Lovely cottage close to the beach, well-equipped, and clean. Ideal for family holidays. Great location for walks and near amenities with a nice view. Highly recommended.

Lovely cosy cottage close to the beach, great for kids and dogs, had everything we needed, over looks the boating lake and close to fair arcades and shops

Property is lovely and in an excellent location. The weather was very hot so the fan in the top bedroom was great as was the outdoor patio area. Everyone enjoyed their stay and perfect for the dog.

We’ve stayed at Fisherman’s cottage a few times now and it remains as good as ever.
Wonderfully situated, quiet, peaceful back patio and should it get cold there is a cosy wood burner.
The pets love it too.
Thank you and we’ll be back soon.

The sun came out but it would have still been perfect if it had rained spent one complete day on the patio with a duck/geese choir in the background. We had a fantastic 3 night break and would definitely do it again thank you!!

This cosy cottage is close to the beach. It is easy to access and in a lovely setting.
The cottage was well equipped and very clean.
Would return in a flash.

Lovely cosy cottage a short walk to beach and Mablethorpe.
The cottage is clean and tidy and had everything we needed. One bedroom upstairs ( which were quite steep ) so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and one on the ground floor which is where the bathroom is. As there were just two of us and a dog we had no problem but for 4 adults it would be a little bit tight but probably ideal for a family with two children. The only downside was the parking. We had to unload the car and then move it . We were quite lucky to find a space on the road which was available due to it being out of season but not in use in season. Car park nearby which is payable from 8 am to 6pm . So free overnight but would have to pay from 8 am. The positive is great and we walked on the prom to Sutton on Sea one way and Mablethorpe the other.
Ideal if you want the choice of a holiday with both the fun of the seaside but quieter on a night.

My wife, pets and I had a wonderful week.
Perfect accommodation, everything we needed was there, weather was fine apart from one day of rain… but that wasn’t a problem. It was quiet, neighbours lovely and really well positioned for the sea front and the main attractions.
We hope to return soon.
Thank you Carl and Vanda

Generally we had good short time in this fisherman’s house, the place was well cleaned and managed. The house is equipped with brand new stove wood burner. Just bring your own wood logs as is hard to buy it around there. Very close to the wide beach with long of promenade to walk or cycle.

Lovely well presented cottage.
Perfect location, close to all amenities. View over lake was added bonus.
Highly recommend.

Honest review
I'll start with the negatives so we can end on a high.
On the first day of arriving the neighbour came round to tell us to ring the cleaner, rang and she said the gas man was coming to fix the boiler on the Monday so someone needed to be in the property so he could do his job. Now considering we weren't told the boiler was broken prior to arriving was frustrating and then on our holiday we had to be in for him to come and fix it 🤔.
So this meant for the next 2 days there was no hot water or heating good job the sun was out and there was a kettle to boil water. On the Monday the at 9.30am when this gas man was supposed to arrive and didn't we phoned the cleaner again and she then said oh you can leave the key in the key safe he's running late again no communication to us with this information untill we chased what was going on. The boiler was fixed for that day but then was broken again the next day and didn't work the rest of our holiday.
Other points to mention ...
There is a nice big bath but you have to look past the rusted broken cold tap and the mould all around the silicone if you want to enjoy said bath, the paint in the bathroom is flaking and hanging off the wall and there are broken ornaments in there and a cabinet with somones toileteries in.
The furniture in the living room is not as pictured there are no nice leather sofas but there are 2 small fabric sofas that have a very musty smell and are shredding on the material. The living room is also full of unnecessary ornaments 3 clocks in one room whilst enjoying your holiday is not required.
The garden area needs updating there are broken fence panels behind a post awaiting removal and then whilst we were there the cleaner came with her family unannounced one day to do the gardening. I understand these things need doing but we paid for this week for the property to be ours to enjoy?
The downstairs bedroom is a questionable double with the bed up the wall and radiator dangerous if it was working.
There is a picture listed of Fisher men so you aren't disappointed like my farther was please note you have to travel to fish it is not near the property.
On a good note the property was fairly clean and the upstairs bedroom is very large with a nice bed and dressing table.
It is very close to amenities the beach Is literally a 2 min walk and it's dog friendly.
There is a chipshop and put at the end of the road and a cafe on the sea front. The parking is close by and costs £5 per day.

Great Stay
Very nice cottage, great location especially for our dogs who loved the beach walks. Would highly recommend a stay, very clean and tidy.
Just one suggestion after putting the bin out as asked on returning the bin it was rather smelly. Would recommend a bin clean in the summer months

Lovely cosy Cottage.
We've had a 4 night stay at the lovely Fisherman's Cottage, The Cottage is well equipped spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We used the downstairs bedroom which with the downstairs bathroom and the two of us being of a certain age we found very useful, the upstairs bedroom is a lovely room. It was nice to cosy up in front of the woodburner in the evening. The Cottage is well placed for the beach shops etc with the bonus of Queens Park at the rear. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Fisherman's Cottage - shall definitely be returning to this one!
This was the ideal place for a week away from the stresses of life. Situated 2mins from the sea front made for perfect early morning runs along the seafront and late evening walks with our 2 labs. We were able to bike from the house to Chapel St Leonards along the coastal road.
A compact house but very comfortable, very clean with everything we needed for our stay. All in all a very relaxing week away.

Great little cottage
The cottage was perfect for our stay and has a great location for long walks on the beach with the dog. Plenty of dog friendly places to eat and drink. Could not fault it really.
My only comment would be to update the parking info as this is now £5 for a full day (not £2), but you can park above the car park on the road all day for free if there are any spaces. In addition, bin collection seems to be at 6.30am not 7.30am, but this just needs updating. Overall a great weeks holiday. Thank you

Everything we required was thoughtfully provided. Beautifully clean and ideal for the dog, too. We would return again, particularly out of season to explore further the beautiful coastline south of Mablethorpe. The weather turned very wet and cold but we were unable to access the central heating controls although the water was consistently hot. We have no experience of Log Burners. The Housekeeper contact number was out of date in the instructions so we felt vulnerable had something more serious occurred and only an automatic response to an email request.

Where do I start? Well first of all the contact numbers given belong to people who no longer work for Carl so we were left without any help.Day one arrived at the cottage to find paint peeling and obvious signs of damp. Couldn’t use the tv because apparently the previous visitors dog had eaten the remote! The place was cold so rather than sitting in the cold and gloom went to bed at 9pm the first night. The heating was coming on at random times during the night with a radiator just behind my head in bed so waking me up all night. I found the boiler and saw that the timer control just fell off in my hand. Tried to report to HomeAway the following day as there was no other contact but nobody seemed to be able to contact the owner. Eventually found a tiny scrap of paper on the kitchen windowsill with a name and number so rang that and found it was the current cleaner who tried to be helpful. We had also paid an extra £17.99 for internet only to find it had parental controls on it so could not access social media or anything else we may wish to.The third night was the final straw. Whilst making a slice of toast the electricity blew and we were plunged into darkness. No candles or torch to be found so once again it was bed at 9pm. Needless to say we called it quits and left for home after 3 nights instead of the 7 we had paid for. I’ve left it a couple of weeks before writing this to see if we would get any compensation for a ruined holiday or at least an apology but nothing! I have noted that on previous reviews the owner has said that he doesn’t recognise them as guests but let me assure you I was there, I have photos of the damp walls and screenshots of my payment details. I don’t usually write scathing reviews but feel so angry to be disregarded in this way that I feel I have to prevent others from wasting their precious holidays here.

Clean, tidy, well equipped, well positioned, cosy.
Parking away from the cottage is NOT an issue.....offload the bags and park the car, simple.. everyone in Mablethorpe was friendly. We really did have a stress free week...

BRILLIANT HOLIDAY !
We stayed here with our 3 year old grandson, cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Close to all amenities, its ideal for a family holiday, comfortable beds and good heating system. Only problem we had was we were charged £20 extra on booking for "dog cleaning" we didnt even take a dog ! and despite promises we still had no refund. But all in all - superb !

Cosy quacks big sky
We had a great time very comfortable cottage. Loved the ducks at the back gate and the peace and quiet. We parked on the road but did not see the walk to the car as a problem like other reviewers. It was good to be away from the sea of caravans at the other end of Mablethorpe. A good base for coastal walks and big skies. Not sure how it would be in high season but perfect break for us.

It Does What It Says on the Tin !!
Lovely location, accommodation spot on and all in line with advertisement. Very welcoming, kitchen and bathroom well organised. Loved the location between sea itself and small nature “reserve” behind. Helped that we had great weather (bright, sunny, if cool). Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful cottage by the sea
We had an amazing time celebrating at this cottage. The fire was lovely and warm and it was literally just up from the beach. Out the back was the boating lake which we could access though a gate in the back garden.
For our dog there were spare bowls for food and water and a towel just for the dog.
Everything was beautiful. The cottage was decorated beautifully too. Thank you for having us stay. We loved it and we will be back again soon.

Lovely cottage
The cottage was as advertised. The whole house was clean and tidy. The small garden to the rear of the house, lovely for morning coffee. Even though we stayed in November the house was warm and cosy. With one of the bedrooms being downstairs it is ideal for someone with limited abilities. Would definitely recommend and will use again. The only problem is that the parking of your vehicle is halfway down the road next to a car park. To park in the car park will cost you £2.00 per day.

Lovely cottage exactly in the position we would have wanted
Cottage was 3 minutes walk to the sea front, 3 minutes to the park & 5 minutes walk to the town centre & all the amenities, the ideal location with having 2 dogs with us. We couldn't have wished for better

Parking on a side road 100yds from cottage did not go down well with me.
The cottage also needs a new TV aerial the old one is hanging of the wall and reception is poor. The cottage meets most other needs.
