We had a lovely stay at this beautiful property. Perfect for me, my husband and our 13 year old son and very well situated to explore the local area and the beautiful Rutland Waters.
As mentioned in other reviews, everything in the cottage is of a very high standard and comes with a fully equipped kitchen - including washer/dryer and dishwasher.
You do need to be a bit careful if you’re taller when in the bedroom, due to the sloping ceiling, but since I’m only 5ft3” it wasn’t much of an issue for me! 😃
I met Alison and Kenneth during our visit and they were very nice and we had a lovely chat!
Really appreciated the little welcome pack that we received on our arrival (rolls, jam and eggs) - very nice touch!
Would definitely recommend this property if you’re coming over to Rutland for a stay. You won’t be disappointed!

What a beautiful and well presented little place.
Everything in this space is finished off so well.
Clean, tidy, and stacks of information on the local area available.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were a lovely and very helpful.
Easy short walk to Rutland water which is a hive of outdoor activity while still a very relaxing place.
Thank you !!!

A beautiful and very comfortable property that is superbly positioned for visiting Rutland Water, Stamford and Oakham.
The owners have gone out of their way to make our stay enjoyable through good communications, a welcoming pack of groceries and drink and an excellent information pack about the area all of which were greatly appreciated.
I would thoroughly recommend staying here to visit all that this area has to offer.

An amazing property with a wonderful location close to Rutland Water. Every inch of space is put to good use. Beautifully decorated throughout and everything you may need is provided and all of a good quality.
It is small, particularly upstairs, but I’m 5 foot so not an issue for me! The additional downstairs shower room is a bonus. The under floor heating was very efficient.
Thank you Alison (who popped by to check everything was ok), a great stay.

Very last minute booking on our behalf but Alison was prompt with a reply and was able to accommodate us with less than 24 hours notice so that we could get away for the weekend.
Very well designed and immaculate accommodation that was more than comfortable for 2 adults and both a 9 and 13 year old.
Open plan compact design of kitchen, diner and couch area with bi-folds doors to enjoy the open space.
2 bathrooms was a bonus and well equipped for what we needed for our short break.
Well located for a short drive to Rutland water and the footpath beside the accommodation allowed us to enjoy approx. 15 minute walk across the fields to the reservoir which was bonus.
Great cooked breakfast at the Harbor Café and walking distance to the White Horse pub was a great find for dinner - the pizzas were amazing.
Bike hire easy from Rutland Cycles (although perhaps a little steep at £101 for 4 bikes - that needed maintenance) and the boat ride across the reservoir was enjoyable too.
10 minute drive into Stamford is great for shopping and food outlets and 45 minute drive to Leicester was a bonus to enjoy the National Space Centre on our last day.
Would definitely return and recommend for all, great little find.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Pibbles Nook. Alison was doing some gardening when we arrived and gave us a very warm welcome. It is clear from the cottage and the surrounding gardens that Alison and her husband take great pride in what they do. The cottage was beautiful; spotlessly clean and very well equipped with good quality furniture and fittings. I would certainly recommend the property to others and stay there again myself if I get the chance. Very well situated for Rutland water and other attractions.

What a find! A wonderful peaceful setting which is a short walk from Rutland water.
The cottage is stylishly furnished with quality furnishings, beautiful cotton bedding and fresh flowers from the hosts' garden.
A second armchair would have been nice but there are plenty of wooden chairs for sitting at the dining table and a couple more at the breakfast island.
Alison and Kenneth gave us a warm welcome and said that should we need anything that we should just let them know.
We stayed for a long weekend but all said that we wished we could have had a few more days.

Really quiet situation in owners’ grounds with easy access to Rutland Water on foot or bike. Small but beautiful with comfort, excellent equipment and facilities obviously considered in detail by the owners. A welcome package of bread, fruit and eggs was provided on arrival and with addition of flowers, which was much appreciated. Thank you to Alison and Ken for sharing their lovely property and helping our stay be a memorable one.

Good weekend break
Stayed as a family of 4. Cosy. Very well appointed but those over 6ft may find the upstairs short on headroom thanks to the eaves! Spotlessly clean with some stylish features. Overall v comfortable and warm. Disappointed the advertised welcome pack wasn’t provided due to Covid but owners were quick to respond when queried.

Luxury short break
The property was well kitted out and provided us with a luxurious break as we explored the local villages and towns over the autumn break. The hosts were both friendly and made sure we settled in okay. There was a local Bridal path right along side the house and plenty of things to do around Rutland.

Lovely property for a weekend in Rutland
Stayed at Pibbles Nook for a weekend fishing on Rutland Water with an old friend. The cottage was perfect for us: very modern and clean, great kitchen facilities, modern bathrooms, comfy beds, easy parking, very friendly owners next door and a pub 200 yards up the road. An additional armchair in the lounge would be my only suggestion for improvement, otherwise perfect! It was great value for money too.

Great property
A small but perfectly formed property and great for myself and my step father. A well designed conversion with good quality fixtures and fittings. The two shower rooms were important for us and were spotless with plenty of hot water and good sized towels.
The property is in a good spot for exploring Rutland and the surrounding area. There are walks nearby but also a short drive to the water and the surrounding towns with access to a number of places to visit.
Alison was very welcoming and helpful and all the essentials for your stay are provided, you don’t need to worry about washing up liquid and bin bags ! The fresh flowers in the vase were a lovely bonus. Thank you Alison.
