The house is first-class accommodation for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in Abruzzo. The private pool is perfect for spending time outside looking at incredible views of the countryside. The nearby villages are beautiful and great places to visit. There are a variety of bars and restaurants nearby, and the people in the area are very friendly and helpful. The hosts David and Nicky were always available to assist with information regarding the area, places to visit, and all in all a lovely couple. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to visit this stunning part of Italy.

Lovely stay
The photos don't do justice to this beautiful spot--the gardens are carefully tended and overflowing with roses and lavender, all the outdoor spaces are stunning. The kitchen is huge (stays cool in the heat)--very comfortable and well furnished for a group. The pool is shady and beautiful, mature trees provide lots of peace and privacy. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommended!

Really really amazing villa!
With a group of 7 friends we stayed in this villa for one week. Time really flew by and I wish we could have stayed a little longer. The villa was truly amazing! Even better than we expected it to be. To start the hosts & caretakers of the house are very nice and helpfull. The whole house was clean when we arrived and there was a basket with some local fresh products. Even a bottle of wine and a cold bottle of prosecco! We met one of the hosts, David, when he came to check on the pool. They really respect your privacy so don't worry about that! We had a nice talk with David and he told us about the house and area and how they ended up there, lovely to hear the stories. The caretaker of the house, Maria, was so helpfull, we even one time forgot our key inside the house and she came all the way to us to open the door! The inside of the house has everything you need. A big kitchen with seating area, it is truly the most equipted kitchen I have ever seen in a rental house. We did some nice cooking there, the stove and oven are huge which is nice when you are cooking for a group. There is a big living room with games, books, etc. There are 2 good bathrooms, with everything you need. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 2 x with double bed and 1 x with double bed and two single beds. The beds are comfortable and there is some closet space. Then the outside area, this is truly amazing. There is a large rooftop terrace. Which is connected to the hallway on the first floor and to the path to the swimming pool behind the house. This terrace has a table, some seats and some lounge chairs and sofa. The views from this terrace are breathtaking. In the front part of the house the garden has a large table where we had most of our meals. There is also a outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and a roofed outdoor seating area. The swimming pool is spacious and has nice lounging beds around. Everywhere outdoor are beach umbrellas to create shade whenever you want. All together the house and the outdoor areas are AMAZING. I would really recommend everyone to go here and I will try to come back here some day!! The area is not so touristy which I really like, good prices for food and really good food! Some towns nearby that are really nice to visit. Thanks to the hosts for this amazing week we had here! And hopefully see you again!

Perfect
The most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The house is beautiful and in a lovely area. We spent most of our days in the pool and our evenings on the upstairs terrace to enjoy the view of the moon over Casalanguida. Our children loved the sitting room, which was well equipped with games and a smart TV, and we were all really happy with the excellent WiFi.
Would definitely love to come back!

Bella villa

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Lovely property in beautiful surroundings
Lovely property in a beautiful area, the local village was fantastic and the people were amazing, so friendly and helpful, would definitely consider coming back to this area. The property was extremely well equipped, only downside was that the pool is in an area surrounded by trees so we needed to fish out a lot of leaves and insects frequently, otherwise it was just perfect.

Secluded,rural,Ideal relaxation holiday
Lovely hideaway in the hills.Nicky and David were very helpful in providing all that we needed and Maria who lives nearby was on hand to make sure everything went smoothly whilst not encroaching on our privacy.House has all that you need and a short walk takes you into town for bars/cafe and a small shop for emergency supplies. The coast is not too far away with endless array of places to eat.All in all a very relaxing 10 day break.

Amazing house in peaceful countryside
Wanting a taste of true italy and to experience the more rural side of the country we booked casa anna. The house and location comletely met our brief.
Casa anna is located down a farm track in the middle of very rural Abruzzo. It's about a 15 minute walk to the nearest village of Casalanguida which has a couple of bars and shops for essentials. Unfortunately during our stay it was far too hot to walk up there as its uphill (europe was experiencing a heatwave and it was 40+ during the day) but we did drive up (5 minutes) a few times. The villa is about a 30 min drive for Vasto the nearest large town with a large supermarket, restaurants, bars and more touristy stuff. There is an aquapark near vasto which is good if you have children.
The villa itself was very well kept and extremely spacious and provided everything we needed for our stay. It really did feel like a home away from home The pool was very welcome especially in the heat. There are lots of different seating areas both inside and out both in the shade and in the sun.
The owners were helpful and responsive to queries, and Maria and Juliano who look after the house were lovely.
We really loved our stay at casa anna and would return if we were looking to stay in the area again.
Abruzzo itself is exceptionally rural and really does provide an experience of true rural italy - be warned the roads are very poor due the environment - there are often mudslides and the roads are swept away, they are often very windy as the area is very hilly!
The only negative issue experienced by us was the temperature as italy was experiencing a heatwave, it was very warm both inside the villa and out so we didn't really get to see as much of the surrounding area as we would normally have done.

As a family we wanted a relaxing quiet holiday . We found this property on the web and after a chat to the owner who very helpful and friendly we booked the property . After arriving in Rome and then attempting to find the carhirevwhich I must say was hell on earth and organised confusion. Van got and our journey began the direction e revived to the villa were excellent and we arrived on time .
The villa was stunning with its views and large spacious rooms and the items left were a great help to begin the kids adventure . We were also informed about the local bars shops and places the kids would enjoy is aqua land Vasto . The pool was clean and catered for us all and the roof top balcony was the place for diner and lunch to relax and take in the views at night of the splendid countryside . The people in the village were helpful and the ice cream in San roccos bar to die for .the beer was good too .
Top place to relax , walk and stay 5 star

lovely villa, well appointed, private, fab views
We flew to Rome which meant a long drive 3-4 hours to get to the villa not helped by sat nav tasking us the scenic route off the main road and over the hills. The villa is lovely, located at the end of a track in hilly farmland and completely private and not overlooked. The views over the hills are spectacular and the village can be seen from the terraces. Casalinguida is a pretty hill village, small and quiet. The few shops are ok for basic needs and there is a cashpoint and pharmacy. The bars are small and there is no restaurant. It is a decent walk from the villa, maybe 15mins, but an easy 5 min drive. The villa is very comfortable, well equipped and spacious. There is good wi fi, sat tv , games, books , etc. The living areas and bedrooms are a good size and v comfortable. There are several lovely terraces and balconies The pool is very nice, being on a raised terrace at the rear of the property and in full sun until about 4pm( in July/August). It is graduated from about 3' to over 6' deep with a platform around the edge about 3' deep and a deeper middle area. It is not fenced off. Maria and her husband live locally and were very helpful for any queries we had, and David, the owner responded to e mails and phone calls promptly, although our questions were not urgent! We did find the location of the villa a little more remote than expected so being the sort of family who likes to explore the area rather than pool sitting every day, we did have to drive quite a lot. Vasto, about 20 mins drive away, was a lovely classic old Italian baroque style town with a modern area for all your needs. There is a lively beach here as well with disco bars, etc We drove to Pompeii and Herculaneum for a day (about 2 hours) and took the passenger ferry to Tremeti island( 1 hr drive, 1 hr on ferry) which was a lovely day. Several other day excursions to see beautiful towns (eg Sulmina), stunning castles (eg Roccascalegna) and lovely ancient hill villages (Atessa) but due to lack of tourist information in the area, we largely had to suss things out ourselves. Very few if any Brits around - even tourist info in Vasto did not speak English or had any English pamphlets. Overall, a fantastic holiday in undiscovered Italy, away from the tourist track, in a beautiful relaxing, quiet and private villa. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful house in magnificent countryside
We spent the first 11 days of our honeymoon in this wonderful house. It was a perfect, remote location for restorative days spent on the sun deck, reading, dipping in and out of the cooling pool, and relaxing evenings barbecuing and eating leisurely suppers looking out onto the superb views. An abundant supply of shops, a couple of bars and a wonderful Agritourismo within a couple of miles meant we didn't need to travel far and a few pretty towns nearby gave us more varied restaurants when we wanted them. The sea was a mere 20 minutes' drive and the location of the house gave excellent access to the mountains.
The house itself was really well equipped and we will definitely be back with friends, to really make use of all the room in the house!
All in all, a lovely villa for a peaceful Italian holiday.
