This was the perfect end of summer getaway for our family, we did a couple of fun things including touring Mammoth Cave and horse back riding, but most of the time we swam in the lake, took the kayaks out that were provided with this house, cooked, and relaxed. We absolutely loved just getting away for a few days! The only downside is there is no washer and dryer. Wasn't a big deal because we only stayed 4 days, but if it were a week I could see laundry definitely piling up.

Everything was nice and clean inside. Outside there was an issue with the septic tank and the back yard was a sewage leak that made the flies and a stink. Could not use fire pit.
If sewage issue fixed I would go back

This property worked well for our muti family vacation, plenty of room for everyone. This was our second stay at this house. The first time the back yard was unusable due to sepic tank issues ,very smelly and messy with concerns of what it was. This time it was worse, you couldn't even sit on the deck and enjoy the lake without smelling sewage. The dock was available due to high water, had to make a walkway out of logs and rope to be able to use it for some, my wife could not get to the dock at all. While staying all week it became an issue not having enough towels and such, with it not having a washer or dryer, they should supply more. Becarfull walking on the rock path to the dock, your gray water that you are producing, runs across them and makes them slippery. Probably will not be a third visit.

My children came from every direction. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us. Everyone had their own space. Having two sitting areas was so nice. Three of the family got in the lake and the rest of us enjoyed watching from the deck. We were able to get wood and had a great time at the fire ring. Although the ground was really muddy. Who cares when your with family!

As others have said, the view from the deck and even in the living room is beautiful and the highlight. We loved our stay and would return gladly.

We had a 3 night stay here. The place was great. Very clean and kitchen fully stocked. The kayaks were a great bonus. My only complaint was the beds were not very comfortable. But all in all a beautiful place.

This is our second year and we love it. However we have a one year old now. He will be two next year and his sister 6 months. We may have to go sone where else for several years and then come back. Too many steps and steep terrains . But we think it is great, just maybe not for active toddlers.

Big enough for our party of 11, nice property close to the water. One issue was wifi didn’t work, wasn’t a huge deal for us as we came to see mammoth caves. Other reviews were accurate that there were only 7 forks which is funny since the property sleeps 14. We purchased 9 and they now have 16 forks! Lol. It was a 40 minute drive to the cave tours, but is a perfect little drive for people with kids for car naps.

Lovely home with a beautiful view! Very well outfitted kitchen for cooking. Lots of room for up to 14 guests. Very comfortable beds. Everything you need for a great getaway. The deck was amazing and the kayaks really added to the enjoyment of our stay.

I came with another adult and 8 middle school girls with an American Heritage Girls troop. The property was exactly as stated and close to Mammoth Cave. AHG has very specific guidelines for overnight trips and this home met them all and was in our price range. I highly recommend.

We met up with my in-laws here for short vacation/visit. The house was perfect! The view off the deck was breathtaking and we all enjoyed just sitting on it watching the water and spending time together. Honestly, we all agreed that was our favorite part of the trip and we spent one afternoon at Mammoth cave. Honestly it was just a great spot to relax and enjoy some quality family time. I can't say enough how much enjoyed it. We definitely plan to come back!

The property is nice, clean, and exactly what is communicated! It is a little further from the attractions near Mammoth Cave than expected, but overall it was a nice place that served us well.

We enjoyed our stay. The home had lots of space for our family. The kitchen had most everything we needed, except enough silverware. Our one disappointment was finding a stack of dirty dishes in the cabinet. Gross! It's hard to feel comfortable when you know something hasn't been cleaned. Everything else was as we expected.

Not what I expected. I never rented a house from vrbo or their competitors that didn’t include a washer/dryer and a tv in the bedroom. Not bad. Won’t be back. Cleaner needs to clean under things.

We had a great time and there was plenty of space for us all to hang out! Would definitely stay there again.

Very cute home! We had a family of 10 with 2 dogs and the home layout was very accommodating for our family groups. It can sleep up to 12 comfortably with nice beds and comfy linens. The listing shows up to 14 but not sure where 2 more people would sleep. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans and dishes. We enjoyed the lower level with walk out for the convenience of taking out the dogs. Driving in, the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but once we turned the corner, the homes were nice. The drive to Mammoth Caves visitor center was about 35-40 minutes so not too far to travel. We enjoyed our stay!

The property met all expectations and then some. Nicely situated. Great layout for our family group. Stayed in late fall so did not use the lake, but enjoyed the views. Worked great for accessing Mammoth Cave National Park. Nice and cozy place! Very enjoyable stay!

Beautiful view of the lake very quiet area. The house was very nice needs new sofa in basement area. Beds were comfortable. Property manager was not very responsive. Some amenities were lacking, ie. flatware, firewood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was close to Mammoth Cave National Park. And we loved being so close to Nolin Lake. I would definitely recommend this house if you're looking for a weekend getaway. We had 13 adults and were perfectly comfortable.

We stayed at this wonderful home for a visit to Mammoth Cave. It is a beautiful setting and the house had everything we needed. (Except forks, there were only 7 LOL) The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great, even the baby. Lots of room with the two levels and the upper loft bedroom. I would say a quick 20-30 minute ride to the cave. We were hoping to do some type of bourbon tasting around the area, but dry counties everywhere. BYOB We found two smaller grocery stores in the area, but if you need specialty items, bring them with you. All in all a great stay!

We are a group of 5 guys that visited the area to ride our motorcycles. The house was perfect for us. 5 separate sleeping areas worked great. The deck on back over looks the lake and was a great place to gather at the end of the day. There is a Dollar General Market just a few miles down the road which was well stocked for groceries. We came to ride and although we were prepared for unpaved roads, we couldn’t find any. Every road in Kentucky was paved and smooth. It is a very scenic area with friendly folks everywhere. I would definitely recommend visiting.

The home was perfect. We went to do some hiking and tours at Mammoth cave. We ended up hanging out at the house because it was so relaxing. Sitting on the deck watching the lake, having a fire, and kayaking. This was the perfect weekend getaway. Thank you.

This is our 4th time staying here and it just keeps getting better. The house was super clean, beautifully updated, well stocked and you can’t beat the setting. The dock was perfect to use for swimming and floating. Thanks for a perfect place to stay. Our friends loved it too and can’t wait to come back.

A group of friends and I booked to enjoy a couple days of fishing on the lake and we enjoyed this property so much. The check in/ check out process was easy. The property owner was wonderful to deal with and very responsive to messages. The property was clean and well maintained. Very quiet and peaceful area with a great back deck to enjoy the views on. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This lake house was super adorable. The layout made it comfortable for my family of 8 adults and 2 children to comfortably spend time together while still allowing us space to do our own things as well. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. We were secluded enough that we didn't feel the hustle and bustle of every day life but also not so far from everything that we couldn't enjoy the local activities. The steps down to the lake are a bit steep just as a heads up. But they were well maintained and it seemed like most stair cases around the lake are about the same given the terrain. We all absolutely loved our vacation here and would definitely return if we ever found ourselves in the area again! Thank you!

Nice place. Plenty of space for 4 adults & 3 teens. Loved the outside space, covered deck and patio. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great. Kids loved the swimming area. Not far from a grocery store and Mammoth Caves. The cons were that some beds were not clean and the floors had not been cleaned properly either. The drainfield (backyard) was wet the whole 3 days we were there. Firepit area too wet to have a campfire. Lawn got mowed while we were gone and the wet grass clippings were blown all over the back patio and then tracked in the house. Overall if these things were fixed I'd recommend this place.

The lake was great for swimming and kayaking. The deck was outstanding for hanging out and enjoying the view. The house itself was very nice and could comfortably sleep 12 adults. The drive in and out of the neighborhood was very curvy and hilly and not close to much without driving 45 minutes or so. This home is an excellent choice for staying put and hanging out with your friends and/or family, but not great if you want to go to restaurants and more city-type activities. While we were there we went to Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Down Under, which were really great and pretty close to the home.

The home was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The dock space was perfect for the two boats that we brought. We didn’t have power for the first day and a half due to a storm. The owner provided a generator and was helpful in keeping us updated on when we should expect the power to come back on.
