We had a lovely holiday
We had so much fun in l’escala
The apartment is more than perfect. Pictures give a realistic image of reality. The apartment was very clean upon arrival.
Bed sheets, bath towels are at your disposal and freshly cleaned.
Apartment is quiet, no noise from the neighbours, but there is a big intersection not far away where you hear the heavy traffic
The vents in each bedroom helped keeping us cool during the hot nights
Commun pool is clean and more than welcome during the hot summer days
It’s a pity there’s no WiFi
Beach is a lovely 10 min walk. The old town is about 20 min walk. A beautiful coastline walk
Multiple supermarkets are located close by
Don’t forget to take something with you against mosquitoes and their bites

Glorious apartment on the Costa Brava
Our third and best stay by far on the outskirts of the pretty town of L'Escala. We had a fantastic apartment for a very reasonable price. We are a family of four but the apartment slept up to 8 people . The bonus for us was a private roof top terrace with a built in BBQ which was fantastic as we eat in on several occasions making the most of the glorious Summer evenings. There was a lovely, clean communal pool in the enclosed garden which we used every day. There was a 15-20 walk into L' Escala which was fine once it had cooled in the evenings with stunning views of the coast line to make the walk more pleasurable. We had all the necessary amenities nearby such as one large Supermarket just across the road selling everything needed. Fresh fish, bread and wine being a must! There were also two other smaller Supermarkets nearby as well as a large winery selling wine from the barrel at great value! The nearest beach was a lovely stroll of approximately 10-15 minutes with a beach cafe and toilets though no sunbeds, we bought our own parasol (which more than paid for itself) which we left in the apartment.Further on there was a beautiful beach with two cafes near Sant Marti where you could hire sunbeds and a shade for the day. We opted not to hire a car but took the service bus to Figueres home of Salvador Dali. The journey was an hour each way. Pay on the bus but make sure you buy your return ticket at the station when you arrive. Figueres is a lovely, large town with great shops and buildings of historic interest. Excursions can be booked in the town of L'Escala through the Tourism Office in advance. For children, teenagers and fun loving adults a trip to Aqua Brava is a must! Even if you don't particularly like the rides, you can hire a sunbed for 3 euros and sit with a book all day. You cannot take your own food here. There are plenty of burger bars etc on site. Cadaques is also very pretty. In the past we have taken a boat there from the harbour in Riells which is a good walk from L'Escala but pleasant enough to do early morning.Overall, I would recommend booking this apartment . The owner was very helpful and answered any questions I asked. There is no wi-fi but I ordered a TEP before leaving the UK which proved priceless with two teenage boys who love social media!
