About this apartment rental
Brief Description
First floor apartment ideally suited for families with children. Fantastic location in Lagos 5 mins walk to fabulous beaches Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana. Stunning cliff top walks to Ponta da Piedade (the lighthouse) and only 15 minutes walk from the beautiful historic center of Lagos. The apartment has two double bedrooms; the main with a double bed and the second bedroom with two singles. It has all the amenities that are needed to enjoy a fantastic holiday - air conditioning in the dining room/lounge, TV, DVD player with substantial collection of DVDs/games etc.. WiFi is available, so staying in touch with family and friends is no problem.
The kitchen is fully equipped as is the bathroom with full sized bath with shower above, wash basin with cupboards beneath WC and bidet. The lounge and master bedroom go out onto a large balcony that overlooks the pool in this small, 10 apartment condominium. The balcony faces south east and so is perfect for leisurely meal times and relaxing in the sun. The condominium is fully gated and surrounded by hedges which allow for privacy. The apartment is in a residential area and is extremely quiet despite it being close to Lagos itself. There are many varied restaurants within easy walking distance and there is sufficient parking for the residents of the condominium.
The Area:
The apartment is a few minutes stroll from the lighthouse at Ponta da Piedade and offers easy access to fabulous sandy cove beaches which are ideal for enjoying a swim or snorkeling, the closest is Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana, both just 5 minutes walk. If your preference is for longer sandy beaches these are also close by at Praia do Carnavial and Praia de Porto de Mos. There are numerous great fish restaurants in the area Restaurante O Camilo, Restaurante O Antonio, as well as a host of others within a short walking distance. The historic centre of Lagos itself is only around a 15 minute walk from the apartment and offers great shopping and masses of different styles of restaurants both typically Portuguese and international catering for all tastes and budgets. Apart from the immediate area a 30 minute drive brings you to the west coast, which has a very different atmosphere to that of the south coast resorts. The west coast is the surfers coast; the waves are spectacular and the scenery glorious. Along the southern coast there are the small resorts of Luz, Burgau, and Salema which are well worth a visit.
The Apartment
As briefly mentioned, the apartment is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a great stay. On your arrival in Lagos we have a "meet and greet" service to introduce you to the apartment and answer any questions that you may have. This is included in the rental price. If you chose, a small welcome pack can be arranged for an extra charge of 20 Euro. Bed linen and towels, both for use in the apartment and on the beach are included. The house towels and bed linen are changed weekly when the apartment is given a quick clean. There is a box on the balcony that contains a variety of beach equipment, folding beach chairs, beach mats and toys for the beach.

We are Peter and Irena; we bought the apartment after staying in it as guests as we were so impressed with it and its location in the lovely town of Lagos. After living and working in the UK we decided to uproot and head for Irena's home region in Bavaria, Germany as well as living our dream of having a place to visit in the sun here in Portugal.

We spent the last week of August here and were very happy with the apartment. Communication with the owner and the local representative was easy and clear. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool is reasonably sized and well maintained, there weren't many people using it during the week we were there.
There is some building work going on nearby but it was not intrusive and didn’t spoil our stay.
We walked into Lagos town every evening, its a bit of walk but easily doable for most people. To get to a beach with deckchairs and sunshades we used the car, there are beaches in walking distance but carrying averything makes it more difficult. Parking was not a problem at any of the nearby beaches.
The location is great for the Portimao circuit also. I left my motorbike on the trailer in the cul-de-sac parking next to the apartment all week with no issues at all. It's a quiet area with little traffic.

We arrived at the property quite late in the evening but this was already known but the person meeting us (Jan) to show us in was rude and basically accused us of being hours late. She barely showed us anything and was gone. Not a good start.
The apartment is nice and as advertised BUT it is right next to a massive building site where a 5 star hotel is under construction. We should have been informed of this before booking.
The location is very residential with not many local bars/restaurants which means a 20 minute hike into the Old Town each evening. It is convenient for the beaches though. I would say car hire is pretty essential if you are staying at this apartment though we just about managed without.
We had an issue with 2 of the chairs on the balcony. One the seat had split and the other collapsed completely. Both seats seemed to be quite brittle due to over exposure to the sun which is fair enough. These were reported to the lady (Collette) and she came to see them the next day but they were not replaced for the duration of our holiday.

This was a very well equipped apartment that suited our family of 4 very well. Beautiful location close to Dona Ana and Camilo beaches and near the boardwalk to the lighthouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet condo, perfect location
It was a perfect spot to go and have day trips to beaches and/or exploring Lagos and then come home to relax by the pool and air conditioned condo. Clean and safe community for the kids. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each other.

Het appartement is helemaal in orde. Alles van keukenapparaten etc. is aanwezig. Heel fijn terras en zwembad. Het appartement ligt op wandelafstand van het strand en de ponta da piedade. Enkel het centrum was wel iets verder.

Familienurlaub am Meer in super Lage
Die Fewo hat eine super Lage: ruhig und doch fußläufig zum Meer. Die Ausstattung bietet alles,was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht (Küchenutensilien, schöne Weingläser, jede Menge Strandutensilien u.a. 2 Sonnenschirme,...). Auch eine Waschmaschine ist vorhanden. Der Pool und die Anlage sind sehr gepflegt. Zum Einkauf ist unseres Erachtens ein Auto empfehlenswert. Die Kommunikation sowohl mit dem Vermieter als auch Collette (Reinigung/Übergabe der Schlüssel) war hervorragend und super nett.Vielen Dank für einen schönen Urlaub :-)

gepflegtes Wohlfühlapartment
Die Anlage ist gut gepflegt und wir haben die ruhige Lage sehr genossen. Zum Strand Praia do Camilo konnten wir zu Fuß gehen. Auch die Ponta da Piedade ist gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Betreuung durch Colette, die uns Schlüssel übergab, die Wohnung zeigte und die Wäsche wechselte fanden wir sehr gut. Bei kleinen Problemen mit Fernseher oder kaputter Glühbirne war sie erreichbar und kümmerte sich zeitnah um die Erledigung. Wir haben auch ganz besonders den Pool nach einem heißem Tag genossen. Insgesamt ist diese Wohnung sehr zu empfehlen!

L'appartement se trouve dans une résidence fermée avec une piscine.
Il est bien agencé, il est conforme aux photos.il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer de bonnes vacances même la cuisine est très fournie(sel, poivre etc..)
Le centre de Lagos est proche 5minutes en voiture et le parking n'est pas onéreux.Beaucoup de commerces au alentour.
Ponta da Piedade se trouve à 10 minutes à pied et il y d'autres sentiers de randonnée.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

schöne Wohnung in super Lage
Haben eine schöne Zeit in Lagos verbracht. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Besonders die vielen Strandutensilien waren sehr nützlich. Nur eine "richtige" Kaffeemaschine hat uns gefehlt.
Die Lage ist super. Viel zu Fuß erreichbar. Tolle Strände in der Nähe.
Leider hatten wir drei Tage kein Internet, aber dafür kann niemand etwas.
Fragen wurden immer sehr schnell beantwortet.

Super Apartment mit schönem Pool
Unser Aufenthalt in Peters Apartment war sehr schön.
Das Apartment ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann.
Besonders der Pool und der Balkon haben uns gefallen.
Die Anbindung ist ebenfalls optimal.
Ob zu Fuß an den Strand oder in die Stadt beides ist möglich.
Mit dem Auto ist man ebenfalls schnell auf der Bundesstraße oder auf der Autobahn.
Entlang der Klippen gibt es viele schöne Orte zu entdecken.
Wir werden ziemlich sicher wiederkommen.

Sehr schöne, gepflegte und gemütliche Wohnung
Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Viertel von Lagos, nicht weit entfernt von den sehr schönen Stränden von Lagos. Da die Wohnung etwas außerhalb der Stadt liegt ist es zu empfehlen mit dem Auto anzureisen.
Die Wohnung liegt sehr schön,mit Blick auf den hauseigenen Pool und schöner Terrasse. Die Wohnung selbst lässt keine Wünsche offen. Genügend Platz, sehr sauber und eine Küche mit sehr vielen Kochutensilien. Es gibt weiters sehr viele Spiele, gutes WLAN sowie Fernsehsender in allen Sprachen. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war sehr gut und sie haben auch auf Fragen rasch reagiert. Die Schlüsselübergabe hat auch bestens geklappt.
Wir können die Unterkunft nur bestens weiterempfehlen. Gerne jederzeit wieder.
