Rural setting within easy reach of major road network and towns. Beautiful countryside and seascapes within a few miles. Tempo cafe in Ballysadare was excellent, only a mile away. Hosts could not have been nicer.

Everything - this spacious bungalow definitely feels like home from home. Beautiful quiet rural location and yet close to major road to Sligo. Stunning views - the sort of property where you could easily spend a whole week and feel totally relaxed. Dog friendly and though the extensive garden area is not enclosed, there is plenty of green space to walk the dog. The very spacious kitchen dining area has a real fire and is well equipped and super comfortable so we did not even bother with the equally homely lounge.
The hosts live next door and are extremely helpful but not intrusive at all. The hostess had prepared sandwiches for us and cake and biscuits which we did not expect at all and which was very welcome after a long day travelling. During our three weeks travel and staying in ten different self catering accommodations- this was definitely the best .
Absolutely nothing - wish I had booked a longer stay.

Asukoht keset loodust, samas mitte kaugel külakesest ja Sligo linnast. Haned, pardid, kalkunid, lambad, eeslid. :) Autentne Iiri kodu koos kõige vajalikuga, mida rahulikuks (pere-)puhkuseks soovida. Perenaine Ann oli väga hoolitsev ja oli valmistanud isegi võileibu.
Meile meeldis kõik.

It was like a dream. We called the owner and then followed her directions to the cottage and she had the keys ready!

It's very hard to express how warm and friendly our welcome was. The host, a very nice lady, left homemade sandwiches for us on our arrival. Also, we found apple tart, milk, butter, bread, and biscuits left for us on the table. We had a feeling that we were coming to visit our parents or grandparents. It was a very warm and nice welcome.
The entire cottage was so clean that you wouldn't find even one piece of dust in it. The bathrooms, kitchen, and rooms were spottless. The beds were very comfy. Good-quality bed linen and duvets made our sleep perfect. The surrounding area was very quiet, so if you stay here, you will have a really good rest. I definitely will come back to this house. it's the best stay I ever had.
There is nothing to say in this part.

A beautiful country base to explore sligo, with beautiful views of the mountains. The property is conviently located near the main routes to the north west and not disturbed by traffic .The facilities are excellent for self catering and the hosts who live next door are very helpful in a charming way. There is a nice ambience here and we will be returning.

Beautiful location. Easy access to all main roads for exploring.
The cottage was perfect, home from home with everything we needed and more.
Tea coffee milk biscuits, cereal and a large plate of sandwiches were waiting for us when we arrived.
Ann and her husband were perfect hosts, even helped us when searching for our ancestors. Made us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Nothing we didn't like.

It was very clean with all of the appliances and household materials needed for a long or short stay.
The host had also generously made us sandwiches, cake, bread etc. and even had both fires (kitchen and living room) ablaze on our arrival. We had a choice of log fire or easily turn on the central heating both of which warmed the whole house quickly.
The house was very practically located if driving by car with the motorway nearby and the city center 5 mins away. There were also plenty of walking trails and beaches within driving distance.

We really enjoyed staying there. We were looking for a nice escape in the countryside and this cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Anne and her husband are really nice people as well! They have Donkeys, chickens and a nice dog! That was a plus to have animals around. The location is perfect for people looking for a 'nature' trip. We don't drive but we walked everywhere and that was really pleasant!
Sligo is not sor far and I recommend the walk to Maeve's grave!

Good instructions for finding it, and hostess Ann there to meet us She had an extremely generous welcome pack, including delicious homemade sandwiches. The semi detached accommodation is furnished to a very high standard with a good, spacious kitchen and a good bathroom.
It is situated semi rurally, with a small town nearby to buy necessities, and Sligo is an easy 10-15 minute drive. Very handy for the Yeats trail, and some of Ireland’s impressive pre- historic monuments.
Hard frosts while we were there, so it was very scenic, but we were always warm.
Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful.
Very highly recommended.
The Sykes system of not allowing email communication between host and guest. It was very annoying to have Sykes resend the original booking confirmation every time I asked a question. This would deter me from using Sykes in the future.

This was a self catering stay but the Host, Ann, left a generous hamper of food which meant I did not need to go out shopping as soon as I arrived
I liked everything about this stay

From the second we arrived everything was perfect. The welcome, the sandwiches, the fire lit, the messages got in for us and the hand sanitizer!!! The safety measures taken for our toddler and the welcome after a long day travelling was great. The farm is lovely and the eggs are delicious!! A bit of paradise in beautiful Sligo. We will be back soon.
