This is indeed a cozy rustic cabin that I would use again. It was comfortable. Dog friendly is very nice. Close to the Greer eating establishments. Cleaning could have been better.dusty.

great customer service, the place we were going To stay had? plumbing problems, so they moved me to a different location, which was even nicer than the other location. They gave it to me. at the same price. Highly recommend staying there.

We loved this little cabin! It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. A bonus was the wood burning fire place. It was very clean and everything was explained well as far as check in and out. We will be back soon.

The pines and the fresh air! Great experience!.

This cabin was filthy. The carpet was gross and needs to be replaced. Dust and spiderwebs everywhere. And there is no internet. The owner asked me to take time to meet with Frontier. That is not what I went on vacation for. We wanted a cabin with internet due to owning a business and needing to check in at times. That was disappointing, didn't have it one single day out of 7 day stay. I won't be staying at that cabin again. But Greer AZ is beautiful.

The exterior of the property was pleasant but the swamp 10' from the front door, the grill would not hold itself open. The interior of the cabin was adequate but had its issues. The furniture was older but comfortable and maintained. The kitchen was WELL stocked but all pots/pans and frying pans were either greasy or dirty and need washing. Every thing else was clean and ready to use. The fireplace was fantastic and burnt well but it took us 30 min to clean the old ash to use it. We requested fire wood and it arrived in 15 min and was a large ammount. The bedrooms were dusty but clean and VERY comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but usable. The shower hose leaked all day long loudly and was so very small.
All the above items were not horrible and some were expected with a rental cabin in the woods butttt.......
When we arrived monday night the internet was mot working nor the cable channels that were listed in the advertisement. The dvd player was there with many movies available after many attempts and adjustments we were dismayed to discover the dvd player only played in yellow or red, buy yippee it at least worked. We reported these items Tues morning and someone did respond that evening and was told this was the worst cabin for internet and it was determined we needed a new box. Wednesday the internet company showed up in the afternoon tinkered with it and got the internet lighton but also said the box was bad. New b

Cabin was very good, with the exception of some cobwebs here and there and the bathtub faucet constantly dripping. Not perfect but, certainly not bad. My main complaint was that the wifi never worked. This means no TV either because my phone got no service. Day 1, we were told "it goes out, that is normal" and it would likely come back soon. Day 2, they send a maintenance guy out. He says it is the router, and nothing he can do about it. Day 3, no calls re turned, no wifi. Went to office and they promised a call back. Does this mean no wifi ever again? No call. Day 4, no calls returned, no wifi. Would certainly have rated higher if wifi had worked or one of my half dozen calls had ever been returned. Wouldn't have stayed there in the first place if they'd advertised it had no phone, no wifi, no TV.

If they tear out the old musty carpet and replace the fridge it could be so much better.

Clean cozy cabin in nice forest setting right in Greer and ~30' drive to Sunrise Ski
Reservation and reception staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Clean cozy cabin in nice forest setting was well equipped with updated furnishings.
Nice wood burning fireplace but chimney doesn't draw well enough to prevent some smokey smell despite a roaring well made fire (?clean chimney?) But don't really need fire with auxiliary heaters.
Very professional service personnel promptly took care of a blocked sewer line on a Sunday morning.

The Pluses: We love Greer, the weather was perfect.
However here are the minuses: The cabin is just okay. The cabin in general is run-down and the electrical system is overloaded at every outlet. The fridge began making a loud squealing sound in the middle of the night Monday - it is probably the fan motor going out. The fridge froze everything on the upper shelves . Turning the unit up or down is almost impossible. This unit has a very old and outdated bathroom - the sink is almost too low for a 5 ft 3inch woman to use. My 6ft 1in husband was almost on his knees to use it. There are non operating windows (can't open at all or cannot close and lock), there are literally no lights in the kitchen, and cabin door lock and strikeplate were non-locking. Plus for a 2 bedroom cabin there was 1 outdoor chair provided for our use. The cabin is listed for 4-6 people. Why would there be only 1 outdoor chair?
Our call for service on day 1 went reasonably well. Amy (owner of Cabin Butler) did provide us with 2 outdoor chairs to sit on the porch and promised service for the kitchen lighting issue by Saturday.
Late Saturday afternoon I called the office as no repair people had appeared and the office staff had no knowledge of a service call request. So we again requested a lighting fix in the kitchen.
Nothing happened Saturday or Sunday. Monday afternoon a gentleman (finally) showed up to look at the lighting. At this point we were going home Tuesday morning and frankly I was not willing to waste our last afternoon/evening with a repair of lights which were not going to benefit us at all.
On another note - the trails were blocked (at the end of the road) and that was a huge disappointment. There is no way to get down to the water/stream. There is no place to eat in the town unless you wait in an interminable line at the Rendezvous or sit indoors at Molly Butler. The bar is mostly closed at Molly Butler and that was also sad. With so little to do in town we probably will skip Greer and stay in Pinetop/Lakeside next summer.
Sorry about the downer review - I would definitely NEVER stay at that cabin again. Thank you.
