Enjoy the perfect combination of privacy and easy beach access. Our home is located in a quiet culdesac just minutes from Tamarack Beach! Enjoy some early morning fishing at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon for Sea Bass and Halibut. Your Coffee will still be hot when you get there because its 300 feet away. Or walk another 4 minutes along the lagoon trail to play, surf or Boogie board two of the funnest breaks in all of San Diego at Famous Tamarack Beach.
Of course if your in the mood to just relax at home you'll enjoy sitting on the front porch reading a good book. Or sit by your own private heated tropical pool with 8' waterfall. Or truly relax in your private jetted spa nestled within in a wonderful rock feature grotto.
When your ready for lunch or dinner walk to Carlsbad's Vigilucci's Italian Resteraunt or drive along the coast one mile to the Village of Carlsbad for everything from Sushi to Great Mexican Food. This was perfect, the grounds are immaculate. The pool and huge hot tub couldn’t have been better. You could walk to the beach you could walk downtown.

Our family loved our stay at Janet's house in Carlsbad. The layout of the house and thoughtful amenities made it comfortable for all. The backyard pool and jacuzzi grotto were a big hit. All the little touches, from the beautiful tropical plants to the artwork, made for a special vacation.

We stayed at this home for our daughter's wedding weekend! It was perfect! We were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub and the grill and patio seating. Everything worked perfect for our family ages 3-60! Would love to stay again in the future!

Best part of vacay was the backyard pool. Lots of room for family & friends. Master bedroom very comfy & sooooo quiet, even though it was right off kitchen/ great room. The back bedrooms were fine, although they didn’t have access to closets to hang items. Lights in backyard went on & off at random times. Thanks for wonderful stay.

I had a group of nine friends who came down to Carlsbad to visit me. The great room/kitchen was perfect for the size of our group. There were plenty of beds for all. Beautiful outdoor gathering spot with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen. The pool/jacuzzi is perfect as well. This is an easy walk to the lagoon and beach. Carlsbad village is only one mile away. This is a great spot for all adults or a large family.

So happy to find this gem - the backyard with the pool, hot tub and other amenities was especially great. Well located for an easy walk to the beach, and close to all main attractions. We had a terrific stay and will stay again.

Great location walkable to beach and downtown Carlsbad. The outdoor space makes this property- lovely backyard, pool, and hot tub area. The bedrooms and bath need some attention. Bedrooms are not as they are written in description, for three adult couples the beds were not comfortable. The room represented as a queen and twin is not- it is just a twin with trundle and does not accurately turn into a queen. There is a couch futon sleeper but that is in the main front room, not a bedroom. This setup would be fine for teens and kids, but not for adult groups more than 2 couples.

The house was very nice with an exceptional, beautiful backyard pool, grotto, hot tub seating 10 with a lovely waterfall. Also nice seating with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. The primary suite and bath were lovely and the other 3 bedroom were small but served their purpose. Great workable kitchen and roomy living and dining area. Overall, our stay was wonderful and loved the location being so close to the beach. Amazing ocean view! The host was very accommodating and available if needed. I would stay there again.

Great house for a beach vacation! The pool and spa are exceptional and were in proper working order for our stay. We took advantage of beach walks and near by lagoon for water activities. The home is clean and comfortable. Good layout with multiple sleeping options. Kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking which we did each night. Nice, quiet neighborhood too. Great communication with Janet. She greeted us at the door upon our arrival and answered all our questions. Highly recommend this home.

We had one of our best family vacations because of this lovely home! The ocean themed colors and decor are perfect! The dining table and kitchen were large enough for all of us to cook and enjoy meals together! The backyard was a favorite with the unique spa and pool and seating for adults to sit and talk. We were able to have our own bedrooms. I needed to ask a question and the host went above and beyond when she provided a solution. This warm welcoming home is a must for any family looking for proximity to the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking and so quiet! We hope to come back and make more memories!

The backyard was a great place to hang out. The hot tub did not work right away every day, but the property manager was quick to respond to get it working again. Living room and kitchen were great to hang out. Great location to the beach and downtown Carlsbad. We would stay here again.

Janet was wonderful and made special accommodations for us to arrive early. She had fishing poles and boogie boards ready for some fun at the lagoon and beach! She taught us how to heat the hot tub and was extremely responsive! Can’t wait to make another trip!! Thanks, Janet!!!

The property is beautiful, so nicely landscaped and the pool and spa are an added bonus. Janet and Dave responded quickly to anything that came up (in our case, it related to the pool and spa). The bed in the primary bedroom is comfortable, though traveling family members were not as comfortable in the auxiliary rooms. Otherwise, perfect stay! We were sad to leave.

The house is in a perfect location tucked away on a dead end street just up from the beach. Backyard is like your own personal resort and perfect for family time! I loved the high end kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property if you are staying in the San Diego area!

The house and pool are gorgeous, the only issue we had was the hot tub temperature never got hot. Other than that it was a great stay, the house is very close to everything.

All pluses for this property, great location, lots of room and privacy. My only negative would be the jacuzzi. Not warm enough and only seemed to warm up in the evening. We tried to warm it in the morning and it wouldn’t. So we only enjoyed it at night. Still very nice though. We would stay again.

We were so pleased with our stay at this beautiful home in Carlsbad. The location was wonderful - we could see the ocean and sunsets from just outside the home and had a very short walk to get down to the beach for great walks along the ocean. We also enjoyed walking into Carlsbad Village (about a 15 minute walk) where there plenty of choices for excellent restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The outside area and pool was exactly as pictured - great for hanging out with our two sons who visited while we were there. The house was well stocked and the owner was super nice and easy to reach when needed. We definitely hope to return!

I will start with Janet. She was so gracious and responsive during our stay. Made sure everything went well and even sent someone to help us when our rental car wouldn’t start. Saved our trip! The house is great, quaint Carlsbad house with an amazing backyard. We walked to the beach with our kids a few times and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. House is fantastic and Janet will make sure your stay is as well!

House was amazing for 2 families! Everyone enjoyed location and especially the back yard. Pool, Hot Tub, grilling area and privacy was too fun. Owner was helpful with questions about the property and communication was perfect. I would come back again for sure!

We had a great time staying at the property. Our group of 8 had plenty of space to spread out and find a quiet space. Pool, hot tub and outdoor area were great additions and where we spent most of our time when there. Lots to do locally and this house is located central to all of it. Great location and home for our family. The pool, BBQ island and patio areas were the highlight. The cons: well stocked but unorganized kitchen and the trundle beds were the only uncomfortable sleeping accommodations.

This is a great house for extended families with kids. We stayed a week with our daughters and their families. Easy access to beach. Incredible pool area with lots of seating and BBQ. Very large kitchen allows for lots of cooks. Highly recommend this house.

We really enjoyed this property. Proximity to the beach was fantastic. We used the pool and spa every day. Pool was a little cold but the kids still enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable. We had a great time and would stay again!

This house is a dream! The pictures of the backyard are what sold me on it. The pool and spa are wonderful. Janet the owner let us check in a bit early and then she came over to show us how to run everything and she was always available by phone to help if needed. Only thing I would change is to have soap in the bathrooms (we used hand wash foam we found in the laundry room) and to have some closet space available for the guest bedrooms (all were locked up). There is also a neighborhood cat that was waiting for us every night for his treats that are on the front porch. We would come back to this lovely house in a minute!
