To say this was a fantastic, magical trip really doesn't do it justice. Andrew and Gordon, our hosts- were impeccable, helpful, professional and friendly. North Berwick is a history lovers paradise. The trains are easy to use and 5 min away from the property. The 'manor' is huge, spotless, has everything you could possibly need to cook, chill, watch a flick, or just have a cup of tea and read. We will be back! 10 out of 10

Lovely property, in excellent conditions and with plenty of amenities. The location is close to the beach, golf course, shops and restaurants, all within a few minute’s walk. The rooms are spacious and the view out of the big bay window is endlessly changing. Edinburgh is also an easy train ride away, with the station close by. We stayed as a family of 5, and it worked well for us.

Great property
Just a short level walk to the centre of North Berwick. On the main road but no issue with road noise.
Bath has low sides with rails and a non slip service so ideal for younger children or older members of your party.
Car parking not the best (but we were warned before hand) but the seagulls took a great liking to my car for target practice.
Comfortable beds and everything you need was there.

We had a wonderful stay in front of the fire place, close to the beaches and to the high street cafes. We were four adults and a child. The appartement is clean, roomy, super comfortable beds, grand and spacious living room, well equiped kitchen, two bathrooms. Arriving by train from Edinburgh I was welcomed at the house, everything explained perfectly.
I can't praise our stay enough, The entire booking process plus leaving our luggage at the property after the check-out time – everything was perfect.

Heaven
North Berwick is my favorite place in the world and this house only makes it better. It’s beautiful inside and out and filled with thoughtful touches. I stayed for a month and spent mornings writing, facing one of the front windows to look out at the sea. Afternoons were for exploring Edinburgh (25 minutes by train—5 min walk to the station) or for roaming around North Berwick. A fun High Street, some great galleries and shops (I bought 3 cute linen dresses!) and restaurants. Now I’m in Belfast, and when I look out my hotel window, all I can see is the view from the living room of the Marine Lodge.
Andrew was a total pleasure to work with and made the whole thing really easy. I can’t wait to come back!

A Wonderful Week in North Berwick
We were a party of 4 adults age 50+. From the moment we made the booking until the day we left, everything went like clockwork. The owner was in regular contact with useful local information and advice between the time we booked until our arrival.
The property didn't disappoint, either. The rooms are all spacious with high ceilings, the beds are very comfortable (very important to us), the wet room was lovely, and the kitchen facilities were all modern and what you would need for a week away. There were TV's in 4 of the rooms, but we chose to have a break from watching TV while we were there.
The property location is excellent - just five minutes walk to the beach, the golf course, the shops, the nearest restaurant, and the nearest pub. It was also only 8-10 minutes walk to the railway station. Very well located, indeed.
We enjoyed some nice day trips in the car, going south to Berwick-upon-Tweed, and then onward to Bamburgh where we enjoyed the beach and the castle.
We also did a day trip into Edinburgh on the train which was really easy. The trains were prompt and pleasantly clean and tidy.
Overall, a most enjoyable week in North Berwick for the four of us. We would definitely recommend the property, as well as the area.
We'll probably be back next year.

The property was very clean and of high quality.
very spacious high quality accommodation. THE HOST Andrew and his team were very welcoming and ensured our stay was very comfortable. They even provided a few essentials which was a very nice touch. Answering all questions very efficiently. Would definitely visit again. Location was perfect and a sea view . North Berwick is definitely worth a visit we came with 3 children 13, 7, and 6 and the children were able to play on the beach everyday . Location of the property is perfect.

Golfers paradise
Staying at Marine lodge was the best choice in our minds.
From the time we booked it, Andrew was always on hand to answer questions and provide tips on the local area.
Upon arrival we were given a warm and very happy welcome by Gordon, he was also happy to answer any questions we had whilst staying.
The complimentary decanter of Scottish water went down a treat on the first evening :)
The apartment itself is of a very high standard of finish and fully equipped throughout. We loved the fridge!
All the rooms are of large proportions which gave the four of us plenty of room to relax.
Our golfing gear does take up room but the porch alone swallowed our clubs with space to spare :)
North Berwick itself provided us with a good selection of eateries from fine dining to food pub food and also a well serviced town when it comes to supermarkets.
Suffice to say that Marine lodge should be your choice as it will be ours the next time we visit North Berwick.

Great Location - 5 star apartment
Marine Lodge is truly fabulous. This was our first visit and nothing disappointed. The apartment is furnished and decorated to a high standard and has so many nice touches. It’s the perfect base for exploring NB. You are within walking distance for everything. Close by are all the shops and restaurants on the high street and you are minutes away from the beach. The massive lounge and front bedroom both have sea views to enjoy. The wood burning stove was great as we visited in January when the weather was really chilly. Andrew and Gordon were superb from start to finish to ensure everything went smoothly. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for five star accommodation in the heart of NB! We hope to return soon.

5 star accomodation in our favourite place!
Marine Lodge is a fabulous, spacious apartment which is definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. The owner continually improves and adds to it over the year and it’s so well looked after. This will be our 4th visit over New Year and we have already booked again for 2019. It is so homely with the grand lounge which looks on to the Main Street in North Berwick. Very comfortable couches and a beautiful fireplace with lots of wood to burn, so cosy! There are 2 generous bedrooms with everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped and is super for entertaining. We even sit in the back porch some evenings, which is rather cold in the winter but such a lovely space looking out in to the garden. We would love to visit in the summer! Thanks for sharing this lovely family home.

Great location, 5 star accommodation and great service from the host
Marine Lodge won't disappoint, within walking distance from the beach, lovely restaurants and plenty of galleries, shops and coffee stops along the high street, it makes a perfect base for a break in NB. Spacious rooms, an elegant lounge, modern bathrooms and well equipped kitchen, nothing is left to chance to ensure you have a comfortable and cosy stay, all with a touch of luxury. Andrew will go out of his way to make sure all the arrangements go smoothly and Gordon will meet you to show you around the property personally. Lovely fish restaurants, Italian, steakhouses and plenty more, we ran out of nights to try all out favourites!! Generous welcome pack on arrival was a lovely surprise too. Would love to return soon!

Superb holiday apartment.
Our fourth visit to Marine Lodge which was fabulous as always. We came with family this time and they too were impressed with the high standard of the apartment as well as all the little extra touches. Since our last visit , the kitchen has been tastefully updated and is bright and cheerful. Perfect accommodation with a toddler, with spacious rooms, enclosed garden and close proximity to the beach. Hope to return soon!

Wonderful reprieve
After almost two weeks of guided tours throughout Scotland, and staying at one hotel after another, it was a wonderful reprieve to be spending a week at the Marine Lodge. We had all the comforts of home! Perfect location for getting around the busy little town, but very quiet at night. A few little kicks we had in the beginning were promptly handled by the most genial Gordon. All the preparations were so easily handled by our host, Andrew and if we ever found ourselves with an opportunity to visit that part of the Country, this would be the place we would stay.

Amazing Apartment in the Biarritz of the North!
We have just returned from a great 3 night stay in Marine Lodge.
Welcomed on Friday night by Gordon who had switched the central heating on so the apartment was cosy for us. We were given all the information we needed and a lovely welcome food pack.
Superb hospitality.
The apartment is beautiful and very well appointed.
Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated reflecting the seaside and golfing town it is situated in.
Perfect location for exploring all North Berwick has to offer.
The booking process communication was excellent from Andrew and we would have no hesitation in booking again.
We hope to return again soon.
Many thanks and well done team Marine Lodge!
