"Thank you so much for hosting us! We had a fantastic stay at your property. Your attention to detail and halloween arrangements made our trip v special. The property was clean and comfortable, and we all really appreciate its massive lawn, BBQ dome, outdoor fire place(though v didn’t use it), fully equipped kitchen, neat and tidy common places. We would highly recommend your place to others. Thanks again!"

We found the property spacious, comfortably furnished and exceptionally well-equipped for a family with two babies. We loved the large garden with four seating areas, great hot tub, brilliant egg barbecue and children’s play equipment. The house is conveniently positioned for Swanage, Corfe, Wareham and the Studland beaches and we liked being able to walk to the steam railway station and local shop. Debbie was very helpful. Our only gripe was the dishwasher which wasn’t working properly due to some broken parts.

Overall this is a good property. However, it is a little tired and unloved. The bedrooms were light and airy and had everything you needed. However the shower area in the main en-suite was very dark with a poorly fitted toilet seat and shower head. The kitchen was well appointed and again provided everything you needed. A lot of the bells and whistles did not function though. One oven was broken, huge fancy coffee machine not working etc. The house can accommodate 7 adults but the main table only accommodates 6 and so does the lounge. This means people are segregated rather than it being a nice social area. The furniture was functional and the tv offering Netflix etc was great for the age range in our party on rainy days. Garden is a bit neglected, didn’t see hardly any wildlife except for a couple of pigeons. The garden furniture was good and the bbq fabulous. Lovely area for young children too with swings etc. Nice hot tub which seems at odds with the push towards being eco friendly. Lots of rubbish around shed covered in brambles and a garage full of tat, if cleared it would be a good spot for the cushions strewn in the laundry room. Not great kerb appeal - first impressions were a drab looking house that needed some attention. I would check the garden for poop as there were a few left by the previous residents dog. Generally a good place but I wouldn’t stay again unless some investment was made in sprucing it up- in which case it would be worth paying more for!

All facilities, great location, clean, roomy and very cosy. Very tastefully appointed, great comms. AND there is of course the hot tub!

The instructions we very clear and through whatsapp available when and if needed.
House was clean good quality bedding, nice hot tub and garden furniture. Location was good for Swanage and surrounding areas.
If wanting to go to that area again, I would book there.

The house is large and well equipped for everything you would need. Communication with hosts is good and there’s lots to do in the local area 😀

A good holiday in Dorset
Overall a great week - the weather certainly helped.
The house was spacious enough for 7 adults and 1 child.
Located about 8 minutes drive to Swanage and 4 minutes drive to Corfe.
The bedrooms were comfortable and we'll equipped.
We made good use of the garden, gas BBQ and hot-tub.
The only downside was the kitchen. The dishwasher racks were broken so it was difficult to balance plates up.
The metal draining board by the sink was rusty so we had to move that into the utility room.
There wasn't enough bowls to serve all 8 of us at once - luckily we had some of our own picnic ones.
The was a very sort power-cut early one morning. This caused the fire alarm to beeb when the power came back on. The owner sent me instructions on how to reset the alarm - which we didn't think was our responsibility to resolve.
Overall - 8 out of 10

I wasn’t going to post a review since I was under the impression that the issues that we experienced during our week in August had only recently occurred and were outside of the owner-managers control. But now I see reviews relating to bookings that were before ours and I realise that the problems had been reported by prior guests and could have been dealt with but weren’t. If the owner is just ignoring complaint after complaint about the same issues that is entirely unacceptable. So here’s the problems we had many of which appear in previous reviews;
A sticky residue on a lot of surfaces where cleaning product had not been washed off – we had to reclean
No welcome/information pack was provided
No working wifi for 4 days
The property was advertised as having ”Satellite or Cable TV” – it was basic Freeview
The outdoor play equipment was damaged/dangerous
A sideboard filled with “games” contained jigsaws with missing pieces, a broken Connect 4 game, an incomplete pack of cards and various other pointless tat.
The TV remote controls in the living room and master bedroom didn’t work
We had no gas BBQ for 3 days, the replacement which was an ancient rusty charcoal BBQ
4-slice toaster only worked for 2 slices and barely that
Without instructions we couldn’t work the coffee machine
Downstairs shower/WC door didn’t close
Upstairs shower didn’t work properly
Toilet seat in the master bedroom ensuite was broken
Outdoor seating was completely unusable – the seat covers were filthy and mouldy
Outdoor areas hadn’t been swept – piles of dirt and leaves under table, clearly accumulated over a long period of time
Roof terrace filthy and again unusable
Freezer part of the 2nd fridge freezer didn’t work
Outdoor parasol was broken (this was mentioned in a review from August 2018).
The rubbish bins outside were overflowing and filled with maggots when we arrived, with the next bin collection not due for 5 days! And offer by the owner to collection rubbish never transpired.
Overall the house felt grubby and uncared for and the entire experience very amateurish – neither of which I would expect for the high price we paid.
On top of which it took a lot of emailing/texting to get a response from the manager both before and during our visit, I would avoid this property until they sort this stuff out.

We felt very unwelcome on arrival. No-one to greet us. No instructions on how to get in. Noone answering our phone calls. We had to break into the back door.
Still to this day haven't recieved my 'welcome email' as promised.
When we raised issues, rather than resolution the owner said we can end our stay and find somewhere more convinient. Not the customer service we expected! And absolutely not an option for a family of 10 during the summer holidays!
The house was quite dirty when we arrived. We had to hoover, dust everywhere and wash the sofas in the living room. That could be improved.
The worst of all, the garden isn't fenced all the way around. Our dog escaped one evening and was incredibly close to being hit by a car on the main road.
The location is amazing, the house very big and well equipped. It's a shame the service didn't add up.
It seems a few reviews are the same so the owners need to take some more care and listen.

Clean, quiet and large, spacious house and rooms. Big garden, with a fantastic hot tub. Our only gripes were that the kitchen pans, crockery etc. needed cleaning on arrival, possibly because there was little in the way of washing up sponges etc. Nevertheless we had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic holiday! The house was great, very well equipped! Great location as well
The house had all we needed and was perfect for both the children we had with us and our elderly parents! We loved the hot tub!

Spacious home from home with attention to detail
Myself and family recently stayed here and we were not disappointed. We've historically stayed in Swanage but wanted something a little more spacious and modern. The house is decorated and all the small things were taken care of - tea, coffee, toiletries. Means a lot after a long trip. The garden is large and along with the hot tub, it was ideal for those lazy days in.
We could hear the traffic from the busy road, but we soon got used to this. The outside umbrella was torn due to previous bad weather. We spoke with the owner who said this was being replaced soon.
However, these minor negatives did not take anything away from a lovely stay.
Thank you for making this a special family holiday. Look forward to staying with you again next year.

Fantastic everything you need is there , beautiful house and garden
I would stay again infact I think we will be booking for next summer, lovely spacious house well equipped they have thought of everything
4.2
Lovely house and ideally situated
This is a lovely house and was ideal for 2 couples and two other adults given the four rooms with 2 ensuites. It was warm and really well equipped, particularly with dishwasher, freezer (in fact two!), a laundry room, but also soap and shower gels etc in bathrooms, and in the kitchen were dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, as well as tea, coffee and salt and pepper! Beds were comfortable as well. It was ideally situated for the 4 of us who were walking in the Nordic walking festival being central to Swanage and Corfe Castle and the other places we needed to get to each day. The dining area and sitting room was large enough for us all to sit in comfort together. The house was clean and tastefully (and recently) decorated, and with a lovely garden (sadly not used by us). The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake for us after a long day of walking!
Only slight niggles were firstly that there was no lock on main bathroom door and 2 unrelated adults were sharing it, and secondly, the outer door to the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was no longer there meaning the bedroom lacked privacy for the couple in that room. They also had trouble in getting their shower to give really hot water although in the rest of the bathrooms upstairs there was no problem.
Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to come again.
4.2
Great for a family
Very clean and spacious. Ideal for the five adults and two children in our extended family. Two ovens was a great benefit as was the large washer and dryer. Good garden space and lovely hot tub a bonus..
