Rooftop had a nice view overall its a good looking hotel. Room was nice and big though tea making area was very cramped which was awkward for making baby bottles. Breakfast, security and housekeeping staff were nice
Front desk staff on arrival were most unfriendly. Yes we were early but they seemed genuinely mad with me even though i apologized. In order to get access to baby changing facilities, ie the room, we had to pay a half day room rate.
One of the nights there was no answer from front desk so i had to go down to make a request to find the two staff just chatting and laughing. No apology on either occassion.
The breakfast staff were good but the breakfast itself was downscaled significantly due to lack of guests the first 2 days. I asked for cappacino on the first morning to which i was told it was black coffee only. Considering how much the breakfast was scaled back (which wasnt reflected in the rate) this would have been a small concession. But no heaven forbid the hotel be out of pocket by a few peso even though they were charging full price for a heavily reduced breakfast.
On checkout i was loudly informed i owed them money for a lunch in their cafe (which was charged to the room at the time). The tone was awful, any 3rd party would think i was trying to steal from the hotel. No mention of the deposit i was owed which far outweighed that lunch.
Also there was no dinner/bar option after 6pm on any night. Even though the rooftop is nice the railings are heavily rusted lots of sharp jagged edges so be careful if you have kids.
My advice to management dont worry so much about a few potential lost peso worry more about your guests being looked after. Where facilities or services are reduced, ie breakfast give a small concession back. Train your front desk staff...they need it badly.
My family will be regular visitors to Tagatay but not this hotel. You can thank your "non front desk" staff for the 7/10 rating they definetly pumped that up from a 5/10

Location is perfect. near to almost everything. What makes it more perfect and unique is that they have a grand piano
Parking is open air although that’s fine because it’s still inside the property

what made us choose this hotel aside from a very good location, is their grand piano because our son plays the piano, we love piano music overall. the exterior design of the hotel is beautiful and staff are so helpful and accomodating. the food is also good and I love how they prepare the tea and the iced coffee is also good, you don’t have to go out to have some good coffee and drinks. it’s worth the value. we would definitely stay here again someday
swimming pool is a bit small for my liking. mas maluwag pa yung space ng mga chairs and tables. sana kahit naadjust ng konte laki ng swimming pool.
4.5
Great location, lovely comfortable room with tasty breakfasts. The staff were top notch
The bathroom could do with being updated, but that's all
3.5
Large room, comfortable bed, complimentary coffee and tea. Helpful, attentive and pleasant staff. Basement parking assured me that my vehicle would be safe.
Too close to the highway. I could hear outside noise like motorcycles with loud tailpipes. Leaking pipes inside the bathroom, near the toilet. The first room had this problem so management gave us a new room. Same thing happened, this time under the sink. Bathroom had dark stains around the sink. It was a 1- night stay so we didn't bother changing rooms again. Resto is closed on week days so we ate out.

very comfortable bed, great location, good breakfast buffet, great staff.
Small pool, needs to be updated. Grout old and need cleaning. Pool pump to circulate water not running so did not go in due to it possibly not being sanitary. No walk in shower, tub shower, hard to climb in/out.

The reception did not even say thank you for staying and no receipt provided

The property’s location was very near the center. it was near the mall, convenience store, restaurants/ fastfood, banks etc.
The walls of the room are thin to such extent that we can hear the noises outside. I checked-in late due to the long travel and thus was able to sleep late. This is on a holiday btw. At around 8am, we can hear someone playing the piano from the lobby. My family and I were startled and weren’t able to sleep anymore after that, because it was literally too loud. We requested the front desk to either stop it or lessen the noise, but they told us that they can’t because the pianist was already paid. There were not many guests checked-in at the time either.
The breakfast options (buffet) were not much either. Not much difference if they went plated breakfast.
Lastly, no covered parking available on the property. Even if there were not much guests around, and we noticed that they have a basement parking, they told us it was not available.

location is excellent, the roof top viewing deck is fantastic. room was very big and comfortable. breakfast was excellent as were all the staff.
my only real criticism is the bathroom, considering the high price of the room, I feel the bathroom could do with updating as it’s very old, despite how clean it was there’s no hiding the fact that the bathroom is of a poor standard compared to the actual room itself, a real shame.
