Absolutely perfect stay.

It was clean and comfortable and the location was beautiful. The staff is absolutely wonderful.

Beautiful location.

The location - in the lakeshore with views of the sunset.

Outdated furnishings. Had a hard time to find an outlet to charge phones The bathroom was not clean and I had to ask for shampoo

Would not stay there again.

Loved the location and traditional cottage feel.

Constant loud rhythmic tapping coming from the ceiling. Had a metal roof with an attic installed hot water system. Very difficult to sleep through. Check out staff was aware of the problem, but down played it. In need of upkeep with torn carpeting and funky painted toilet seat. Check in staff was very pleasant and helpful though.

Great location, close to lots of area attractions.

Could use a better air conditioner, it was pretty loud.

Great location, cute rooms and very helpful staff.

The view was amazing to wake up too. The staff were very friendly and very helpful!

The water temperature didn’t get very warm and took a while to get it warm. Being only a little shower stall with not very good water pressure, for me personally trying to shave, didn’t work out.

All in All we were happy with our stay and would definitely be a return guest.

Location was perfect, not far from all the attractions we wanted to experience. All staff were so friendly and helpful!. The view was amazing ! We really enjoyed our stay!

Was little disappointed that it did not have a beach in front. We realize that that it was not advertised but the pictures online are slightly deceiving that you are not able to swim at this location.

I wouldn’t recommend.

great location and the two young ladies at the desk were great. Great sunset!

Basically no hot water or water pressure! Entire place only gad 5 electric outlets total. Had to move a mattress out to reach the only outlet in bedroom for medical device. Bed had no support and front curtains were pieced together(3 sections) and didn’t close completely.

Nice location, comfy bed, good high pressure shower.

Overall cleanliness. Mold in bathroom/shower. It is outdated so price should be a bit lower.

Exceptional

View and outside seating by the water was exceptional. Amazing sunset views, peaceful - watching the ducks swim by and the waves lap at the sea wall.

Awesome location, crappy experience!

The location was awesome!

The staff, the room configuration wasn't optimal. The outlets placements were not where you expect to charge your devices. You could here the pipes throughout the night.

Look elsewhere!

This place sells for the location. Unfortunately it was raining the evening we were there so we didn't get to experience the spectacular sunset we paid for.

This hotel is in dire need of a rennovation. There was mold around the tub, tears in the furniture, dirt and cobwebs in the windows, and the ac units were so loud we had to turn them off.

It was worth the great view and location!

it’s right on the Lake which is awesome! Location was close to the city & tourist attractions.

Room was very outdated and beds were uncomfortable but that is an easy fix.

Did the trick for one night, but not worth the $250 peak season price.

The location is beautiful with the bay right out your front door. It is also less than 1/4 mile to the Munising Falls Visitor Center, so the perfect location to catch the backpacking shuttle for the North Country Trail.

The tub and shower curtain had mold. The can opener did not work and the front desk did not have another one available. The stove required reinserting the burners in order to work. The carpet was gross.

The staff was friendly, it was clean, location was awesome, amenities was good.

The beds were not very comfortable. I could feel springs. Also, the pull out couch mattress was was worse than the regular beds.

Nice setting. Great sunset. Appreciate the basic continental breakfast. Clean and cozy, for our needs.

Beds were more firm than to my liking. However, the rest of our party liked the beds' firmness

Pleasant

The room was very dark and outdated and was just “ok” for cleanliness. We did like the kitchenette and large frig. The view of the bay was the reason we chose this property. They did provide chairs and tables to sit at to enjoy the view.

We have good memories of the Sunset Motel but were disappointed this time.

Great view of the bay.

We have stayed here probably a dozen times over the past 25 years. The only change has been the higher prices. Room was not very clean, dust/spider webs behind the bedroom door, signs and smell of dogs. The shower took 5 minutes to heat up and there was very little water pressure.

Beautiful view, but be prepared to be disappointed, especially for the price.

Not much other than the view.

The motel's reputation was relying on the past clientele. The room was quite worn, looked unkept and old furniture. It was also hot, no A/C nor cross ventilation. Only one window worked and the screen on the door was not going to be usable when we went to bed at night. The clerk was nice enough to refund us our money after we glanced at the room.
