Enjoying an elevated south-facing position, Villa Las Mimosas a spacious and beautifully appointed property boasting exceedingly impressive views across the wooded hillsides to the sea at Palamós Bay, which is just a short drive away, and conveniently is situated a short stroll from the medieval village of Calonge and its supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Recently built to very high standards with free WiFi and satellite television, this very comfortable home has been decorated and furnished with pride and excellent taste by caring owners. The Villa enjoys air conditioning throughout. The interior is bright and airy with quality, modern fitments and a most welcoming colour scheme of russet and gold. Spectacular views can be enjoyed from the terraces and most rooms, in particular from the dining room where panoramic windows showcase the vista to notable effect. Outside, terraced gardens spread over several levels linked by steps and pathways meandering between the colourful shrubbery down to the private 10m x 5m swimming pool on the lower level.
Villa Las Mimosas is set in its own private gardens of approximately 1/2 acre at the top of a prestigious development of individually designed detached villas. It is located 10 minutes walking distance from the historical village of Calonge with its weekly market, restaurants and bars, small supermarkets and shops. Villa Las Mimosas is equipped to the highest standards and is furnished in a luxurious and modern style with open plan living areas, two spacious bathrooms, three luxurious bedrooms and cool terracotta tile floors throughout. It has full central heating and double glazing and fans in every room and so is suitable for all year round occupancy in comfort. The bedrooms and living area also enjoy full air conditioning. The main rooms open on to terraces that overlook the pool, the gardens and the stunning vista of the sea and mountains. Villa Las Mimosas provides the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The area provides a wealth of things to see and do; both by car, public transport and on foot. Local towns and villages are all full of character and interest. Nearby Calonge, Palamos and Platja D’Aro are well worth a walk. The fishing town of Palamos is where many local fishermen deliver their catch. It provides an array of stunning restaurants that serve mouthwatering fresh sea food as their speciality. Slightly further a field are towns such as Palafrugell, Begur, Pals, La Bisbal and St Feliu. There are many coves and bays that can be reached on foot and in some cases by car that offer spectacular views and scenery. For a day out Figueres (home of Salvador Dali) and Vic are worth visiting, not to mention Girona itself and of course Barcelona. Remember to allow time for visiting before everything closes for lunch/siesta at 1pm. (Normally re-opens at 4pm but can vary). The local town of Palamos is where you can get buses to many of these places if you don't want to drive.

The house was really comfortable and well equipped, very clean on arrival and nicely decorated and furnished. The garden was beautiful and the pool was amazing - super clean and well maintained. We didn't know much about the area before we arrived, but loved Palamos, lots of fabulous restaurants and the fresh fish market meant for the most delicious BBQs. We had a very minor maintenance issue and the agent was very responsive and resolved it immediately. A great stay would highly recommend.

We had a lovely two weeks in this beautiful villa. The outdoor space is fantastic. Beautiful views overlooking the coast, and a number of different places to take it easy eat drink and relax. Nice big pool.
The villa itself was immaculate - and everything was in good working order.
The agents were very helpful. An ethusiastic recommendation.

Excellent villa with fabulous pool, views and beautiful garden. We enjoyed the different outdoor seating areas. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We didn’t attempt the walk into Calonge because the hill back up to the villa was a bit daunting in the heat but it was easy to drive and park. Lots to see and do in the area and we found some superb beaches.

This villa is well positioned and immaculate inside and out. It has everything you could need for a holiday. The aircon is excellent as is the large pool. The villa has great views towards the sea. I don't doubt its a 15 minute walk to the local village however it is a steep hill and parts of the route are on a busy road with no footpath. The local village is a short drive with plenty of parking so that was the option we chose.

The object is like described. Beautiful View and a great house.
We enjoyed our stay and the hanging out at the Pool.
Communication went without any Problems.
Maybe just was Thing for consideration. We would have love it to have some Kind of espresso Maschine. Like n espresso Maybe.

Sheer bliss!
What a wonderful 9 days. The house was exactly as described and was very well equipped. Comfy beds and good air con, being high up also meant there was a welcome breeze through the house.
We walked into Calonge a couple of times, about a 15 minute walk in the heat.

Villa Las Mimosas is an amazing villa with beautiful views, nicely decorated and very well equipped. The garden is stunning and has several seating areas.
We also liked the location, quiet but close to shops, the sea and nice Spanish villages.

The relaxing, tranquil area where the villa is situated is beautiful with views over the village out to the mountains and sea. Absolutely beautiful!! We all enjoyed the pool all week 😍

Beautiful villa, we didn't want to leave
We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The photos do the property justice, it's an absolutely stunning place and the pool and gardens are beautifully maintained. The inside space was great, bedrooms and bathrooms perfect and the kids loved the lounge where they could watch DVDs when it got a bit too hot for outside. Our evenings we're spent drinking beer looking out over Calonge and then eating out under the pavilion. It was so relaxing I felt like crying when we had to leave! Loads of supermarkets close by and some lovely places to visit. We don't normally go back to the same place but I'd return in a flash as one week didn't feel long enough.

Lovely break
The property was lovely and in a wonderful location. It is close enough to shops and the beach, but it's up in the hills with lots of space around you. There are lovely walks into the hills from the villa and everything was very easy. The villa had everything we needed and the kids loved the pool.
The only negative was the ants, which isn't specific to this villa and is a problem throughout Spain. With two young kids it's virtually impossible to not have any crumbs, but we kept them to a minimum and still we needed to deal with ants every day. We still had an excellent holiday, but this might be useful information to others as something to be aware of.
The kids want to know when we're going back as they miss it already!!

A truly fabulous house!
Villa Las Mimosas is probably the best house we've ever stayed in.
The house itself is huge, welcoming and airy. The decor and furnishings are first class and the whole effect a great combination of comfort and luxury.
The pool area is simply perfect and the gardens are amazing. There are so many seating areas within the grounds so you can follow the sun or the shade as you wish.
Every possible convenience has been considered and provided.
WE loved every minute of our 11 day stay there. Our young adult children came out to stay for a part of our holiday and they loved it too!
Along with the abundant and verdant plants and trees come the bees! They were very curious while we were eating but nowhere to be seen at other times. Also a few mosquitos came for a bite but we've had far worse!
Really didn't want to leave this lovely place. It was an extremely memorable holiday and would recommend it very, very highly.

Exquisite in Every Way
This is a stunning villa furnished to the highest standard. We absolutely loved our stay here. The views from all aspects were very special. A quiet peaceful retreat for those who wish calm and tranquility whilst being an excellent base for exploring the local area. Kitchen equipped to the highest level and beds extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this property.

A lovely stay
A great house and pool for our family of four. Extremely clean and well maintained and very approachable local managing agents. I'd give it five stars if the guests had full control of the air conditioning (upstairs only at night, downstairs only during the day) but this wouldn't stop us returning again. The pool is a great size and the heating was perfect. Lots of outdoor space and a nice BBQ area.

Well Furnished Quiet Location
The villa is well furnished, couldn't complain about a thing , it has everything one would need or expect for a family holiday, the weather wasn't great whilst we where there, which isn't normal for the area in August, but this did not stop the enjoyment of the villa.

beautifull with a couple of flaws
Great villa , great views, lovely garden with great pool....... But a couple of issues
air con on timer which I was not made aware of, timers were not set to correct numbers of hours.one air unit leaked and took week to fix. Then broke again in evening making loud noise constantly but no emergency call out so had to leave till next morning which did spoil night. These things are so easy to rectify . I would not have booked if I had been aware of timers

A beautiful villa with magnificent gardens and views
This lovely villa is equipped to a vey high standard and has beautiful en-suite facilities to each of the two main bedrooms.
The booking process was very easy and efficient. Joan and Trevor were always on hand to answer any queries and offer useful suggestions.

Amazing location and views
We have recently stayed at Villa Los Mimosa in Calonge. The area is quiet and safe. The neighbours are very friendly and gave us some great tips for Spain in general. The booking process was very easy and Mark was quick to respond to any queries. We met with Joan on arrival and were shown the villa and were impressed with the layout, bedrooms upstairs living and dining downstairs. Like all the reviews the pictures don't do justice to the property or the views all the way to St. Antoni beach. The local restaurant La Jovita is a short stroll down the hill. St Antoni beach is approximately 4kms away with ample parking close to the beach. We would definetly love to come back to this villa and region as it different to other areas of the Costa Brava not as built up or over run by tourists. Access from Barcelona is easy 1&1/2 hrs by car.

The villa was lovely and had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Lovely en-suite bathrooms in both master bedrooms. The garden and pool area were fantastic and well maintained. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the villa.

Simply Stunning
Fabulous villa with sea views on a hillside above the medieval town of Calonge. Extremely well appointed, pool fantastic and kitchen very well equipped. The Bathrooms were particularly luxurious. Extremely relaxing stay, Agent Joan was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful villa in a lovely area
What a fantastic villa. Equipped with everything we could possibly need, and beautifully maintained, we had a great holiday. The grounds are lovely, as are the views. There was plenty of space around the pool to relax and the surrounding towns are worth visiting.
Mark and his wife were very friendly and helpful prior to our visit. We have stayed in several villas and would rank this as the best! Thank you.

Very well presented villa
We recently had an extremely relaxing stay at Villa Las Mimosas.
On arrival the villa had been meticulously prepared. Spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The grounds are very well maintained and being on a hill there are super views overt he surrounding area. Calonge is quiet, but well positioned to explore the authentic villages of this part of Spain.
The villa lacks nothing for a great family holiday. Highly recommended.

Lovely villa in a beautiful part of Spain
My husband, three kids and I stayed for three weeks at this wonderful villa and can't recommend it highly enough. The house itself is beautifully decorated and comfortable, with lots of space for the 5 of us. The house is situated on a hill with great view of the town and sea beyond, and most days we had a wonderful breeze blowing through open windows (and of course the air conditioning when it was too hot). The rooms were well-appointed, the bathrooms were large and gorgeous, and the grounds were exquisite. The location is ideal, close to many beaches and close to towns with restaurants and activities. The highway is just minutes away so it is quite easy to get around (we explored France to Barcelona and everything in between from the house), but the property feels private. Trevor and Joan were helpful and conscientious caretakers, always with good suggestions for restaurants or things to see. The kids loved the beautiful pool - and the wifi connection was a big plus for them. I loved the views, the modern kitchen (with anything you might need for cooking), and the peacefulness. It is the perfect place to sightsee from, as well as just relax. 5 stars!

Perfect vacation.
This truly was a lovely home. Not exactly as described, they have renovated and added a fabulous ensuite to the second bedroom! Just out of town and up a hill to give wonderful views and cooling breeze. Pool was well used and much appreciated after touring around all day. A lovely area of Spain with many medieval villages and beaches near by. This was one of our favorite vacation homes. Would most certainly recommend to family or friends.
