The housekeepers, Vicky and her husband were very hospitalary and kind. The location up the hill sorrounded by narure and the fresh air.
We arrived at the place and nobody was there. No light, the doors were opened but the place was like abandoned. It looked like a terror movie. We were coming from a long journey and we wanted to rest. We didn’t understand anything because the day before we recieved a message from booking. Finally we decided to ask at a restaurant near the place, and the owner told us were the hotel housekeepers lived. They didn’t know about the booking, and in a hurry prepared a room for us. The place is not mantained. It is not like the photos. Even it is beautiful for his arquitecture, it is completely abandoned, all the windows didn’t close, there were buggs everywhere inside and the toilets were a disaster… I’m really sorry because our expectations were high and we were happy to go. But we couldn’t enjoy the place. I recommend the owner to change the photos because they aren’t realistic at all, and you feel cheated.

The place is good for anyone who wants to be away from the city and just be with the nature. The kitchen is complete with the facilities so you can cook your own food during your stay.
The location was a bit far that its hard to get a ride back home and the wifi is a bit weak.

The house is very clean and cosy. We stayed on the second floor. There is a spacious veranda right out side your door where you can relax and enjoy the view of the mountain and garden. The kitchen is equipped with utensils. The staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂
There is no hot water in the shower. The water is too cold to shower.

The architecture and the design of the place is very appealing and charming. Situated halfway on the mountain, one is surrounded by nature and its sounds. The staff is also very friendly.
The place has definately seen better times. We had a room in the attic of the house. Toilet and shower were situated downstairs which we knew beforehand. However, the toilet was missing the toilet seat and had an open top to the main living/kitchen area which is not very comfortable with other guests around. But this is nothing compared to the room itself. Especially the bed gave us creeps. A mouldy 3 cm matress on a wodden bed frame full of dead and living bugs. The windows were not closing properly, potentially inviting more bugs to come in. Unfortunately, the weather was quite unstable meaning it was constantly raining on the mountain while the sun was shining at the bottom. Due to the rain the place was very humid which slowly spead to our clothes and stuff. That‘s why we decided to leave after the first night.
All in all Volcano houses can be a nice adventure for one night, but it‘s not a comfortable place to stay.

If you want to be surrounded by nature in a cozy place, this is the perfect choice. Ado and Vicky were the perfect hostages and helpful every moment.
It is quite far away from the groceries shop, so in case you want to cook at the place you need to plan it in advance, but there are 2 good restaurants near the house in case you don’t.

just look at it, we felt honoured to stay somewhere so stunning! We even scored the entire place to ourselves for 1 of our 2 days. amazing. The lovely staff helped us with a lift to the airport too as well as allowing us to check in a bit early and check out a bit later too, the little things! Wifi was fantastic when it worked but the electricity did go off a couple of times - no fault of the property
the cold shower in the room is not the best when the one downstairs is hot - maybe an upgrade needed on this front! As others have mentioned, locks on doors would be nice despite it being a seemingly really safe island in general and probably more so up a mountain.

A perfect spot to escape. Away from the city but surrounded by the nature. We recommend to bring your own foods before going to the property coz kitchen and fridge are free to use

I like the uniqueness of the house, very beautiful design, exquisite. The surroundings is peaceful.
The place is not very secure, its very open, no caretaker in the evening. We don't have hot shower in our room. There's no wifi connection.

A unique experience, the place was very clean, the surroundings was stunning, the layout was something you won’t easily find in the Philippines. The dogs were very friendly, greeted us and was trained to look after the guests all night. The staff who looked welcomed went out of his way to get us the stuff we needed which we were not able to bring.
There was no phone signal and the wifi was not working properly. Also, the water was not hot.

A very nicely designed big house with a great garden which was a nice change for a few days. Being up in the mountains means the climate is fresher and less humid so it was super comfortable. All the wood work is amazing. Overall a very nice stay and the balcony is super nice
The room didn’t have a proper bathroom despite the price, just a corner made into a small toilet / cold shower part. All the sliding doors didn’t really close as they didn’t have handles so it was difficult to move.

The location was basically on top of the mountain and the road to the house was under construction so it was hard to get to it.

The daytime view from the house is amazing. The house architecture is open and suitable for a group of people. If you are looking to stay immersed in nature, this is the location for you. In my review I am listing a number of downsides, and even with those included, the location and the overall ambience of the house is enough to make it worth it.
The house needs a little maintenance as it probably hasn't been used much during the pandemic. The hot water is essentially none existent (be prepared for cold showers). There are cobwebs and dusty corners throughout the admittedly large house. The wifi is mostly accessible in the living room only.
Please note that the road to the house is accessible only via an SUV, truck or similar. Additionally, if you arrive after dark, you will have to go and explore the dirt road in the dark (may be difficult to find your house).

I love how it is located in Mt. Hibok-Hibok! We love the cold weather, we love the vibe of the whole place, truly perfect for relaxation and bonding with the family.
It was understandable that there was no electricity nor internet due to the damages of typhoon Odette. I’m happy that they have generators to light up the place, but not enough to allow us to use the other appliances so we had to endure the cold water since we can’t use the shower heater. Also, it’s true what I’ve read in the previous reviews that there are no toiletries provided. Good thing we shopped for food and other necessities including flashlight, match/lighter and candles before we went to the Volcano House.
