bbq but wasn't one and we took food for it.... didn't matter had a grill lol!! Church bells..literally out of main room window bong all night.... i found it funny I don't sleep well anyway but may bother some

Fabulous little cottage with all amenities. Easy location for some nice day trips.
We had to wash all cutlery and crockery before using as had been left dirty by previous guests. No big deal. Abandoned oven as was same.
We had issues getting into place as Booking.com gave us wrong key code but eventually resolved after speaking to neighbour.

Fabulous location and the property was perfect for this trip. A very spacious kitchen for the size of the property.
All good.

Good location. perfect cottage.

Cottage had everything we needed and was so cosy.

Gingerbread cottage was very well equipped, comfy and clean.
We took our dog, reggie and the surrounding area is excellent for dog walking. We didn’t use the car all weekend. Definitely will go back.
The only thing we had to be careful of with the dog, was the front door opened straight onto a road.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage.
There was nothing to dislike.
4.5
Lovely cosy cottage with lots of character
4.5
It was quirky. Well supplied with crockery etc. Near pubs/restaurants and not far from other towns and attractions
The settee was not very comfortable- sad flat seating.
Wish the heating had come on some evenings downstairs or given information on how it worked

Very quaint with character. Sitting room was comfortable and courtyard lovely. We loved the walk down to Seatown and being near the George and Clock.

Cottage was lovely. Clean and very cosy. Spar shop is 5 minute walk from cottage. About 10 minute drive from both Bridport and Lyme Regis with plenty of restaurant options, chippy's, cafés, gift shops etc. Many close beaches to choose from and the Jurassic Coast. Our 2 cats enjoyed their stay too 😸😸 they settled in nicely.
Cottage is on a road which turned out to be fairly busy so was a bit noisy.

Beautifully kept with everything we needed - very cosy and we both agreed that the bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! Great location to venture out and about too. Will happily recommend to family and friends
Nothing at all - prefect!

Very cosy, clean and perfectly equipped for our needs.
Crossing the very busy A35 was a bit of a bore and we could hear the traffic noise. Bit that was my fault for not looking at the map properly.
4.5
cosy cottage with everything you would need.

Great location, very cosy and clean. The decoration was very sweet and the special treat because was Christmas, was such a good surprise.
The bed for a couple is really small! A new vegetable peeler is needed.
4.5
storage heater in large bedroom was not working when we arrived, even though others in the house were. it did work the next day, so maybe settings need looking at.

The cottage was very cosy and exceptionally clean. The host contacted me on arrival to make sure everything was ok and to ask if we needed anything. Good recommendations on places to visit and where to eat.

The property is in a good location, close to the coast and amenities. It was our first time in this area and we really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is vet comfortable, with everything you need.
Not much , the weather was a bit cold when we visited and we couldn’t get the heating warm enough.
4.5
Very warm and cosy.
Facilities perfect with everything we needed for our stay.
Great location for exploring the Jurassic coast.
Constant traffic noise due to location on A35.
Some of the instructions re walks etc.. (in the folder in the cottage) seemed to relate to a different cottage?!
4.5
Everything else!!! Perfect little home from home.
Late check in but understandable due to Covid.

The cottage was like home from home, it was so comfortable. The owners have provided everything you need including a welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. The location is just right for a beach holiday or for exploring the area or for just putting your feet up and resting.
I can't think of anything we didn't like apart from the location being so close to a main road. You soon get used to it and crossing the road becomes easier the longer you stay.
4.5
A lovely box of biscuits and milk in the fridge on our arrival.
Beds were extremely comfy.
The cottage was situated just off the main road so a little noisy at times, especially in the garden or with the window open.
We arrived on a particular cold June afternoon and it was 15C inside the cottage - it took all evening to warm the cottage up using a portable heater as the storage heaters weren't turned on - I'm surprised an investment of automatic electric heaters haven't been considered.
For the cost it would have been nice to have a dishwasher too!

Cosy and comfortable. Great location for walks, nice country pub nearby and not too faraway from the beech.

Great location, within walking distance to Seatown beach
Cute little cottage
Brilliant parking (lots of space, flowers, Chapel views)
2nd bedroom had space for our travel cot
My son enjoyed photos and figurines of animals in the house.
A bigger garden/patio would have been nice (there's space for a small outdoor table)

Location was good for visiting the West Dorset coast. Cosy cottage, well equipped. Parking. Very clean . 20 min walk to Seatown and lovely coastal walks from there including the Golden Cap. Good village pub .
Just off extremely busy main road, traffic quietened at night but hard to cross !
Church bells chimed every hour which again got used to but kept us awake a couple of nights
