The property was better than what I expected from the web site. We had a wonderful stay. Any issues that cam up were immediately addressed by the property manager. We would stay here again.

We stayed at Silvia and Paulo’s villa outside Lucca for 2 weeks with 10 family and friends. This historic villa was beautiful and had all the modern conveniences of a current day home. The gardens and a rushing waterfall created a serene setting for our stay. The hosts were amazing, providing recommendations for restaurants, things to visit, car service and even a chef to come in for a private dinner. Every need we had was met very swiftly. The location was great only 10 minutes from Lucca where we were able to access the train station to visit Rome, Venice and Florence. I cannot speak more highly of this villa or our gracious hosts. Schedule a trip here!

Silvia and her husband our host was so kind!
We stayed in Silvia house for a week.
Beautiful home and property. The pool and outside grounds was very beautiful! Our grandsons loved swimming in the pool.
The house was equipped with everything you could need! Comfortable, relaxing, spacious and very close to everything!
Thank you Silvia for making our stay perfect!

Beautiful house and large garden accommodating our extended family perfectly. Glorious views of the gardens, pool and surrounding hills and woodland. We all loved it!

What an amazing dream villa! The hosts were the nicest people, and everything around arrival and departure was perfect. It has been such a great pleasure to stay in this fantastic house. It is much more beautiful (and bigger) in real life, than the pictures show. Also, it is so amazing to stay in a house with such a long and exciting history.
All facilities, including the pool, the garden, the barbecue, the kitchen and of course the bedrooms/bathrooms were perfect and in perfect condition.
The location could not be better – so close to lovely Lucca.
We can only give our highest recommendations for the hosts and the house!

We have a wonderful week at the Villa. It was very beautiful and Silvia was so helpful.
Could not have wanted a better location to visit all the towns near by

Host: Silvia was absolutely amazing! She anticipated our needs as well as being immediately responsive to anything we needed, such as coffee for our first morning after we were very late arriving the night before!
Location: Beautiful, peaceful, and easy to launch into Pisa, Lucca, & Florence.
Villa: Rustic charm with everything we wanted and needed! We absolutely loved the old house. We cooked and ate many meals under the pergola, enjoying the gardens, pool, and beautiful view.
Our experience was an A++ thanks to Silvia and her gracious hospitality! Farewell Tuscany - we won't forget you!

Although impressed by the photographs and description given on the website, on arrival our expectations were immediately exceeded.
The owner ,Sylvia and Paulo were really helpful when needed throughout our stay.
Fabulous location,views and property.
We were truly able to relax .
Good sized pool which is a big consideration for us.
Would certainly return and keen to explore Tuscany further.

This was a fantastic place for my family to vacation in Tuscany. The villa had great charm and was very well appointed. Everything you needed was there and available. We made some great dinners both in the kitchen and out on the charcoal grill. We also had a catered dinner arranged by Silvia that made for a very special night. The pool was fantastic and there was lots of space within the property for everyone to find their own spot to relax.
Silvia was a great host! She was always available if there was anything you needed or had any questions about the area. The place itself is a little remote so it would help if you had a car. But if you don't have a car Silvia had recommended Roman's car service and it is a great option. We used his service for tours and just to take day trips to Pisa, Lucca, and Florence.
Thank you Silvia for all you did to make this a great trip for me and my family!

The villa was perfect for our stay. The first week, we hosted our two adult children, their spouse, and our six grandchildren. Everyone had excellent sleeping accommodations with A/C. We twice hosted a large family gathering with relatives visiting from both US and Tuscany. The pool and outdoor dining made it a wonderful place to host everyone. In the second week, we had adult friends. The week included a catered dinner at the villa, all arranged by the host. It was a magical, delicious, and memorable evening. The villa is within 30 minutes by car from Pisa, Lucca, and Viareggio making for great beach days and fun nightlife and shopping.

Great week with friends
6 of us stayed at Silvia’s for a week. The house was just as described. Very clean and comfortable, great kitchen and living room. Air conditioning worked really well and the windows had screens., Got a lot of use out of the pool.
The outdoor space was really good also . We used the gazebo table for 6 which was perfect for us, but there is also a long table with two large umbrellas, which we didn’t use but looks great for a bigger group.
Silva was so kind and helpful, always available for any questions or suggestions. Very good base for visiting the Lucca area, Pisa, and wineries. We also easily drove out to viareggio for a beach day.
I would definitely recommend this house for a group or family vacation and look forward to returning.

Fabulous place
We spent a week here with a group of friends. The host, Sylvia was welcoming and super helpful. The house is a beautiful old Tuscan villa, beautifully decorated and appointed. The pool and outside sitting areas were well used. The lovely town of Luca is a 20 minute drive and there is a very good authentic restaurant in Vorno. We loved every minute of it. Thank you Sylvia for finally making our delayed by COVID holiday happen.

We had a wonderful week in Vorno. Silvia is a wonderful host. She loves the house and is super helpful at all times. She made the hand over of the house, in both directions, a very pleasant and short affair. We will come back

Alles vorhanden an Ausstattung.

A Treat in a Tuscan Retreat
This is simply the perfect place to getaway from fast paced modern living.
The house is rustic and full of character. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities you need. Wonderful large pool which was cleaned during our 1 week stay. The pictures are true to real life, except that real was even better!
There is a stream that runs alongside the house which is lovely to listen too as it is so peaceful.
We took the opportunity to have a very lovely local lady cook for us to celebrate a birthday the night before our departure. We choose menu 2. The food was traditional Tuscan and it didn’t disappoint. There was so much too! This lady also does cooking lessons!
I would also recommend you visit the local pizzeria / trattoria “Il Bimbotto”, which is within walking distance, the pizzas are delicious which you can also take out.
Silvia is a lovely lady and speaks very good English. She was very thorough with her explanation of how everything works, and kindly offered more towels if needed. The only other times we saw her besides our arrival and morning of departure was when we had our evening walks up the mountainside and bumped into her. She was always happy to stop for a chat and gave us recommendations of the best way to travel to Florence.
Vorno is in a great position as Lucca is very close about 10/15 minutes away. What a beautiful city! You must try riding around the city walls, a great way to see the sights.
Pisa is about 30 minutes away by car and Florence is easy to get to either by bus, train or by car as the autostrada is nearby.
The supermarket “Esselunga” is also really easy to get to by car about 10 minutes although one of our party also stumbled upon a very small shop in “Guamo”.
All in all we had a fabulous time, we were all swept away with the village “Vorno” and Villa Cima Vorno XVI Secolo which felt like home.
Simply stunning!

A very special Tuscan vacation
From the photos and reviews of the villa at Vorno we knew to expect a beautiful, large, historic house with a nice swimming pool surrounded by an expansive , nicely maintained garden. The surprise for us was the lovely countryside surrounding the property, offering trails for hiking and biking when we wanted to take a break from playing with the children in the pool. Silvia is the supreme hostess, always available to answer our questions and give us tips. Especially our little girl so enjoyed joining Silvia to visit the horses grazing close-by. We all took home many happy memories of our Vorno vacation!

Week with friends
Silvia's house is gorgeous and was exactly what we needed. The kitchen is really well equipped and there are plenty of large dining spaces.
Silvia is lovely and really easy to communicate with. She organised a chef to come to cook us dinner one evening and it was a delicious meal.
The surroundings are beautiful too and there are plenty of shops/supermarkets a short drive away.

Loved our villa in Vorno !
We just got back from 10 nights in Vorno. What a charming countryside to Lucca. We visited Lucca, Cinque Terre, Viareggio (adorable beach town), Pietrasanta (a real treat -- and surprise art community, unbelieveable marble sculpture), Sienna and the Chianti wine area. We had rented a car and made multiple day trips. The villa is fabulous! Wonderful big kitchen, we only used 4 of the bedrooms, but plenty of space to stretch out and enough. We loved the co-op market to buy our daily supplies. This villa has everything that you need! Lots of glassware, dishes, etc Well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The beds all have lovely linens and everything is clean and pristine! Silvia was wonderful and so helpful when we needed her! We hired a chef for an evening meal, that was delightful and delicious. Everything about our trip was spectacular. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property !

The most beautiful Tuscan villa !
Myself and 8 friends have just returned from a suberb holiday in this beautiful villa . Way beyond our expectations ,simply stunning ! The garden area and pool was authentic ,and vast ,with a magnificent stream ,flowing at the back . Lemon trees and plants in abundance , to pick for our drinks and cooking ! The interior was typical of the area , spacious bedrooms and bathrooms . Lovely lounge area . And the kitchen was a large well equipped Tuscan layout , Which we took full advantage to use , mainly eating outside in the Al fresco dining area . Silvia was a lovely friendly lady , on hand should we need her . She was very helpful in organising her friend Hilde to pick us up at the airport ,who also took us to a large supermarket on arrival ,as we didn't have transport . Hilde also took us to a lovely evening of wine tasting , eating and dancing in nearby montecarlo . Silvia Also arranged for chefs one evening to come and cook for us at the villa ( Yvonne and Tiberius ) it was absolutely wonderful ! Beautiful food and so friendly . Well recommended. We had no problem walking to the small village of Vorno approximately 15minutes.there is a restaurant "A Bimbotto " absolutely superb , we ate there twice during our stay . There is also a small butcher that sells general provisions ,and a bus stop , taking you into Lucca ,20minutes away . from there you can get the train to Florence . To sum it up we had a fantastic holiday in beautiful Tuscany , which will have a special place in our hearts , thank you Silvia for our wonderful Tuscan experience in your magnificent villa ......well recommended ,and we will return ! Beautiful villa. Highly recommended
My family and I spent a wonderful week in this beautiful spacious villa a few weeks ago, before attending our daughters wedding in Valle Di Badia. The accommodation was spotless and we passed a very happy time there. The pool and the gardens were really relaxing. Outdoor living at its best. We would all love to return at some point in the future. Thank you Silvia,

Disappointing
We’ve been to Italy many times before but first time met such disappointing Owner’s attitude. Actually the only thing she was doing was checking us in garbage disposal which was sick. We had to use 5 bins and were controlled if we put each trash correctly. It was very cold when we were in the villa and we weren’t even asked if we’re ok. We had to ask for the wood but the fireplace couldn’t heat the house. Because of cold everything was wet especially the towels that couldn’t dry, but it they weren’t changed even once. At the beginning we were asked to pay deposit which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the description of conditions on HomeAway. Than we had to pay for final cleaning but were supposed to leave the house in the condition we’ve arrived to it what is definitely ridiculous. There was some food left in the kitchen what made the Owner comment on kitchen cleanliness (we don’t throw out food so just left it). The WiFi was a joke. It wasn’t working at all, what was unacceptable. Last day the Owners were pushing us to leave by standing at the door with dissatisfaction what gave a feeling that we already paid so they don’t care. I don’t recommend such places.

holiday of a lifetime
The villa offered more than we had expected. It was very comfortable, clean and had a good atmosphere. Situated in the beautiful Tuscan mountains it was also very peaceful. We, all ages, loved it and Silvia. She could not have been more helpful and kinder even though she was very busy at the time. She made us feel welcome. The local food outlets were wonderful and Lucca just a few minutes away. I would recommend this villa to everyone looking for the perfect holiday.
Thank you so much Silvia.

Excellent family holiday home
We had a family holiday which met all our expectations and the pool was well used. We loved Lucca, especially riding bikes round the city walls
Silvia was so helpful and friendly and we learnt a lot about the vagaries of Vorno recycling!
We loved Cucina Dello Scompiglio and visited twice during the week.
Have recommended the villa to a number of friends and would love to return.

Excellent villa. Friendly & helpful owner/managers
The villa is exactly as described. The property was very clean and well maintained. The service was excellent. They organised a chef to come and cook for my mother's birthday. They went above and beyond to help with any queries we had.
The villa itself is in great condition with all rooms, including bathrooms, having recently been renovated. All my family members of various ages liked it. My elderly mother did comment on the staircase which was a touch steeper than some stairs in the UK. Most of our party did not notice this though and it did not cause any problems.
The garden, pool and lemon trees were all in great condition and well kept. At the time of year we were there, the pool was in the shade from about 6pm onwards. The sun is obviously weak at this time so it was not an issue. The horses available next door looked stunning. I don't know where the horses sleep but there was no noise from them at any time - overnight or during the day. The garden and the pool are private and cannot be seen by passing cars.
The villa is well located for reaching Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and much more.
I can confirm all the favourable descriptions in the prior reviews, save for drinking water from the river, which we did not try or ask about.
Overall I would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives. We had a great holiday.
Thank you Silvia and Paolo for all your help. With best wishes.

Our holiday in .cimavorno was a fantastic holiday experience. For a family gathering with 8 adult and two children this was the perfect place to be. Our host Silvia is the most friendly and helpful person you could ask for. Thanks a lot for your Guiding in different matters ! The environment is so beautiful and a lot of things to enjoy. Pisa, Florens and not the least Lucca old town is must places to see. The house and the garden with the big pool was the most appreciated place during the week. We did have high expectations when we went there and they were all fulfilled .
Thanks for the best week and hopefully see you again
Kind regards from all of us in the

Family visit to Cimavorno August 2015
Eleven of us visited Cimavorno in August 2015.Although we had picked our luggage up by 8pm, by the time we got the hire cars and got lost twice around Pisa we arrived late at the end of a festival day in Cimavorno. In future we would book a taxi from Pisa (contact Bruno via Silvia) and hire the cars at Lucca. Taking a bus from the airport to the car hire area on arrival and departure and it is too much hassle. Arriving at Cimavorno we were very hungry and tired having been on the road from 11am to 11pm. We had to interupt Silvia's dinner with friends as it was so late when we reached the house that we had to phone her for access. My mobile doesn't pick up email so we didn't get the email from Silvia in terms of confirming arrival times. Make sure phone numbers are swapped, inc. codes, to help communications re arrival. We got a quick tour of the house and survived on water and biscuits until we could get our grocery shop the next day. We are sorry we missed the festival. The house was brilliant- luxurious enough to be comfortable but not so precious that you have to caution young ones to be careful every 5 mins. The beds were comfortable - although the pillows were very flat - so there was a lot of pinching of pillows at night! The bathrooms were clean and functional. My son and great niece took advantage of the horseriding lessons offered by Silvia. They loved it. The teenagers and younger children were never out of the pool,it was not ridiculously deep like some villa pools, and ranged from about 4.5ft to 7ftish. The gardens were a joy. The children loved seeing lemons, limes, bananas etc. growing naturally. The perspective from the gardens is gorgeous- from whatever angle you sit. We went to the local Bimbotto restaurant 3 times and they were very nice and welcoming! Lucca is only 5mins away and the grocery shopping proved much cheaper than at home in Belfast. Silvia could not have been more helpful, she let us know she was there if we needed her but was very unobtrusive. Recycling at home is simpler- but we tried our best. The freezer freezed over so much that the door wouldn't close but there is nothing we would complain about. We have been renting villas in Italy and France for some 15 years - we all agreed this was the best. If you are arriving late arrange for some basic provisions bread, milk, coffee, butter etc.Silvia works hard and we hope we looked after her beautiful house during our stay. Silvia, thank you and Good Luck with Cimavorno.

a perfect place to stay
this villa was great for 5 couples . It had everything we wanted - spacious rooms, good kitchen, lounge can be kept cool with shutters, all clean and well equipped, and best of all in the wonderful weather was the lovely pool and garden, where we could choose sun or shade any time of day. Sylvia looked after us whenever we needed help and the whole place was, if anything, better than the photos. It was easy to walk to the village, where the shop sold good local produce and had everything except fruit and veg. and the restaurant was superb, and also did takeaway pizzas. Lucca was easy to drive to, once we found our way. We would definitely recommend this villa.

Excellent, well-managed villa
The website photos looked tempting, and the reality didn't disappoint. This is a charming period villa that's solidly built, well appointed and capable of accommodating plenty of guests (our party numbered 13). The pool is large, the water not too salty, and has a great view up and down the valley. The garden has a range of fruit trees (pick your own lemons for G&T), plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ. Any problems and owner Sylvia will soon be on hand to sort you out -- she's often to be found tending her lovely horses in the paddock opposite. Very highly recommended -- we fully intend to return.

Wonderful villa in beautiful valley
This must be the most magnificent villa we have ever stayed in. All the rooms were comfortable and spacious with lofty beamed ceilings and plenty of character. The many bathrooms were also large with beautiful tiles and fittings and the kitchen was enormous. The house had all the equipment and facilities you could want, including good wifi connection. The swimming pool was also larger than you find in most villas, and the view of the mountains from the sunloungers was spectacular. The weather wasn't quite as good as usual during our stay, but there are lovely walks in the valley and Lucca is close for a visit. The village shop and restaurants are in walking distance (we particularly liked Lo Scompiglio)and all the locals were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would certainly stay there again.

Great location. Comfortable and historic villa.
We have just left Villa Cimavorno after a wonderful two week vacation with friends. Seven of us traveled from Australia for a long planned holiday in Tuscany. This was a perfect location for us. The Villa itself is apparently the oldest villa in the valley (according to locals). However, it has obviously been recently renovated and was very comfortable for us: most bedrooms had their own on-suite, reliable hot water and great showers, it has a well appointed kitchen / dining room, TV room (rarely used by us - there far too many interesting things to do in Tuscany) and nice lounge room. However, the best thing was the location. It is situated in a lovely wooded valley about 12 mins south of Lucca. This served as a great base for exploring Tuscany. In the 2 weeks we managed day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre, Siena, San Gimignano, and Garfagnana. Some of us also managed to visit the Vespa museum! Those having lay days seemed to enjoy lounging around the pool and gardens at the Villa or (for me) going for walks in the surrounding hills (walking trails can be found via openstreetmaps - topo/cycling layer).
There are two nice restaurants in the village of Vorno, about 15 minutes walk down the road. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. Perhaps the highlight of our time was the Tuscan cooking class we arranged through Sylvia (owner). She arranged for Alexandra to provide a cooking class for us. Alexandra brought with her a wonderful array of local ingredients and home grown produce (including bottles of her own vino). We all had a great time. Hopefully we will remember some of what she taught us when we get back to Australia.
I would not hesitate to recommend this Villa to others.

Great Vacation in super nice village Vorno
Dear Silvia, thank you for giving us one of the best vacation experiences ever. We had a great time in you house. The Vorno village was just perfect for the best Pizza ever "la Bimbotta".(just 5 min down the road) and we could easily go to Lucca in 15 minutes. The pool was big and our children (6,10,14,15,17 years old) had really fun playing, jumping and diving in the pool. The garden offered Lemons, herbs, and we also had the best DRINKING WATER ever from the nearby "river". The house is really perfect for 2-4 families, and if you are looking for the real Italian experience rent this house!
Thank you sp much for your hospitality.
Best Regards
