Well equipped room, very clean
I missed breakfast as hadn’t been told times etc as booking not made by me

Accommodation was very good for a small country pub. Food was good and staff friendly and welcoming. Obviously not a prime tourist area, but I would happily stay there again should I be in the area.
4.2
Great atmosphere and good food
More seats for bar ,had to stand but there was empty tables and seats reserved but not for a good hour later

Evening meal was lovely and room was clean, pity no hangers in Room Dolly so I could hang shirt and trousers.
I went for Breakfast at 7.30 to be told the Chef hadn't turned up yet. I waited until 7.45 and still a no show so had to check out.
As I had paid for Breakfast I have asked for a refund but nobody has returned my complaint e-mail.

Fantastic to have a bath. Very clean, nice decor and comfortable. Located near to where we needed to be for that weekend.
Step between bathroom and the room which you can easily stub your toe on. Baked beans weren't hot and the toast didn't see much of the toaster.

Chic boutique rooms, staff were amazing thank you for accommodating me with my 2 additions, loved it
Nothing the staff or hotel could do anything about!
4.2
Comfortable bed, nice bedding, nice towels, White Company shower products, amazing pub with superb beers and food and friendly and professional staff 😀

The breakfast, which was included, was very well cooked and generous in amount. I had an evening meal, which was imaginative and excellent quality. The staff including the duty manager were pleasant and friendly.
The bedrooms need urgent review and attention. The one I was booked into had a ventilation system just outside which was extremely noisy. Staff changed my room, but inside the second room there was a large green security light which came on and stayed on all night, and disturbed my sleep. In the morning it became clear that the duty manager knew about the problem and had had previous complaints, but the owning company had failed to act.

Close to the wedding venue. Comfortable bed.
Bit noisy in our room as the fans for the kitchen were just beneath our window.
4.2
Very noisy room above the kitchen premises. Loud ventilator fan ran most of the time.

Clean room great food

My room was fresh, modern and spacious. Very comfortable bed and nice touches like bottled water and White Company toiletries. Excellent, generous breakfast, cooked freshly to order. All staff very pleasant. I didn't dine there, but it seems to have an enthusiastic local following.
I was disappointed that a problem with the shower temperature, reported on day 2, had not been sorted when I left on day 4.

Lovely breakfast , nice hotel
Room a little hot and noisy extractor fan by the bedroom window

Clean room and friendly staff, good breakfast.
A little over priced.

They had gluten-free options in the restaurant. Portion sizes, drinks, and special meal deals in the evenings were very good. The room was quite spacious. Wifi worked.
Found and removed 5 big black spiders 🕷 in our room during our 2 day stay. Our 15 year old is phobic of them. Breakfast took too long. First morning took 1 hour at 7.30am. 2nd morning took 1.5 hours from 8.30am and my toast was only cooked on one side.. Maybe a buffet breakfast would speed things up?

The Manger was especially helpful and very efficient seeing us to our accommodation. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The front of House restaurant Manager was super busy and efficiently dispatched patrons to their tables, he was exceptionally kind and fitted us in; we hadn't known to book in advance. The food was good value, great choices and variety. Service from everyone; all the young woman waiters as well was "beyond". Also, I liked the character of the place - lounge and building and bar. Bonus - fun Llamas to watch being fed.
Nothing: everyone and everything was superb.

Tried to explain about this issue. They refused to let me have alteration date.

Excellent staff. Comfortable room. Nice pub.
Food was average. Fish and chips poor..not fresh fish, small, soggy batter.

Staff were excellent and helpful. Particularly the bar staff both in the evening and the morning. I’d walked 50 odd miles over two days and they couldn’t have done more for me
Only niggling thing was the window was open and thermostat was off so it was pretty cold when I got there. The shower wasn’t the easiest to figure out and was really hot at first but these were minor foibles really

The staff were all very kind and helpful everyone had a smile. The meals were a treat and presented very well.Really liked the interior tables were well spread out, chairs comfy and a pleasant atmosphere Our room was called Cosy and it was certainly that. The bed, pillows and duvet were superb had a great nights sleep.Location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the Stafford show ground.
Very minor issue with the shower door off the runner at the bottom and a tile that needed putting back in place didnt affect usage and shower water was lovely and hot. It did say in the details on booking.com garden view but our room certainly didnt have that again it didnt bother us as only there for one night. Would have liked a biscuit or two with the coffee/tea facilities.
4.2
convenient for work. friendly efficient staff, great breakfast
small desk in room would have helped, but nice place.
