About this bed and breakfast
Vaulted 10-foot ceiling, lots of windows, on a hill looking over 10 acres and the river, fabulous view, master bedroom with king bed, second bedroom with queen, large living and dining room, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, 1 1/2 bathrooms, balcony, washer and dryer in unit. Sleeps 5 people in total comfort. Close to Eugene, Springfield, and I-5. On the McKenzie River for fishermen and boaters. On a bike-touring route. Peaceful country setting. Totally private. Secure off-street car and locked bicycle parking.
Great for a weekend getaway, or a longer vacation. Perfect family venue if you are visiting relatives nearby or are here for a wedding in the area. It is a great place to entertain with a big kitchen, dining table for 10, lots of parking, and the deck, so party (responsibly ;-).
Pets welcome (small additional cleaning fee if there is a pet).
The Guest House at McKenzie Orchards is on two levels: the downstairs entrance leads to the lower level with the Queen bedroom and half-bath; the main living level is upstairs with a kitchen and bar adjoining the great room dining and seating areas. You will need to climb stairs to get to the main living level.
The great room looks out through sliding French doors to a 200 square foot deck with a BBQ grill and connects via a small hall to the King bedroom and full bath/laundry.
Note on cancellation: Usually we're "relaxed" -- 14 days, but June 2024 is going to be crazy with University of Oregon graduation and NCAA and Olympic trial track and field events, so our cancellation policy for June is "firm" -- 60-days.

Our week stay on the McKenzie river in this lovely, very comfortable guest home ( king bed and pillows and linens were very nice!) was terrific! Tom was a fun host and the access to the river is an easy quick walk or drive. We loved all of the windows and the deck with new grill, and all of the nature surrounding us! Thanks again for having us!

Stayed here for a couple of days while we were in town to visit family and go to the Duck game. The property was perfect, very clean, lots of space, great amenities and in a great location.

Lovely area just outside of Eugene. We loved our stay. The host was great and the property was idyllic. Country living close to the city.

A beautiful place to stay & 10 minutes from town. The property boasts a spacious 2-bedroom 1.5 bath barn-style guest house on a functional farm/Bed & Breakfast. The land is huge & walkable all the way to the McKenzie River. The pictures don’t do it justice. You will find the owner- Tom- as a kind gracious host. He even offered items from his garden & fruit trees. We stayed a week. Our fur kids enjoyed playing on the property especially on the river; they even chased a deer or two. The kitchen is perfect to cook our meals; it even has a griddle. This is open concept living at its best. The dining area is big & can accommodate a large gathering. The living space is equally as large with multiple comfortable seating options & a large 55-inch TV. Over the air channels coupled with Wi-Fi for apps leaves plenty of TV entertainment. From the couch, the McKenzie river can be seen thru the large patio doors leading to the balcony. The balcony is a nice place to relax; enjoy the sun; listen to nature; & view the stars. The main bedroom is big, cozy & very comfortable. We left the window open to fall asleep to the sounds of crickets singing. The main bath is also large & spacious with a washer & dryer. The second bedroom is downstairs & can function as a home office. The half bath is right across the hall. We will definitely stay here. We felt at home from day one as if we have been living here for years. Thank you Tom for this uniquely wonderful vacation experience. See you soon.

We stayed here with our two dogs (labs, not small dogs) We found the guest house to be clean and very welcoming. It was easy to relax and feel at home there. The house had everything we needed to make our stay easy and to cook what we wanted. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, and much more. Beds were comfy and we slept great. The view and property is beautiful. Tom greeted us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and checked in during our stay to make sure we didn't need anything. There is lots of places to walk on with dogs and boy did they walk and run and play fetch. We will stay here again in the near future. Added bonus it is country feel with only a short drive to town, and major shopping centers. What a gem!

We fell in love with this charming home! It was perfect for our family. We were so cozy, and the view of the McKenzie River was superb. The house is nestled next to a little creek that feeds into the river, and surrounded by beautiful, moss-covered trees. Lots of windows allow you to really take in the views.
The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need to cook a complete meal, and entertain a small group.
Tom the host was very responsive and helpful, and also unobtrusive. We were very comfortable, and will absolutely be returning. Thanks!

A true gem. Beautiful spot and house. Spacious with lots of light even on cloudy days. Wonderful views from the windows and an easy walk to the river, where you may just see some wild life. The kitchen is well equip, comfortable bed and great mood lighting. The hosts are friendly, respectful, easy to communicate with and add the little touches that make for a wonderful get away. Whether traveling as a single female or family this is a beautiful safe place to be.

Property owner Tom was very welcoming and greeted us at the door upon arrival. Rooms were clean and spacious. Kitchen was full stocked. Lots of space in the main bathroom. Location was quiet and secluded but short drive to the University or into city limits. Highly recommend, will be my first option when going to Eugene. Thanks, Tom

Wonderful describes everything about this place! The host, the scenery, the place, the location. It feels as if you are relaxing out in the country, but really close to Springfield/Eugene area. Tom was a great host, the house was clean and had anything you could need. We would love to visit again!

The house is very comfortable and cozy. All the amenities in the house are very well maintained. The river is just 2 minutes walk and there are many fruit trees on the property like apple, pear and peach. We encountered deers running in the orchard during our stay. Tom is a very welcoming host and he has managed the property very well. He was very easy to reach out to and was very helpful. He provided us with information about places to visit nearby such as Sahalie falls, which was definitely worth visiting. One thing which we felt could be improved is with the entertainment options on the tv, may be adding a chromecast or roku would make it easier for guests to cast on the tv. Nevertheless, the house is definitely a 5 star stay

The view from the second story main room and outdoor patio is spectacular. The house was spotless and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the WIFI worked without a hitch. There are lots of wildlife and birds to see and you can easily walk down to the river where you may even spot a frog or two. The hosts are very welcoming and ensure they are available if you need anything.

We recommend this vacation rental if you like comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen and light and airy rooms. Close to Eugene yet the country surroundings provide a tranquil retreat from urban hustle and bustle.

Springfield stay
My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful place to stay with our dog on a weekend trip to the Eugene, OR area and came across Tom’s place. Tom and his wife run a b&b on the same property as their vrbo and were extremely friendly and communicative throughout the stay. The house was spotless and very comfortable — everything you could hope for on a vacation. If we plan another trip to the area we will first check to see if Tom’s property has availability. Thanks for a great stay!!

No amount of description can do this house justice. It's just an amazing house, beautiful views, lots of birds, lots of plants and tree and not to forget the river! Oh my God, it's just gorgeous.
The house itself is well designed, ple ty of thoughtful touches, great storage space and useful amenities.
I am definitely staying here every time I visit Eugene.

All aspects, the perfect balance
This Guest House is far enough from the urban area to feel like a getaway, but close enough to Springfield/Eugene for shopping and supplies. The grounds by the structures are very well-kept and attractively landscaped, and a stroll around the property will take you on a fetching tour of a fruit orchard and meadow, a rustic mini-rain forest along a creek, oak stands, and of course, the shore of the lovely McKenzie River. The house itself is airy, bright and welcoming, with fascinating artwork throughout. It has everything you need to feel at home -- but luckily, you are the guest – and Tom and Karen are thoughtful, attentive and accommodating hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Guest House as it served as a gathering place for our family for a virtual graduation and a couple of birthdays (50 and 77 year olds), and also as a calming respite for us when the celebration events were over. Any future visits to the area, this will be our go to place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home. Tom and Karen were welcoming and there for everything we needed. The place was well appointed with everything we needed and close to Eugene so that we could visit with our son and his family, enjoy the city events and still relax at home.

The property is lovely and the rental was really nice. Coordinating with the manager was very smooth, even as the party traveling changed a bit due to last minute circumstances.

A little slice of Heaven in Springfield
My Dad and I stayed in the McKenzie Guest house for 5 nights, and we were delighted by both the property and the gracious hosts. The guest house sits at the top of five acres, along with a B&B that are both owned by Tom and Karen. My opinion is that the pictures do not the the property justice. The view is spectacular and the kitchen is a cooks dream. The set up is with one bedroom and the full bath upstairs and the second bedroom and a half bath down on the ground level, which worked out perfectly for our trip. The property is down a beautiful country road, but a very short drive from Eugene and Springfield. There is access to the McKenzie River, and we were delighted by the deer and wild turkeys we saw on a daily basis. Everything was fresh, clean, and of very good quality. I would definitely stay here again.

It is a very secluded, quiet property. It had a great kitchen. Beds were comfortable.
Owners on next door, but not too close. You don't feel like you are being watched. I wish we would have been able to explore the property more, but we didn't have time.

Perfect Serene accomodations to compliment UO Graduation weekend.
Tom kindly greeted us upon arrival to introduce us to the guest house. The home was even more beautiful than the pictures. This lovely property seems a world away but is only 18 minutes from UO and downtown Eugene. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Perfect for UO visits, cycling and rafting getaway, wine tasting....
