This house looks beautiful in pictures but don't be fooled like I was! It has been used as a sorority house for the last 4 years during the school year and they have ruined the home. When we arrived the house was dirty, it was also just open, keys were sitting on the dining room table, which is not the one pictured, in its place is a metal table that has cross beams going top to bottom running the length of the table, making no chair able to be pushed in, so effectively the table seats two?! The living room rug and coffee table are no longer what's pictured, the nice white linens in the photos have been replaced with thin blue fleece blankets that you can pick up for $10 a Walmart. Towels are stained and not near enough if you actually have "20" like it states they sleep. The "paintings by internationally renowned artist.." (aka the owner of the property) bleed on you, we had multiple guests ruin articles of clothing if they brushed against them, particularly a giant blue one (not pictured in the listing). Windows are cracked/broken throughout the home. The showers are covered in mold, there were no shower curtain liners, one of the many things we purchased at Walmart to make this stay possible. We had a shower leak from the second story and were unable to use that bathroom for the next 4 days of our trip. The bed downstairs was broken. while looking for supplies (kids games, trash bags etc) we came across tons of innapropraite items left by the sorority. Future Guests BEWARE

Listing takes liberty in "Luxury". However, the house is very spacious and comfortable. House is old and in need of repair in order to bring up to building code and rental basics. Appliances are nice, furniture is sparce & less than desirable. Bedrooms do not have the basics. Kitchen needs upgrades desperately. Great communication with owners.

We stayed here for week 12 of CASV. The house is huge. Easily accommodates 4 families with kids. Check in and out was easy. Property manager was great and was willing to help out with anything. This area has great historic homes and this is one of them. We knew going that this house was built in the early 1900s and appreciated the history and rustic feel. The kitchen is not huge but did the job - we did not eat in much because we were at the field most of the time. The dining room table was the focus point of many great late nights talks. Enjoyed our stay!!!

Positives:
- 5 min from CASV
- Good amt of space
- Window A/Cs works well where present
- Wi-Fi works well
- Mattresses in good shape
- Beautiful art work on the walls/tables
Negatives:
- house is ‘charming’ but VERY old…& maintenance appears to be bare minimum
- No A/C in living room or kitchen
- Most windows don’t open. This incl living room and kitchen that lacks A/C. Kitchen has ZERO ventilation.
- Drains in numerous bathroom sinks and showers don’t drain well
- bed pillows smell like other people’s hair
- Main dining table (different from table in listing pics which claims to ‘seat 12 guests’) is a cool piece of art (!) but lacks function due to odd side braces.
- No dishwasher
- No bathroom on first floor (other than apt bathroom)
- Hit or miss re kitchen supplies / amenities.
- The house needs a legit deep clean and SORELY needs basic TLC. Lots of dust (be careful if you have a dust allergy) cob webs, scuff marks, dings, chips, severely worn surfaces, rust, rot, cracks in walls and ceilings, water damage. Numerous burnt out light bulbs. I mention this because the home is described as a ‘LUXURY RETREAT’ and ‘ELEGANT’ in the listing. To be clear, there is NOTHING luxurious or elegant about this rental property. High turnover ‘churn and burn’ income property or frat house or bachelor pad more apt descriptions.
On arrival the home had been only partially cleaned. Floors were quite dirty…as in visible debris, and if I walked through the house in bare feet for an hour my feet would be black with dirt. (Rather than wear my shoes for the entire stay to avoid filthy feet I went to Walmart and bought slippers). The refrigerator hadn’t been wiped out. The cutting board was dirty. The dishes had only been semi hand washed (no dishwasher). The washer would leave debris on clothes and the dryer was out of service (this was a day before we arrived FYI with no solution provided or compensation offered…thanks!!). And throughout the property, many surfaces were dusty/dirty/smudged/not clean. The owner was ‘out of the country’ during our stay. I raised the cleanliness issue with the ‘property manager’, who promptly came to inspect, and returned, but not until the next evening, to swiffer the floors. And he ran the clean cycle on the washer. This improved conditions, but only slightly. He wasn’t able to provide a cleaning crew to do a more thorough job (‘that is something we only provide between guest stays’…but did you, really!?)

Great All Star Village Option
Great house, plenty of space for a large group. The location is prime….a quick 8 minute drive to All Star Village and within walking distance of Main Street and Shops in Oneaonta. Would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

We stayed for Cooperstown All-Star Village week. The beds were very comfortable. The place didn't have a smell, not musty etc. They have an outdoor grill. TV's, suggest taking a laptop or fire stick. If I ever come back to Oneonta, I will try to stay here again. Highly recommend. We have an amazing time!!

dream home for multi family use
Smelled and felt underfoot as good as it looked in the pictures. Perfect split up of personal and shared space for families sharing. One family asked for mattress make to buy their own. Outdoor space is a drawback but not really considering you walk to town! The kitchen was not equipped to really get down and cook for the amount of people it houses, but who wants to? It was lovely.

This is perfect house to share with many people, however it is old and was only surface clean.

Casa Bianca is perfectly located to All Star Village and downtown Oneonta. The 5 coaches’ wives of our baseball team,
with a few siblings,
were accommodated so well in this home! We had plenty of space to socialize or spread out! The beds had super comfy mattresses! The owner/manager had great suggestions of things to do when not at All Star Village. Also, when I asked if it was a traditional drip coffee maker vs Keurig, he made sure there were both!! I couldn’t recommend this property enough!!

Perfect for All-Star Village!
We rented this property with five other families as all of our kids were playing at Cooperstown All-Star village. The house is perfect - lots of room, very clean, about a 2-mile drive to the all-star village. Loved the attic - 4+ futons with air hockey, foosball and a workout area. Karim is awesome. He gave us a tour, left a welcome package of pastries and other goodies. He is close by if you need him, but will only stop in if you call him. Has great tips for restaurants in town too. Karim has added a nice little barbecue area too off a big kitchen. Neighborhood and neighbors are just fantastic. I can’t recommend this house enough. Thanks Karim - worth every penny!

Beautiful newly renovated home.
My extended family stayed in this lovely home for a weekend. We were in the area for a family reunion. The home was spacious with room for everyone. It was newly renovated. Everything was clean and beautiful. Tastefully decorated. The artwork was gorgeous and inspiring. In walking distance (2 blocks) of the center of Oneonta but on a very quiet street. Would highly recommend this lovely home.
Cannot say enough good things about the owner. Top notch communication from the start.
