We would stay there again. Thank you.

Supper was good. The owner and staff were all friendly. We had an early start so did not have breakfast.

It was a place of interest. It would be great to know about why the pub was called what it was. Everything was great.

Staff were friendly and obliging. Bar and dining area was warm, cosy and welcoming in the winter conditions.

Position and food great but we thought the room was very expensive.

The location was excellent and the food could not be faulted. Excellent menu.

Old fashioned mis match furniture. No heating as boiler was broken although after complaining a couple of times we were given a blow fa heater.

I would recommend staying there,it was nice and warm very friendly

The breakfast was exceptional hot and tasty. Very friendly staff.

The accommodation allows dogs in the bar which makes it smell musky not nice when eating food

The room wasnt very clean, the towels were like cardboard, they were so rough. I thought it was very overpriced for what we got

Location was good.

Room service not available unless we asked fir things. Room was OK but could do with an upgrade even though its an old building I'm sure things can be improved for comfort of guests. Food was OK just portion too large.

Excellent hospitality in this genuine country inn

The breakfast, a full English, with ingredients sourced locally, prepared and served by the amiable Karen, was excellent, with as much toast and tea as you could eat and drink. Nice quiet location just off the Main Street. It's an old style, unpretentious and authentic country pub with 400 years of history and five comfortable rooms.

Excellent location. Pleasant but not large room. The size and condition of the bathroom let it down.

Location. The room was quite nice.

The en suite bathroom let our stay down. It was incredibly narrow, the shower water was intermittently hot and cold, and there was mould on parts of the ceiling.

Fabulous old pub in amazing location

My twin room was extremely basic, small and needed money investment! Expensive and expected to pay for breakfast on top!

An beautiful country pub, with lovely rooms and great food. Will most definitely be back for another visit.

loved the stay was near everything I wanted short walk to the Main Street & car park just around the corner

great spot . lovely pub plenty of character food was lovely, staff very helpful

great location for bars and restaurants with a car park 2 minute walk around the corner, we had a really lovely stay and

Great location

B &B cost £153. For that I would expect 5 star. It was not. We picked a night with live music, which we did not expect. It was 1.30 before all the noise abated.

Cosy pub very comfortable. Lively at the weekend with live music. Great location walking distance to the high steet. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The meal wasn't fantastic, it was OK, not awful. The towels weren't very white and felt like they had been boiled. Parking is a distance away, which I you're able is fine, but my mum can't walk far.
