Niece's Wedding
I traveled with my wife and 4 adult children with spouses/significant others for my niece's wedding in Ballycastle/Portrush. This house was perfect for our stay. With 5 BR and three showers there was plenty of space and ease with a large group getting ready for the wedding. This is a beautiful and spacious home. The property was convenient (walkable) to the center of town (Ballycastle) for shopping, dining, walks to the beach, etc. I would highly recommend this home for large groups visiting Ballycastle.

This house had plenty of room for the 6 travelers and was very well equipped. It has a nice kitchen, 3 bathrooms and the 4 bedroom setup worked perfectly for 2 couples and 2 others traveling single. There's a washer available but no dryer, washer takes a while too so don't plan on a quick load. The town is great, the food recommendations in the literature at the house were spot on. The area has a lot to see and do. We'd definitely stay there again, highly recommended location. About the only item that's a bit inconvenient is having to supply bath towels yourself, but that was well communicated up front. Other things that could be improved would be to get rid of the baby gate at the top of the stairs for most guests and to have some non-slip mats in the bathrooms. An elderly person in our party slipped getting out of the shower and broke 2 bones, but the setup was fine for the rest of us. The floors are tile so can be slick when wet. The front door usage probably needs some further explanation for us foreigners, never seen a door lock by pulling up on the handle, but just something to tell folks vs them figuring it out eventually.

This was a perfect house for our group of 8 adults. The living room and dining table were large enough for all of us to relax and to eat together. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The house is in a quiet neighborhood on a hill with a lovely view. We had an exceptional dinner in Ballycastle at the Cellar Restaurant. We spent the next day sightseeing at the Giant's Causeway, the Bushmills Distillery (check tour times before you go), the Dunluce Castle, and the Mussenden Temple (and other sites on that property). It was a perfect day! **The only improvement I would make to this rental would be to provide towels for everyone.

Beautiful home, comfortably appointed!
This was our first trip to Northern Ireland. The location of this home gives you beautiful views of the hills and the Atlantic. It was a wee bit farther from the best part of the town of Ballycastle, but this is minor and would not prevent us from staying there, again! Loved exploring the area, a close drive to the Giant’s Causeway & Fair Head. Both are a pretty good walk, so be prepared! We loved O’Connor’s pub, the food was good and the wait staff friendly. The same can be said for the Diamond Bar Restaurant. Don’t miss visiting Glenariff Forest Park and the beautiful Glens with their waterfalls!
It is a beautiful area and the house was perfect & easily accommodated our party of 6 adults & 2 children. We would love to be able to return!

Magnificent house with plenty of room for us all.
The house was in a very quiet neighbourhood about 8 minutes walk down to the sea front at Ballycastle.
It was a good base to explore the surrounding area- we visited all the local points of interest except the rope bridge, which didn't seem worth the £8 per head for 8 of us a 2 minute experience.
In contrast, my visit to Rathlin Island for £12 return on the ferry was a fabulous day out walking amongst some beautiful scenery, though make sure you book both outward and return journeys in advance as the afternoon returns soon fill to capacity.
The Giants Causwaywas stunning, but very popular on the day we attended. Some of the path was blocked off which was a little disappointing, but never the less, a great visit.
Tried walking out to Fair Head from Ballycastle along the shore road and path. Sadly, the path petered out before it got below Fair Head. I had to fight my way on a very overgrown path.
Visited Fair Head one evening by road. Parked in the farm car park and paid £3 into the honestybox there. A walk of about 1.5km to the cliff across some white, recently lime covered fields where there were some fantastic views. - Returned to the car with white covered trainers. The farmers wife gave us some helpful information on where to go to get the best views.
Not interested in the Game of Thrones, but Ballintoy was very charming with a lovely walk around to Whitesands bay at low tide.
A wonderful week.

A wonderful vacation property!
Ronan,
Thank you so much for the rental of your lovely home.
The house is stunning, on a wonderful, quiet street. It was big enough for 6 adults to spread out and relax. The views are breathtaking and we spent more than one late afternoon basking in the sunroom with a glass of wine, enjoying the view of the rolling hills and listening to the baa’s of the lambs!
Having to bring along on an international trip, or buy bath towels there, isn’t super convenient- but we left ours behind, so hopefully it helps stock the linen cupboard! Otherwise the home is well prepped in every way.
We had a great visit to the always lovely Ballycastle area and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

We had a lovely time in this home. Ballycastle had a lot to offer.
We enjoyed the local food and great restaurants We were able to see much of the coast driving up and down the coastal highway. The locals were very friendly. We would easily go back and stay there again. Thank you Ronan!

Spacious and very family friendly in beautiful condition.
We had a fantastic time and would really recommend this property to anyone looking for a good size house in a lovely location.
We used a local taxi company who were absolutely amazing and looked after us throughout our stay.
The only thing that would have been handy is some egg cups.
Overall a lovely location and a beautiful house
Thank you

Fantastic House in a great location
We stayed here for one week as a family of 6 adults and 3 young children and there was more than enough space. The property is well located, fairly new and vary spacious. The owner was very helpful with queries in advance. The local area is beautiful and we had a lovely time. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful family in Ballycastle
We stayed in this lovely property for a week at the end of May We were a large family group with age range from 75 yrs to 2 yrs and we all loved staying here .The house is extremely spacious well maintained and spotlessly clean. It also has lots of garden space where the younger folk enjoyed running around Everything you could possibly require for an enjoyable stay is provided. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any queries.A pleasant 15 minute stroll will take you into Ballycastle where the family enjoyed shopping Maud's ice cream and taking the Ferry to Rathlin Island for a wonderful day trip . This house is ideally situated to explore the many tourist attractions in this beautiful area This is our 3 rd year to spend our family week in this property and we all look forward to our next visit and we would highly recommend this house to other families.

Medium
The house is definitely large with some nice views. When we arrived the house was very, very cold and the owners had advance notice of our arrival . It took several hours for the house to heat up. The house also lacked some important essentials such as a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and towels and face towels for guests. When I asked about the lack of towels I was told someone would drop by with towels . This person never arrived, and then I was advised they do not supply towels. We travelled here from Canada and found the other vrbo homes much warmer and welcoming .
This aside the location of the home was good .

Great property in a lovely location
Clean, spacious well maintained property. The family (three generations) found it easy to spread out in and settle into. Though little time was spent in the house the large kitchen and utility were well used and much appreciated. The 'boost' facility on the central heating/hot water was welcome.
It's a five minute walk from the beach and the immediate access to the forest was enjoyed by the grandchildren. Ballycastle, the harbour and beach were great entertainment (good ice cream) and the fresh sea air should be put on prescription!
No problems recommending it and certainly no problems returning.

Very happy with the house and the area.
Great views in a great area. Walking distance to the beach area & shopping, but uphill on the return. The weather whilst we were there for 2 wks was pretty inconsistent, with some rain occurring most days, - which created a problem with getting our washing dry. For a house that holds that many people, the washing machine is too small & the dryer on it did not work. I would recommend the owner put in a separate dryer machine. The dishwasher did break down on the 2nd day, & the owner did his best to have this fixed & then replaced it with a new one. We did string a line outside to assist with clothes drying, but this was still difficult due to the weather. The conservatory became our drying room.
These minor problems did not mar our enjoyment with our vacation venue. The roominess of the house accommodated the 10 of us very well. Bathrooms were great with really good water pressure for the showers.
Location is close to many must see sights & we had a great time. My daughter in law even had her first swim in the sea, - reported as very invigorating.

A fantastic holiday home in beautiful Ballycastle
A really comfortable and well equipped house a short walk from Ballycastle. We were a large group of extended family and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had a wonderful week and I would definitely recommend this house.
Ballycastle is a great place to base yourself to explore the north coast. It is a lovely unspoilt town with a real sense of character great shops, bars and restaurants.

Clean, modern, very well equipped and comfortable
We had a great time in the house there were 10 of us and the house still felt like it had plenty of room. It is a great base for exploring the area from the Glens right round to Portrush and we even went on a trip to Rathlin Island for the day, definitely a must. Ballycastle is an easy walk from the house with a good kids playground at the sea front.
On one occasion we needed to speak to the owner and he was easily reachable. It's a great place I definitely recommend it.

This house was exactly what we expected! We had an extended holiday in the North and this was a great home base! The house is very well appointed and we truly felt at “home”.
We were an extended family from Canada and had lots of room in the house. The house is well kept and very comfortable. The view and location are awesome. You can find everything you need in Ballycastle. The owner is very attentive and very quick to respond to any questions or inquires.
We had a gathering of the family clan and this house was perfect for that occasion it had lots of room in the house and yard and our guests had no issue parking.
I would recommend this home and would certainly return if we get another opportunity to visit!

Stayed for a five day break in June 2011when attending a wedding.
The property lives up to its description - "Stunning new home in exquisite location" - although we didn't try to land a helicopter, and is in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
Highly recommended.

Just back from a girls reunion here at the end of February and could not have picked a better house or location. There were 11 of us from all over the UK and it was the perfect spot. The house is just gorgeous, has a great open plan layout and is really well equipped –we sat in one night and had everything we needed to cook a 3 course meal. It was so comfortable and relaxing that we spent a long afternoon and evening watching the rugby and simply lying about chatting. In fact, 2 of the girls who live in Belfast went up early to get everything set up and when they opened the door to greet us it was literally like walking into someone’s house, so at home did we feel. A special mention must go to the 3 bathrooms (godsend for 11 girls!) and the American style fridge complete with ice machine for those afternoon G&Ts!
We were 10 minutes walk from the seafront and the gorgeous beach. Ballycastle is a lovely spot that is really busy in summer. It is quieter during the winter months, however there is nothing better than walking along an unspoiled beach and we also had a great night in O’Connor’s pub in the town (again only 15 minutes walk from the house). We had gone to the Central bar to watch a Rugby match and it was absolutely packed so we went across the road to O’Connor’s and managed to get a wee spot in the corner where we were well looked after by the barman. Ballycastle is also a perfect base for exploring the North Coast.
I couldn’t recommend both the house and the location enough for a big group or family getaway. All the girls commented on what a find it was–so much so that we are planning an annual trip.
Ronan was very helpful from start to finish (and very patient with our constant questions!). Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely home –we’ll be back!

We rented this property over Christmas 2007. The owner was very helpful and responsive during the booking process. It is a very lovely house with plenty of room for the 10 of us, as its description promised. All facilities were of a very high standard and the kitchen has most of the equipment needed - we managed to cook a huge Christmas dinner with no problems at all. It was very clean and well maintained. During a really cold couple of days extra bedding was brought round by the housekeeper without being prompted because she was worried we might be cold - a really nice touch. We had pre-ordered a turkey and christmas tree from shops in the village and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The beach is lovely, just a short walk away, pubs are good. Belfast is an hour drive away with good shopping and theatre etc. I would recommend this house for a really comfortable stay, friendly locals and beautiful scenery.
