About this house rental
We've designed Watermark as a place you and your family can come together to relax and unwind. Our house is in the perfect location - close to the beach and the center of St. Simons activity - the Village and pier. Come and enjoy our beautiful, heated back yard pool. Enjoy a meal at our outdoor dining table on our large screened back deck overlooking the pool and landscaped back yard. With outdoor seating, outdoor dining, and the pool, you may never go inside! But when you do, the indoors is bright and open, with a large kitchen with stainless appliances, open to the dining and family rooms. The dining room can seat your full family, and the open living room has a 60" flat screen TV with cable and blue ray player. There are high ceilings and lots of natural sunlight throughout. The house has super fast internet (200Mbps speed) including a modern mesh network providing strong fast wifi on all 3 floors, the porch, and pool area - if you need to take a Zoom call or stream a few movies, you'll be more than able. And the house features a Peloton indoor exercise bike for your use.

THE SPACE
Bedrooms:
• You'll be comfortable in the master suite with its king bed and gel foam mattress, private en suite bathroom with his & hers closets, his & hers vanity sinks, separate tub and shower. The master bedroom also has a flat screen TV with HD cable and blue ray player, ceiling fan, and has its own thermostat so you can set your sleeping temperature however you like it. There's a Peloton exercise bike in the master bedroom for your use.
• The second bedroom on the main level also has a king gel foam mattress, ceiling fan, and full bathroom with a shower.
• Upstairs is a large bedroom with queen bed and high end mattress. Within that bedroom is an enclave containing 4 bunks for the kids. This bedroom also has its own digital thermostat and ceiling fan. There is an attached full bathroom with dual vanity sinks and shower.
• Then going downstairs to the first floor you have two more king bedrooms that share a full bathroom, both with smart TVs:
• The "Sunshine" room has a king memory foam mattress, ceiling fan,smart TV, and views of the pool
• The "Gray" room is similarly equipped with memory foam mattress, ceiling fan, smart TV, and pool views.
In addition to the living area already mentioned, there is a separate game room downstairs with foosball and board games - the perfect spot if the kids need to hang out apart from the grownups for a little while!
And if you need some peace and quiet, try the rocking chairs or swing on the front porch - a great spot for morning coffee and reading before a busy day on the beach and in the pool.
You can walk to the village from the house by going Right, through the park (with tennis and basketball courts, playground and Spanish-moss draped live oaks) and then Left, or to the beach by turning Left and then Right. Either is a 7-minute walk.
We have a 2-car garage and plenty of parking for up to 6 vehicles.

I stayed here with a large family group (parents, me and my husband and two kids, my sister and her husband and baby). Everyone told me how great the house worked out for our group. Everyone got their own space a bit away from other folks (sister and family downstairs, me and my family on the main floor, my parents upstairs) and there was a lovely huge open living space for us to cook and congregate in, also a lovely screened in porch where we ate dinner each night, and the kids had a blast with the pool. This property is a short walk from the village where you can eat out, visit the lighthouse, go to the miniature golf course & swim park in the summer. There’s also a nearby park with a great playground and tennis courts. We love being able to walk places and leave the car at home.

We loved the pool! We loved the spacious and well stocked kitchen! We loved all the space! We loved walking through the neighborhood to get into the charming town! We loved all being together in a comfortable home!

The house was not fully clean. Hair in the showers, dead cockroach on the stairs. Small items were broken - plug covers in the kitchen, downstairs door handle, toilet flush.
We were given the wrong internet log in so had no service for 3 days. The trash from the previous stay was full and not picked up till day three.
The outside area is dirty - not enjoyable to be sat out there.
The property and location are great. Management service were to slow to reply and there are just small things that need to be fixed or cleaned and it would be 5 star.

Needs a lot of maintenance! Was told we could use the two garages but neither opened, tried outside keypad and inside button. Was told maintenance would be right out to fix them but didn't show up. Outlets in one of the bedrooms didn't work, ice maker didn't work and had a hole in rhe bucket so when you opened the freezer ice fell out, ceiling fan in down stairs bedroom didn't work. While we were gone maintenance came to address these issues but nothing was fixed and never heard anything from Alex as to the outcome. Shower heads were awful and need to be soaked in something (CLR) to remove scale. Screen porch needs attention, filthy ceiling fans, lots of spider webs and leaves on screens that can easily be blown off between guests. Large area on door with paint peeling off, wouldn't take 5 minutes to repair. The pool walls and floor looked green, not sure if it was stained or algae, needs a good pressure washing. On a positive note, the house was nice, large kitchen, pantry for food, large island, big table for all 8 of us and a large comfortable screen porch for gathering.

We rented this house for Thanksgiving week with my in-laws and 2 nieces. The house is in a great location that is convenient to the beach and village areas. There is a very nice screened-in porch off the back that overlooks the pool and having the heated pool (extra $) was a great decision to keep the girls busy when the weather wasn’t great. We appreciated the abundance of board games to use when there was downtime as well. The house is large and spacious with plenty of room for the 6 of us although the bedrooms and bathrooms do have a strange layout. It was fine for 2 couples and 2 kids but would probably not work for multiple couples or families that don’t like to share small bathrooms and closets. Streaming tv and Wi-Fi worked great to watch football games and movies. Overall, we had a nice week with family and Lighthouse vacation rentals was quick to response and easy to communicate with.

We booked the property for a week long family trip. Total of 9 people ranging for 70s - almost 2. The house had everything that was needed plus some. Loved the majority of the rooms had king beds! The location could not have been beaten! Couple minute walk to the beach and downtown. Kids and adults loved to be able to jump in the pool to cool down or before dinner.

Watermark was just what my family needed. Conveniently located to the village, parks and the beach. Great place to relax and just chill. The pool was great entertainment for the kids and shaded a good part of the day. The management company was very responsive to anything that came up. Plenty of space for our family.

When searching for a summer beach vacation, it was important to my family to be together but for us to all have space to spread out when needed. This home really accommodated those needs! The bunk bed room was perfect for the kiddos downstairs & the rest of the bedrooms were very spacious. Perfect Getaway to Explore St Simons with my extended family
When searching for a summer beach vacation, it was important to my family to be together but for us to all have space to spread out when needed. This home really accommodated those needs! The bunk bed room was perfect for the kiddos downstairs & the rest of the bedrooms were very spacious. We enjoyed cooking in the lovely kitchen almost every night & playing in the pool during the hot days. It was a short walk to the beach & the main downtown area which was amazing! It's just a short walk or golf cart ride to everything from the beach to a local bistro. We loved the layout of the house which allowed us all to be together but separate when needed. The pool, beach and areas for play time for the kids were also just right for our family. There were some cleanliness issues which included the pool and pool area. The house floors also needed some deep cleaning. These items were discussed with the property manager and they are on the list for them to address. I saw in another review, comments about the refrigerator. Be mindful to not overload the refrigerator when you first arrive. That will effect the temperature of your perishables. I will say that even on our next to last day, beverages still just above cool. Now, we all know that in the kind of summer temperatures opening and closing has a direct effect. But I still feel like you may want to get a second opinion from a service tech. Lastly, I recommend that you do something about the front steps and how slippery they get even from a light rain shower. Some non-skid tape may be the perfect solution. My dad took a nasty fall on the day we arrived. It had just rained and even though he was aware of the slippery steps, he still took a nasty fall.
Everyone enjoyed their time on the island and we're already discussing plans for next summer and another family vacation.

Instead, the house was clearly not clean when we arrived and the utensils/cookware were dirty and overused. The refrigerator was cool at best. We had to keep most of our refrigerated items in the downstairs fridge. As for the cleanliness, our feet were black after 30 minutes of being there, there were questionable stains on the master duvet cover, NUMEROUS stains on the stairs and upstairs carpet, stains on the couches, and thick piles of dust that flew off the ceiling fan into my nieces pack and play when turned on. There were also opened bags of skittles and chips behind the night stand in the downstairs room. Not sure why we paid for a cleaning fee when the house was clearly not cleaned for us.
In addition, the management company was unfriendly and unresponsive. They asked for feedback after the stay, and it took them 2 emails and one weeks to respond. I then followed up to their email and have yet to hear back. Unless it’s a positive review, they don’t want to hear it.
