About this apartment rental
Self contained and private, this cute flat on the end of our home is freshly renovated and decorated with personality and has amazing views from both inside and out. New queen bed and luxury bedding and new bathroom. Well set up for self-catering and lots of little extras provided. Own private bbq and outdoor seating area with stunning mountain and rural views. Perfect rural location to relax summer or winter with Lake Hayes for swimmiing and walking and Coronet Peak less than 10 minutes drive away for skiing and snowboarding. Less than a 5 minute drive to historic Arrowtown with over 20 bars, restaurants, cafes and great shopping and walking distance to Millbrook Resort, Mora Cafe and Ayrburn hospitality precinct. The gold mining historical walk up the Arrow River is a must-do and free! We can provide gold pans if you want to try your luck. Numerous wineries offering Central Otago's world famous Pinot Noir and other wines all within easy driving distances. We are happy to help you with your itinerary or make recommendations for activities during your stay. Breakfast basket available on request.

Orchard Cottage had everything we needed for a stress free getaway in a quiet corner of Arrowtown. Jane and Roger were welcoming and informative hosts, ensuring our every comfort was catered to. We loved all the personal touches in the cottage making us feel completely at home. Jane's baking was delish!!! Thank you for sharing your magical corner of the world where the Tuis entertain. We hope to return soon.

A real find!! This property is perfect for a short or long stay. Well equipped, comfortable and with all sorts of little extras. Jane was a wonderful host and full of suggestions for activities and places to eat/drink. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope we will be back for another visit.

A lovely cosy cottage with lots of homey touches - lovely and warm in very cold temperatures. Jane is a very attentive host with some delightful treats throughout our stay! You will need a vehicle as it is out of town a bit - which is actually part of the charm!

My husband and I spent a week here, working remotely and vacationing. We walked to the lake and swam most days and walked to arrowtown for lunch. Jane and Roger were like friends welcoming us into their home! Highly recommend!

Great location and great place to stay. Right beside the bike tracks and so close to Arrowtown. Very helpful, friendly hosts. Lovely touches to make your stay enjoyable even some home baking! Highly recommend staying here.

A perfect package
Peace, tranquility, in a beautiful garden. Our one bedroom unit was perfect for our three night stay. Decor and comfort were outstanding and we were provided with some very special unexpected treats and the most delicious home made muffins. Jane is so welcoming and friendly. To top it all off the location is great for exploring the region. We loved our stay.

Absolutely lovely place, well exceeded my expectations
Jane and Roger are really lovely people and fab hosts, really enjoyed my stay with them and will stay with them next time Im back in the area.
If you are extra nice to Jane she might make you some of her world famous baking :)

Very clean, comfortable and quiet retreat - hosts were extremely helpful and lots of nice welcoming touches including delicious homemade cakes. Spacious for two people and a lovely view of the mountains.

Lovely Lake Hayes Bungalow
Jane's self contained unit is a gem and an oasis for weary travelers. Not only is it surrounded by beautiful gardens and a private space, but the bathroom was just remodeled! There is so much to recommend the way Jane has used the space and even though there isnt a proper kitchen there are many appliances covering a variety of cooking methods. Jane was very responsive and proactive about our stay and supplied us with some lovely food items to get us started. We hated to leave!

A cosy, beautifully presented, compact cottage adjoining the owner's home. Set within an immaculately maintained English style garden with mountain views.
It is very apparent that the owners strive to go that extra mile to provide their guests with the wonderful experience that is a stay at Orchard Cottage.
The warm welcome that we received from Jane, and the special treats that we found scattered about, were very much appreciated. The specially baked little heart shaped cakes, and the bubbly in celebration of our wedding anniversary were indicative of that extra mile.

The location was beautiful and very peaceful
The location was beautiful and very peaceful. It proved to be a real sanctuary in what is a busy period around Christmas in Central Otago. The unit was extremely well presented and very tastefully decorated. There was not one thing that I looked for that wasn't provided. My husband and I both commented on how comfortable the bed was. We loved the whole vibe of the place and will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.
