Beautiful property and location. We absolutely loved the accommodations - beds were extremely comfortable (which is not always the case). My family loved going downstairs for coffee or a pastry across the street. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer is that the shops opened up a bit later than we're used to (10 a.m. the days we were there) and closed a bit early (5-6 p.m.). It was mid-summer, which I assume is peak period, but I understand people want family time.

Beautiful area, lots do do within walking distance. Beth was so responsive and went over and above to make our stay perfect!! The market on the lower level with great local art shops, great pizza place, coffee and breakfast….we felt at home!

We enjoyed this condo. Great architecture. Very good location. Historical. Well decorated. Many ammenities. We will come back. Only issue was getting our luggage up to the room but I'm only noting this because of those who may have issues with stairs.

Not a place for short people. Couldn’t reach shower head or close and open some blinds. Good restaurants on property plus nice shopping. Close to fun things to do - sleeping bear dunes, wineries, boat tours. Would stay there again

This place was great! Excellent location, restaurants, coffee shops, bakery are all right there. Walkable to town, although a longer one, but you go thru the cutest neighborhoods. The ONLY negative was the 4th bedroom on the 3rd floor is only accessible through the Master bedroom. So, a little awkward if you’re not related.
That should probably be mentioned in the description. Other than that, the place was fabulous!

The condo was perfect for our group of 8 women, aged late 20's to mid-60's. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms plentiful (3), and the kitchen/dining/living space was perfect. Finding the best parking lot was a bit tricky and I would advise looking at a well marked map of the complex before arriving. There were a few stairs at the entrance but the elevator to our floor worked flawlessly. The kitchen appeared to be well stocked, but we brought our own pre-cooked meals and only needed to use the microwave and oven. We enjoyed browsing the shops on the mainfloor ('sidewalk sale' during our weekend!). We did not make a reservation for breakfast on Sunday and waited about an hour to be seated at The Red Spire, but food was delicious and our server was able to get a few of us in & out in time for our tour which was one hour later. Overall we had a great weekend!

This location is not only full of history and beauty but it is centrally located within Traverse City, close to shopping, dinning and the lake life. The apartment space is the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in with attention to details for travelers comfort, and needs. We didn't want to leave!

We had been on several tours of the run down parts of the hospital and always wanted to see how the rooms were after renovation. It was a great experience and they have been beautifally renovated. There is nothing more impressive then to be looking through the upstairs window at a massive spire during a rain and lightening event! Although, seeing a full moon shine upon the spire was quite the site as well! 👍👍👍

Spacious, unique, super clean condo. Large well equipped kitchen if you enjoy cooking. Many fantastic shops and restaurants in the building and within walking distance. Had a ghost tour and did a Zombie 5k all in one weekend. Traverse City has always been one of my favorite places to visit.

We rented three different condos and brought staff in for a company training/meeting. We all met in this condo for a night of Jeopardy (team-building event). Got a charcuterie board from The Cheese Lady and did the twilight tour of the property! It's the perfect place to stay in Traverse City!

We loved our stay and how unique the condo was! Everything was clean, easy to access and check-in/checkout instructions were clear as the building requires some detailed explanation to get in and out. Would definitely stay here again!

Condo was perfect for our family with adult children. Lots of space. Big kitchen and lots of family room seating. Just beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Commons. During busy times, it was hard to find a parking spot. The beds were all comfortable with the softest linens. It was quiet. We were wanting to eat at one of the restaurants, but couldn’t get in either of the Italian restaurants. I wish those before us had not spilled all over the stairs, that is why I deducted from the review

What an excellent property for our girls trip. All 8 of us can stay together and really enjoy each other’s company! So close to awesome dining, hiking, and shopping.

Such a cool spot!
You don’t need to be crazy to stay here (lol). Don’t let the mental hospital setting scare you - this place was wonderful. We had 4 adult couples and there was plenty of room for all. Unique and very cool amenities. Very well stocked kitchen. The linens were luxurious! Rooms were nice and cool during the day and evening. The buildings were fun to explore. Not too far from downtown. Would definitely come back here again!

Perfect Experience!
Our group of 7 women stayed here for a bachelorette trip. The place was better than expected! It was spacious, clean, and had all of the amenities that we needed. Gaining access to the room was easy once you figured out the elevator and door codes. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the building and an elevator at each entrance for convenience. The building was quiet and we never heard any of the neighbors. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent property for a group of 6. The condo is an experience in itself with the history and architecture. The place is very clean and well appointed. Everyone in the group was impressed! We enjoyed the central location to downtown, with room to spread out!

Really cool property
We had a party of 8 adults. Every room had a queen or full size bed. We had more than enough space. The location was great. There were shops and restaurants right on the property. The hostess was very accommodating. We had everything we needed. We definitely would stay again.

Family Reunion Wedding Shower
The condo was the family hub for a wedding shower weekend event. The size was perfect for the group of 9 to gather for games, meals, a Kentucky Derby event and lots of conversations and laughter. We utilized the winery and barrel room, the Red Spire restaurant, shopped in the mezzanine stores and basically stayed in the Commons area all weekend . Everything we needed was there. The condo was well stocked with essentials, the beds were comfortable, there was ample seating around the dining table and the television and Bose speaker were all pluses. We would recommend this property . It is unique and extremely comfortable.
