About this villa rental

CIN: BR07400391000028412
This ancient Trullo from the early 1700s has been completely restored by expert "Trulli Masters," led by the renowned architect Aldo de' Grossi. While preserving its original style and structure, it meets the highest standards of comfort. The elegant and prestigious furnishings have been carefully designed to offer the utmost comfort to its guests.

The residence comprises SIX spacious bedrooms, four with double beds and two with comfortable single beds, and FIVE bathrooms, one with a bathtub and three en suite. The living area includes several lounges and living spaces, a large and fully equipped kitchen, THREE panoramic patios, each with a dining table for six to eight people, and THREE large furnished terraces, one of which is about 100 square meters and partially set up as a dining area for 12 to 18 people. A super-panoramic exclusive swimming pool measuring 12m x 5m overlooks the magnificent Valley of the Trulli, complete with a private pine forest. Additionally, the same ancient Trullo building includes two fully renovated apartments, each with two bathrooms, two independent kitchens, and spacious outdoor furnished areas.

Upon booking and confirming your stay, we can arrange bicycle rentals (mountain bikes, city bikes, or electric bikes) for fantastic excursions in the surrounding areas, including the nearby fairy-tale-like cycle path "La Via dell'Acqua," which runs through the Itria Valley from our location to Locorotondo, winding through hundreds of Trulli in the valley. Also upon request, we offer the rental of a powerful BAT inflatable boat with a 90 HP engine for long excursions in the Ionian Sea, in search of the most beautiful beach or for a fishing trip. Holistic massages performed by expert Master Masseurs can be booked at the time of confirming your stay under highly advantageous conditions.

Never having visited Puglia before, our whole family were unprepared for the serenity and character of this area of Italy. The Valle d’Itria has an almost magical, peaceful atmosphere and a sense that visitors can reconnect with nature and a culture which has continued through generations. Staying in this wonderful Trullo enhanced the feeling that time almost stops while you are there and gave us the chance to take a breath, unwind and totally relax. It has a totally unique and other-worldly charm and has been beautifully decorated and furnished as a “home away from home”. Sleeping under the amazingly tall cone ceilings was a lovely, restorative experience and the combination of being able to leave the windows open and the thick stone walls kept the property cool even on the hottest of days. The outside space is just as seductive, with a shady terrace for lounging around and al fresco meals, and the glorious shared pool area. The latter is set within beautifully landscaped gardens and has hammocks under the pine trees and sun loungers to take in the panoramic views across the valley. It is also a great location from which to explore the area, even if like us you only manage half day excursions before being lured back to the tranquility of the trullo to while away the afternoon before setting out again for some truly wonderful evening meals. All of this would make for a lovely holiday, but what really made it special was our hosts Daniela and Daniel. They were always available to help with recommendations, advice and were incredibly generous with their time and kindness. Thank you so much to you both for helping to make our stay in Puglia such an unforgettable experience...we hope to return to this wonderful place!

We had a great Trullo experience - enough Trulli/history with good balance of comfort. The property is attractive and comfortable, and the main trulli bedrooms have fantastic ceilings within the trulli structure. We enjoyed the outdoor living space, particularly in the evenings with good dining space and views over the valley. The property is in a good location in the Itria valley to visit the many historic centres nearby and within easy reach of the coast, beaches, Monopoli and Polignano. The area provided lots to entertain us and our kids (8 & 11) with a balance of water park, beach, boat trips with walking around historic centres. Daniele is a great host and was always on hand when needed. The Trulli is one of four properties on the site which use the pool (though only one property is rented out of season giving sole access to the pool then). The Trulli does not have air conditioning and this was fine for us with mosquito-netted-windows left open.

Trulli La Reginatta was a beautifully furnished traditional stone Trulli. Very well appointed with tasteful furnishings and extremely homely and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need, so much so we actually ate in more than we ate out as the patio was so lovely candlelit at night and the produce in the towns so good. That said - dining at St Anna restaurant is a must in nearby Cisternino - quality of food stunning. Daniella recommended this to us for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Thanks also to Daniella and Daniel for the kind thought of a bottle of a bottle of bubbly to celebrate my birthday 👍. The swimming pool is large and set in amongst the olive grove overlooking the valley. There's also a large wood burning barbecue and table tennis table. The location is perfect to explore both coasts and we particularly liked the Ionian coast with crystal blue water and sandy beaches as well as great snorkelling as our Go Pro will attest! Pulsano is a great beach area. We loved exploring nearby towns of Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino and Locoratondo. All stunning white washed towns with intriguing side streets and great cafes to sit and watch the world go by. These towns really felt authentic and local so it was great to immerse in the local culture. The supermarket (Pam) in nearby Ceglie had everything you could need including great butchers counter. We also discovered an amazing Pizzeria 5 mins drive from the Trulli which is tucked away in a tiny village - but so popular with locals they were fully booked the first night we tried to get in but they also did take away. We did return to eat in (or outside under the stars!) and food was great. In same village there is also a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and bar for 7 Euros per person which is also worth visiting. In summary we would highly recommend a relaxing stay at Trulli La Reginatta. We arrived exhausted but our stay was so comfortable that we left with batteries fully re-charged. We could not have wished for more kind or attentive hosts in Daniella and Daniel who ensured our stay was a relaxing and enjoyable one. We loved the location, the beautiful characterful house and the local architecture and culture and the food is well worth experiencing. We are already missing those lazy morning coffee and panini brunches in Ceglie. We will be back! Chris, Lindsay and Charles, UK.
