We stayed for one week at the end of July. The property was well equipped and felt very luxurious. The views were incredible, the pool was perfection under the Spanish sun. The area of Sa Riera was a great low key holiday destination perfect for relaxation. We definitely needed a car and the steps to town were a challenge in the heat of the day, but so worth it! The listing looked good, but the house was even better when we got there. Lots of space for a big group. We made good use of the barbecue by night. Would thoroughly recommend this house for a group of family and friends seeking relaxation and a touch of luxury.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was well equipped, spacious, clean and in many ways reflected the description very good.

We had a lovely stay in Sa Riera. The house was perfect, great location and very nice terrace with view on the opposite hill.

A lovely home, perfectly suited to a family holiday. The living area with the deck and the pool was so amazing with plenty shade to offset the “heatwave”. Our second time in Sa Riera and won’t be the last.

The house and location were perfect for us, a group of seven. The open plan kitchen and living area was light and airy, fully equipped with everything we needed. Time at the house was largely spent in the pool and on the terrace. Great array of seating options and the outdoor dining table was ideal for al fresco eating. The upper terrace was also a great spot for more secluded sitting out. The stroll to the beach was easy, while up to Begur also worked well. Plenty of beautiful towns and beaches to visit, plus other inland options. Sarah provided some excellent recommendations of places to eat; we particularly enjoyed Pals and Peratallada. All in all, a great holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday in Sa Riera. The villa was excellent and Sarah the owner and Mrs Caner were both extremely helpful. The location is excellent, being within walking distance of the beautiful beach. The steps on the way back up were a bit of a work out on a hot day but helped us balance out all the lovely food we ate!
The pool was a big hit, particularly the diving board.
The villa is very well equipped, everything we needed, it was really helpful to have the beach/ pool towels included.
All in all a great family holiday. Thank you very much!

The villa is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from Sa Rivera beach and the lovely beachfront cafes / restaurants and a 5 minute drive to Begur. The villa was clean and well maintained, the kitchen had everything we needed (the welcome pack was great) and the pool area was superb with plenty of chairs / sun beds. The elevated position of the villa provided great views and we enjoyed eating on the balcony.

We have just returned from 2 weeks staying at this villa. It was absolutely lovely; spacious with everything you need. Pool was perfect and a good size. Ideal for 2 families as 2 rooms have 3 single beds. View from accommodation also good. 10 minute walk to Sa Reira where there is a lovely beach and bars .thank you

We had a great stay in Sa Riera. The house is well equipped and well maintained. The pool and terrace area are ideal. You can walk down to the Sa Riera beach (10-15 minutes each way). If that's too busy then the wide open Platja del Racó is a very short drive away. Begur is also a short drive away for good shopping. Sarah was very helpful preparing ou visit and the welcome and cleaning service were also very efficient. We'd highly recommend staying here.

From start to end the communication and help from Sarah was fantastic.
The property itself was lovely with beautiful views over the valley. It was perfectly equipped - a real home from home.
We stayed with two young children and grandparents and the set up of the house was ideal for this with upstairs space for grandparents to hide if they needed a break.
The area was stunning with lovely coastal walks and numerous gorgeous beaches and towns - Pals and Lla Franc were two of our favourites.
Having many steps the property and area wouldn’t be ideal for anyone with limited mobility but for others it’s a good way to stay fit!
Thank you Sarah and family for sharing your beautiful home with us!

the house has all the commodities needed; a good outside and pool (as needed in these days of July)
We had a great holiday, supermarkets nearby. these are camping supermarkets so not the best quality...but there is a big supermarket in Parafrugell. It is a lovely spot to go around for beautiful beaches and snorkling.
Be aware with the car the last meters up and backwards to the villa.
A little note to the owners/agency: take care of the ants.

We were two families spending one week in the fantasic villa Casa de Reyes. The contact with Sarah was very good and we got lots of information on the villa and surrounding area before our arrival. Immediately after arriving we felt like "at home" and we really loved the villa, the pool and the beautiful views. The area is very nice with lots of beautiful beaches, small town and villages, restaurants. Most of all we really liked to hang around the pool and to take morningwalks down to the beach, buy bread in the bakery and climb the steps up again. Sa Riera beach and village with restaurans is very nice, calm and relaxing. Thanks Sarah and Steve for letting us stay in your beautifil villa!

We were a family party of 8 adults - grandparents (early 70s), parents (early 50s), two grandsons each with a girlfriend (early 20s). The spacious villa accommodated us very comfortably with ample furniture both inside and on the pool and dining terrace outside.
Casa de Reyes is a superb villa presented to a very high quality, very clean, not the least bit dated, and extremely well equipped. The layout is very good, with all the living area on one floor (large open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, plus utility room and separate WC, inside; and spacious dining area (shaded) and pool terrace outside. In addition to the two en-suite double bedrooms there is a further separate WC and separate large walk-in shower on the bedroom corridor. After arrival, we instantly felt comfortable, relaxed and "at home".
We were welcomed on arrival by the owner's charming local "agent" and were provided with a really comprehensive "starter pack" of essentials. A copious number of pool towels were also waiting for us.
The location of the villa is very convenient for going down to Sa Riera beachfront (several restaurants and tapas bars). It's 5 minutes by car, though parking down there can sometimes be tricky, and 5-10 minutes walk down a lot of steps. Coming back will take longer (!), but it keeps you fit, and is part of the charm of Sa Riera; all holiday villas being up the sides of the wooded valley leading down to the sea. It's a 5 minute drive up to Begur, the splendid little Spanish town at the head of the valley, with a buzzy central plaza, shops, and many more bars and restaurants. The whole area is characterful, caters for tourists, but is not the least bit "tacky", unlike some other areas of the Costa Brava. And there are several other beach villages and small towns within a maximum 20-30 minutes drive, all with a similar unspoilt, classy Spanish atmosphere.
There are several quality supermarkets within a few minutes drive of the villa.
We spent most of our time at the villa relaxing by the pool, and eating, drinking, and playing silly games - classic villa holiday life, in fact, in a villa admirably suited to this.
Thus, yes, we would recommend this villa to any and all of our friends and relatives; and it works perfectly well for families with younger kids - (although perhaps those with toddlers would need to be wary of the steps and the pool).
So thank you to Mr & Mrs King, for enabling us to have a great holiday in the House of the Kings!

This is a lovely and spacious villa with all mod cons and a layout that meant that we as grandparents could retreat to the upstairs bedroom and large balcony when respite was required! The large pool was great for adults and children alike and the open plan feel to the living and pool area made life easy and also meant good use of the BBQ. Sa Riera has a great beach and a good selection of restaurants with some varied offers - I think that we tried them all during our stay! We also loved the coastal walks and the access to Begur and even grew to love the steps down and up from the beach!! This whole area is one that offers stunning coastline and access to lots of lovely seaside towns and beaches and we returned to the area after our first visit last year because of this.
Everyone associated with the villa provided us with excellent and friendly service, from Sarah the owner to Ms Canner who lives locally and looks after it day to day; and even the man who cleaned the pool and looked after the garden! This meant that any problems that arose, however minor, were dealt with immediately and this is such a bonus when staying for two weeks as we did. Thanks Sarah and company for a great holiday.

The villa is even better than it appears in the photographs. It was impeccably clean and very well equipped. The owners could not have been more helpful and efficient. We had a lovely week - swimming, riding, bungee jumping and a trip on a boat. The area offers so much and has some beautiful towns and villages - Begur, Pals and Peratellada (spelling?). We would highly recommend the villa and would very happily return there.

The villa was fully equipped, beautifully clean and spacious in a quiet but stunning location with a fabulous pool. There are a number of gorgeous sandy beaches with the closest only 10 minutes walk down the hill, slightly longer on the way back! There are some coastal paths for scenic walks.A hire car is a must just for ease getting about and with super quiet roads the 45 minute journey from the airport is a breeze.Begur has some lovely shops, nice restaurants and a great Cuban cocktail bar open late. The taxi company was helpful and spoke great English. We drove to Barcelona for the day, be mindful of the tolls. It took about 2 hours to get there but it's a fantastic city and if you can get an overnight stay you'll see much more! There was all day parking for €10 which is a bargain.Fabulous place and can't recommend it highly enough and would be back there in a shot!

We have spent holidays in several villas in this part of the Costa Brava, but Sarah's villa was the pick of the bunch. The villa itself is really spacious, we were on holiday with 4 teenagers and there was plenty of space for everyone to socialise, and for us to escape to the lovely private terrace off the bedroom on the top floor. The villa is perfectly positioned for the lovely beach and restaurants at Sa Riera, in fact we hardly used our car apart from shopping trips. It's a short and very pretty walk around to the long sandy beach at Pals, where there are more restaurants and a golf course. We were lucky enough to be there for the "Fira D'Indians" festival, which involved a lot of dancing and mojitos in the streets of Begur. Overall a memorable holiday and we would love to return one day!

Villa was far better than our expectations. Spacious, perfectly clean and very well equipped. Plenty of space for family with 4 kids including teenagers and grandma. The top floor was just great for a bit of privacy for parents with a gorgeous view of Begur castle from the terrace a night. A real bonus to be able to walk to the beach and places to eat at Sa Riera. Steps are not suitable for everyone but do-able even for Grandma after a couple of brandys after dinner! Maria who looked after the house was really helpful. Hope to be back.
