Nice quiet hostel

The place is nice, really quiet and the installation are clean. I was in the sharing room, good AC. Only hot water in the shower is missing but honestly it did not matter to me. There is a kitchen to make tea and coffee which is really nice and you be comfortable in the leaving room area or small balcony. The personal is so nice, the cleaning lady and the girl at the reception had such a good energy and was really flexible with my check-in/check out, as I had some immigration paper to do. I loved the fact that all the money goes to help people with addictions. When I have to be in Colombo, I’ll go back there, no doubt!

Great value for money and fabulous location

I have stayed here before. The hostel has been recently refurbished and updated. The furniture and appliances are comfy and modern. The rooftop dining area is spacious and well-ventilated.

One of the two toilets in the shared female dorm was not functioning. This was not a huge issue since it was just two of us in the dorm, but if 10 females had to share 1 toilet, that would not have been a fun experience for anyone.

Habíamos reservado una habitación doble con baño compartido y como estaba libre la habitación con baño privado nos cambiaron a esa sin coste adicional. La habitación era muy grande, con perchero y una mesa con una silla. Había hervidor de agua, microondas, tostadora...

La nevera estaba súper sucia, supongo que en parte también es culpa de los huéspedes que ensucian y no limpian. Nos apareció una cucaracha en la habitación.

Мало людей, просторно, чисто, удобно. Если Вы не слышите будильник - можете пропустить встречу утром

Общие номера свободны, в одном из них было в сумме всего 1-2 человека. Хорошая кухня и обеденные столы, и тоже более-менее свободны. Есть общий балкон. Аккуратные, с хорошим потоком воды, просторные душ и туалет, все принадлежности в наличии. Хорошие кровати, рядом розетка. Сотрудник на месте и доступен, не надо разыскивать или ждать в очереди. При выходе на основную трассу в нескольких минутах ходьбы Havelook mool, где в том числе есть фудкорт, а также много кафе. Сбалансированная цена.

Сотрудник не разбудил утром в согласованное время несмотря на неоднократные согласования накануне того, что не надо забыть разбудить, сослался на недомогание. Был недолго - другие недостатки не успел выявить.

Staff was nice.

First of all, the place looks almost nothing like in the pictures. The sheets are very very thin and the AC is always very cold but without AC it's really hot. The bathrooms were not very clean. The wifi doesn't work when its raining. Also, they seemed to have failed to mention that the hostel is only one floor in a office building for a anti drug information centre and a ciggerette addiction centre. Therefore, you cannot smoke *anywhere* within the limits of the property, which means that at night if you want to smoke, you have to wake someone up to open 2 doors and a gate to go outside. It claims to be a budget room, but for the price, not worth it at all.

A good budget stay

The place is quite clean for a hostel, thr staff was nice and we had a good sleep. We would recommend it. But be aware it is a low budget place.

Its a little bit hard to find and its inside a drug and alcohol prevention center.

Best stay in Colombo

Best Hostel to stay in Colombo and actually a small percentage of the money you pay is going to fund a local NGO that fights against alcohol and drug addiction. That's a really interesting project and smart idea to raise funds. Props for Madhu for being very kind and ready to help for whatever problem I had. Studi <3

The AC was working.

There was no soap anywhere. Place is full of cockroaches, even in the rooms. Beds are uncomfortable. WiFi doesn't work in the room. They close the front door at 10pm so you can't get inside. They start construction works in the morning, so there was no water in washroom and very noisy.

Clean comfy hostel

Good location for our needs, close to colombo in 20min by bus. Good rooms with comfy beds, AC and fans, good small kitchen with free tea/coffee, very appreciated! I liked the fact that each room of 8 has its own private bathroom (wc & shower) clean enough for our expectations. And they had let us keep our car inside the premises.

Although it was past check in hour (booking said it was at 14h, and we got there at 17h), we had to wait for 20min till the room was ready. I had to ask for how long more should we wait (we had to get ready for a meeting across the town 1h later) and they prepared it immediately. I guess this wait could be avoided specially if we've past the check in hour. But the staff was helpful afterwards, so no big deal.

Very hospitable people, and a clean, quiet stay.

Very friendly staff who helped me out in several different ways to sort out the little issues that come in solo traveling. The rooms are very clean and quiet. I appreciated the security in the place as well. The fact that the place is completely sober - there is absolutely no smoking or drinking allowed - only increased the security I felt.

It's not a five star chain hotel of course, but that comes with the territory I think. All in all, excellent at the price.
