Traumhafter Garten und sehr geräumige Wohneinheit

sehr netter Gastgeber mit Tipps für die Umgebung, schöner angelegter Garten, Küchenzeile mit Mikro vorhanden, Frühstück konnte man sich selbst zubereiten (Zutaten dafür gab es im Kühlschrank/Schrank). Sehr geräumig und gemütlich. Ruhige, entspannte Lage.

Why stay anywhere else?

It was so comfortable and tranquil, exceeded all expectations. The b&b was tucked away in a quiet location away from the city centre, with easy access to town by car. Everything we needed was supplied and the hosts are friendly and accomodating. You can tell a lot of effort is put in to keep standards high.

Nothing! Just hard to leave as we could have stayed forever.

The most wonderful place to stay a few days!

Beautiful unit on the ground floor with separate entrance. Comfortable bed with plenty of warm blankets. Continental breakfast provided with fresh fruit, butter, jam, cereal, yoghurt etc. tea and coffee or hot chocolate. Apartment was sparkling clean, as was the bathroom. The gardens are spectacular

A perfect home in New Plymouth

One steps into the wonderfully comfortable apartment from the adjacent beautiful garden. Everything is spotlessly clean, the bed is luxurious and a great selection is offered for breakfast.

Perfect Retreat

We think this is the best B&B we have stayed in, in NZ

The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, juices, Yoghurts,cereals, and breads. Plenty of milk & butter. Walking tracks close by and the town was only an 8min drive away with plenty of restaurants to go to. The hosts were very friendly and the property had lovely gardens

A little bit of paradise

Just fabulous! Shane and Mel have created a little bit of paradise. Beautiful setting in the garden of their home with its own access. The accommodation is beautifully presented with lots of extra touches to make you feel at home. The breakfast was great and very generous. Their garden is amazing and we were invited to look around and use if we wanted. Sadly the weather wasn’t good enough during our stay.

Highly recommend staying here

We liked everything about the property - the apartment, the breakfast and especially the garden. The steps to the deck were a highlight - in the sun and in the evening with the lights. Sublime.

A gorgeous BnB in a really lovely setting. Well appointed with tasteful and comfortable furnishings.

Our stay and Sequoia Steps was amazing. Mel and Shane were perfect hosts and our every need was accommodated for. The B n B is well considered and catered for and the breakfast provisions are generous and delicious. The setting is gorgeous and Mel and Shane's passion for gardening is obvious. The setting is so serene where your morning alarm is the birdsong. Its a great endorsement when the wild life love it here. We are not over exaggerating how nice this place is to stay. Thank you again.

The breakfast was excellent and very generous. The furnishings were beautiful and relaxing.

The movement from upstairs could be heard in the bedroom which woke us up around 6.00ish in the morning. Maybe a seat outside to enjoy the garden.

Amazing property

A warm welcome from Mel and Shane who showed us both to our room and the amazing gardens. Our bed was super comfy and the location is far enough away from traffic to only hear birdsongs. The kitchen was well appointed and there was a great choice of breakfast items. Everything is modern, new, immaculately clean and comfortable. We walked to and from the Bowl of Brooklands and this would be our number one choice for any future stays in New Plymouth.

Wonderful and relaxing - felt like we were well looked after.

Location - amazing, a real bonus to be able to walk and cycle (bikes supplied with thanks!) into the CBD via the Te Henui walkway the entrance is just a couple of minutes walk/cycle from Sequoia Steps. Hosts - Shane and Mel always go the extra mile and have thought of everything and provided it. The room etc was spotless, tasteful, and set in a beautiful and serene garden.
