About this apartment rental
These four star rated apartments have been sympathetically renovated from 3 old stone farmhouses dating back more than 150 years, to provide comfortable accommodation with all modern amenities. The 5 apartments are grouped around a large communal terrace complete with stone built barbeque area, and a communal swimming pool with sunbathing area.
In an elevated position on the edge of the village of Bogdasici, in the hills above Tivat, the area is quiet and secluded, surrounded by nature with far reaching views of both the sea and mountains, yet easily accessible. The nearest beach is just 2km away, and a 5 minute drive takes you to the town of Tivat, made famous by the super-yacht marina porto Montenegro.
Each of the five, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments, sleeping up to 4 guests (5 in the Valley apartment), has been specially designed to offer private entrances and private outside space, complete with fully fitted open plan kitchens, air conditioning and ample storage space whilst making the most of the stunning views.
Apartments can be rented individually or in groups to provide accommodation for 4, 8, 12,,16 or 20/21 guests. Guests can choose from the Orchard, Downstairs Barn, Upstairs Barn or Valley Apartments, or the Duplex House, each offering different benefits and features.
Rustic, lived in feel to the apartments.
The Orchard Apartment
The Orchard apartment takes its name from the delightful private orchard with a variety of fruit trees to the rear of the apartment. The orchard has a table and chairs plus a couple of sunbeds. At the front of the apartment is a spacious covered roof terrace with great views and dining table and chairs. The modern kitchen includes full size hob and oven, built in large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a dining and seating area complete with cable TV and free internet
The double bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there is a second bathroom for the twin room.
The Upstairs Barn
The Upstairs Barn has a sunny terrace overlooking the pool and with some of the best sea views on the property. A fully equipped kitchen is open plan to the living/dining room, complete with cable TV and free internet. The en-suite master bedroom features a King size bed and great valley side views. The twin room has an adjacent bathroom. Both bedrooms have fans to supplement the air conditioning in the living area.
The Downstairs Barn
The Downstairs Barn features an enormous terrace around 3 sides, offering sun or shade as required with table and chairs for dining and a couple of sunbeds for relaxing. The modern kitchen includes full size hob and oven, built in large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a dining and seating area complete with cable TV, internet and Dvd player with a selection of films.Both bedrooms have original stone feature walls. The double room has stunning views of the valley and an en suite bathroom. The twin bedded room has an adjacent bathroom. Both bedrooms have fans to supplement the air conditioning in the living area.
The House
The House is an upside-down house offering 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, with a private, secluded terrace off the master bedroom with table and chairs for breakfast overlooking the olive grove. Upstairs there is an open plan kitchen and living/dining area, roof terrace and 2nd bathroom. The living area has cable TV, internet and Dvd player with a selection of films.The kitchen is fully equipped with full size oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher, and there is a useful laundry area complete with washing machine on the lower floor.
There are air conditioning unit s on both the upper and lower floor and each bedroom has fans if needed for extra comfort.
Valley Apartment
The Valley apartment has two bedrooms, one double with en suite and a twin with a second bathroom. A sofa bed in the living area allows a fifth guest to be accommodated.
The modern kitchen includes full size hob and oven, built in large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a dining and seating area complete with cable TV, internet and a Dvd player with a selection of films.
The large terrace overlooking the beautiful valley has plenty of room for private dining or sunbathing. Table, chairs and sunbeds are provided on the terrace for use of this apartment.
All apartments have Air conditioning and WIFI access, and a cot and high chair are available on request.
Just a 10 minute drive from Tivat airport where there are flights from many European cities.
Alternatively, Podgorica and Dubrovnik airports are both around a 90 minute drive away.
We are delighted to announce yet another reason to choose Palma Gora for your holiday. Our lovely neighbour Elaine is a professional chef with an excellent pedigree. She worked as a chef on private super yachts for eleven years, owned a Thai restaurant in Mexico and has cooked in many exotic locations. Having sailed into Boka Bay one day she was so overwhelmed by the natural beauty that she decided to settle here in Montenegro. We are of course delighted that she chose to buy a part of the farmhouse next to us.
Elaine can shop, prepare and present meals for you if you have had a tiring day out or simply want to treat yourselves. Look at her website , Cooks of Kotor, to see the range of services on offer but if you are interested do book early as her diary gets very full.
In addition to providing a private chef service, Elaine will prepare a meal for your arrival and leave it in the fridge so you do not need to worry about cooking on the first night. If you are interested in this service I will put you in touch with Elaine, who will send you sample menus and prices.

A lovely place to stay up in the hills and away from it all.
We had a lovely time at Palma Gora. It was the perfect place for three families to get together, with our own living space but communal pool and barbecue area. The apartments were clean and comfortable. The property is right at the end of a long, steep lane that takes a bit of practice to drive up, but we loved escaping the hustle and bustle of Kotor and the coastal road, and returning to this quiet place with views of the wooded hills. We hope to come back one day.

Fabulous place for a group holiday
We were a group of 12 aged between 8 and 60, and rented 4 apartments at Palmagora. The setting is stunning and the apartments are really well-equipped, spotlessly clean and well kept. The pool area is really lovely, very well maintained and clean. We were there during the Olympics and held our own competitions - synchronised swimming and lilo racing proved very popular. Each apartment also has its own private outdoor space which is great too. We all loved it there and were very sorry to leave.
Before we arrived we received a welcome pack which gave perfect instructions for finding the apartments and hints and tips for while we were there. We'd recommend having a car - it made shopping easier - but we also used taxis which were cheap. It's possible to walk to the nearest shops, but quite an uphill trek to get back. There's a great fish shop on the way to Tivat, plus a couple of more than adequate supermarkets and vegetable shops. Food is cheap and good quality. The airport is really close - 15 mins drive maximum. We ate one night at Exit Pizza on the main road into Tivat, which turned out fine but they were a bit daunted by the size of our party and would only cook 6 pizzas for us - I'd recommend warning them the day before for a big group booking. That said, 6 pizzas and some salads proved adequate and our total bill for 11 people including drinks was under 60Euros!
Kotor is beautiful, though very busy during August and the roads are quite congested. Tivat is great for a family day in a seaside town and is only about 10 minutes away.
Contact with the property managers and the owners was excellent - they were really responsive and keen to ensure we had a great stay.
The whole experience was a pleasure from the moment we booked... until we had to leave!

Tranquility and Beauty
A familiy of Ten of us recently stayed here and we absolutely loved it. It is beautifully placed on the mountain side with tremendous views all round. The managers Ivan and Milica were excellent and really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The houses are really well done and the pool was a huge hit with the kids. I would definitely recommend this place for family holidays however it is rural and you definitely need a car.
