About this villa rental
This superb 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom boutique Villa, has wifi though out the villa and garden. Solar heated pool, games/cinema room, two sitting rooms, five bedrooms all with ensuite's featuring walk in showers. It has amazing views over the country side down to the coast, and is just fifteen minutes from the glamour of the beaches of Quinta do Lago, Dounas Douradas and Vale do Lobo.
There is a small,very friendly, riding school next door, which welcomes children of all ages, to ride, or groom the horses.
A heavenly setting from which to enjoy the nearby beaches, restaurants, nature reserve, golf, villages and fabulous shopping of the central Algarve.
This stunning house has the most wonderful outside space with large areas of lawn with lots of shady enclaves, from which you can gaze out at the sea and country views. There is a large pillared shaded terrace, which is perfect for al fresco dining, as well as a shaded outdoor lounge area, which enjoys views of the garden, pool and sea.
The large modern kitchen has sea views and leads out to the garden and pool. It is equipped with everything you could need, including a Nespresso coffee machine, an American fridge freezer with drinks and ice dispenser and large television and a second lounge area. The kitchen flows into the separate dining room, seating 10, also with sea views and French doors to the garden. It is a beautiful place from which to enjoy an evening meal with friends.
The main sitting room is a large Portuguese colonial style room, with French doors leading onto the covered patio and outside dining area. From here a staircase leads down to a cinema room.
The Master bedroom enjoys sweeping views down to the sea, as does the en-suite, which has a bath with a view, in addition to a large walk-in shower and its own terrace area. There is a second Master bedroom and ensuite. The remaining three comfortable bedrooms all have large walk in showers and king size beds, two of which convert into singles, if necessary, with French doors leading to the garden.
Casa Mandovi is just a 20 minutes drive from Faro Airport and just 15 minutes from the beautiful sandy beaches- perfect for families with shaded sun loungers for hire, water sports and beach bars.
Nearby the historic town of Loule with its colourful market is a wonderful place to buy gourmet delicacies, such as Algarve honey, piri piri spices, fresh fish and local produce. A perfect place to sit in one of its charming cafes and watch the world go by.
Mar Shopping Centre is a 5 minute drive away and has a Zara, Mango etc. There is also a designer outlet, cinema complex, Ikea and numerous restaurants.
The pool is heated with a solar energy cover and additional pool heating pump on request.

This was our second visit back to Casa Mandovi with three generations of our family and after three years since our last visit, it certainly did not disappoint.
Our two weeks here were spent enjoying the pool, relaxing on the terrace, enjoying family meals and exploring the many sights of the Algarve.
The villa is the perfect home away from home for a large group. The outside space is excellent for spending time together and also offers ample space to spread out and catch a quiet corner on the terrace.
Casa Mandovi is well appointed with everything you could need. Maddy and Richard were helpful hosts and were on hand if we needed anything.
The location is perfect for the whole family, close enough to the local towns, beaches and water parks with ample choice of excellent restaurants.
The views down the valley are breathtaking and were hard to leave behind when our stay came to an end.

We stayed at Casa Mandovi from 25th May 2024 – 1st June 2024. We were 5 adults and 4 children ages between 2 and 11 years old. Casa Mandovi is a stunningly beautiful property with a large garden and a warm, inviting swimming pool. The property has an outside terrace and a patio furnished comfortably and perfect for cool evening dining and after-dinner conversations. The bedrooms and bathrooms and large clean and comfortable. Most importantly Richard and Madeline are superlative hosts. Madeline was very understanding and accommodating considering we had 4 young children. She did not have to, but she did her very best to give us early check-in, heat the pool and keep it heated for when we came and she gave us a host of information on the best local supermarkets, eateries and beaches. She even offered to go to the supermarket for us and stock the refrigerator with essentials if we needed it. Richard responded to all of our requests promptly and came out to the property in the middle of our stay when we expressed a need. They were easy to contact, prompt and responsive to our myriad questions and requests. The children particularly found it very difficult to readjust to real life in the UK after having the most wonderful time at Casa Mandovi. We would love to go back and explore the area while staying at beautiful Casa Mandovi.

We were a family of 10 including 4 children under 6 years old. The house met our needs perfectly, all being on one level with lots of space for everyone. The house was spotless when we arrived and had a very relaxed laid back atmosphere. Maddy and Richard were perfect hosts and made us feel very comfortable.
Our memories will be of a relaxed holiday lots of sunshine and lots of fun with our family.

Madeleine and Richard were great hosts! Easy check in with lots of great recommendations for restaurants and area attractions. The house was beautiful and worked well for our family vacation. Casa Mandovi was the perfect house for us. The location is ideal. 5 minutes from downtown with supermarkets and cafes. We traveled to towns east and west and it really was perfectly situated for seeing the Algarve. The house is fabulous with a wonderful outdoors for lounging and eating. The views of the hillsides and ocean are spectacular. Don’t miss Bean17 in Loule. We had a hard time finding the perfect cafe with great coffee and it wasn’t until the last day that we discovered this gem. Another nice local place was Ambrosia, 3 minutes from the house. We had New Years Eve here and the food was really nice and Sylvia was a wonderful host. So much more to say about this wonderful area. I can’t wait to go back.

My family and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The outdoors and the view exceeded all expectations but the whole villa is tasteful, stylish and well equipped. It is only a short distance by car to excellent beaches and good restaurants. Fabulous.

This house was very special - it was beautifully furnished with superb gardens.
Anna greeted us and showed us around on arrival and was helpful throughout our stay.
There was a problem with the pool heating but, thankfully, the pool was still warm enough for our 4 young children.
A few minor negatives were :
- some photos on VRBO need to be updated as certain aspects have changed (e.g. there was no table tennis table and the shaded area in the garden had lost its roof).
- the guest book needs updating - it referred to the house by a former name and had out of date WIFI details.
- a pre-stay request to have 'black-out' curtains fitted in the children's bedrooms had not been passed on to Anna.
Notwithstanding these issues, we all loved the place and had a wonderful time. We would very much like to return.

We spent two weeks at this stunning villa. It really is spectacular and exceeded all our expectations. The setting is wonderful, breathtaking views down the valley to the sea.
The villa is a perfect combination of luxury and comfort with a stylish yet homely feel. It’s very well appointed with everything you could need.
We particularly enjoyed the pool, hours of fun for the whole family! To our delight we discovered the small roof terrace where we enjoyed several evenings watching a magical sunset.
The villa is well located to explore all that the Algarve has to offer. During our stay we went to Louie, Vilamoura, Tavira, Vale de Lobo and Faro to name but a few. The beautiful beaches are within easy reach.
The nearby town of Almancil has all you need for day to day living, supermarket, shooed, cafe, pharmacy. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby also.
Without a doubt the best family holiday we have ever had! We would go back in a heartbeat.

A fabulous family Christmas spent at this amazing villa. The property is well appointed and beautifully furnished with obvious care & love by the owners. Indoor space is ideal for family living and we particularly enjoyed watching a movie in the cinema room after a poolside barbecue on Christmas Day. Lovely pool, beautiful gardens and loads of outdoor space to relax in the shade or soak up the sun. Would highly recommend - it’s stunning!

We have just returned after a fabulous weeks stay at this villa. The villa and grounds are really lovely and we felt very much at home. The pool was also really warm so perfect for the children, we've been caught out with unheated pools in the past. Lots of nice restaurants and supermarkets very close by. Dano's sports bar and Aquarelle in particular we visited a few times. Heidi, was so amazing throughout, always in contact and at hand should we need her. Would highly recommend the villa. This villa deserves its five star rating and exceeded all our expectations. The party of 7 adults & 2 children fully enjoyed the week and did not venture away from the villa as it had everything you could possibly need in an idyllic location. All the rooms are large with super-king beds and their own en-suites and were beautifully decorated. The pool is an ideal size and was heated and all members of the party used it everyday for several hours in the beautiful sunshine. The villa is surrounded by beautiful gardens which are maintained weekly as was the pool. The views from the villa are stunning and the tranquil atmosphere just add to the beauty.All of this is further enhanced by Heidi the perfect villa manager who makes sure that your stay will be go without any problems. She arranged taxi transfers to & from the villa and the airport. Her excellent manual covers everything you could possibly want to know about the villa and also things to do and where to shop etc.We would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay in a relaxing environment with everything you could possibly want without leaving the villa.
