About this house rental
A romantic getaway, a fun family vacation, a great place to "work remotely. Just steps from having your toes in the sand, this little house is one of the very few that is this close to the beach. See and hear the ocean while sitting on the patio*. A very family oriented neighborhood. House is ideal for up to six. Less than a quarter mile walk to the grocery store, hair and nail salons, Beall's Outlet, and all kinds of restaurants. If looking for more than beach, it is less than two miles to most of Ormond Beach parks on both the ocean and the inter-coastal providing a variety of active and passive outdoor activities. Less than four miles to Daytona's famous drive on beaches, and only a short drive to the Daytona Speedway with all the activities and restaurants of Daytona in between.
House is fully furnished with everything you need. TV's and Wifi are provided. Just bring a bathing suit and some shorts and you are ready to go. Daily cleaning is not provided, but weekly cleaning can be arranged. Other than packaging up the trash, you don't need to clean anything on departure.
Well behaved socialized dogs are allowed, and there is a fully fenced backyard.

This was my first time at Ormond Beach and I will return! Staying in Jim’s house was absolutely wonderful. The house is a mixture of vintage and new, very clean and comfortable. I can’t think of anything that wasn’t provided, from coffee, plenty towels & washcloths to everything needed for a day at the beach, chairs, umbrellas etc. The location is perfect, ocean view and very short walk to the beach, most beautiful sunrise each morning. And renting from Jim and Melanie was so easy, so kind & welcoming. They were available at all hours for any questions or assistance if needed. This would be a great house for an extended beach vacation 🏖️ it is definitely on my repeat list!!

Everything about this stay was truly amazing! The views of the ocean are absolutely gorgeous. The house is phenomenal - wonderfully clean, nicely decorated, highly organized, and perfectly comfortable for us and our children. They have sincerely thought of everything - beach canopies & umbrellas, wagon, chairs, boogie boards, sand mat, beach bag, cooler, sand toys, along with an open floor inside with enough space to enjoy time together with board games or spread out to do different activities. Plus, they offer insightful guidance on restaurants and things to do in the area. It was everything we wanted and more!

This house had everything we needed for beach fun! 2 canopies, tons of chairs, blankets, towels, boogie boards, toys. The home was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, I was able to keep everyone’s bellies happy so easily :-) And we could see the beach from our picture window, SO CLOSE!!!

The pictures of the cottage do not do it justice! It is adorable & comfy. The view is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from our comfy chairs on the patio. Walked on the beach every day. Jim & Melanie came by to welcome us & visit, how many owners do that?? They even left us a bottle of wine. Everything at the cottage was so nice. We hope to return. Thanks for a perfect vacation.

We had the best time at this beach house.it is one of the nicest places we have stayed at.beautiful view of the ocean from the chairs outside the living room window.it is seconds to the beach.it is also on a private beach access so there is not a lot of traffic.the yard is fenced in which is perfect for your pet.the shower in the master bath is wonderful.we met the owners and they are very nice.will definitely stay again ❤️

We had the best time in Beach house. Jim was so easy to work with and very responsive. The location was just perfect for me and pup. My daughter came along for the month and worked from the nicely positioned desk set up, with the perfect ocean view. The restaurant suggestions and menus in the welcome book were helpful. Don't miss the Salty Mermaid across the street!

Very nice property manager, cute house. Had everything needed to cook and hang out comfortably. Slight confusion about front and back bedroom and bed arrangement, but it was very comfortable and super close to the beach. Ormond Beach seems pretty quiet overall, but it was still relatively convenient to everything between Daytona and st Augustine.

We woke up each and every morning to the most beautiful view of the Ocean and at night were lulled to sleep by the gentle rolling of the waves. The house was extremely clean with many upgraded items and everything in first class shape. As has been mentioned many times all you need are the clothes on your back as everything, and then some, has been provided. Got to meet Jim and his wife Melanie and that was a treat in itself...the nicest people with the most interesting of lives and it is reflected in Ocean Edge. Renovated and decorated beautifully in a very practical manner.
Open concept with a whisper quiet DW/ HVAC, beautifully upgraded shower enclosure with easy access. Beds were extremely comfortable. Backyard area for pets with 2 BBQs in excellent shape....when we say "too much to mention" truer words were never spoken.
Plenty of Restaurants/ Patios in the area and we have to mention every single restaurant suggested by Jim and Melanie were a 10/ 10.
Our one and only suggestion is that Jim and Melanie should give courses on how to operate a rental property as they seem to not only know and care about what they're doing but also, and more importantly, enjoy themselves while doing so.
In closing we would like to thank Jim and Melanie for allowing us the use of their home at Ocean Edge as it truly was the Best Vacation ever,

My husband and I were very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at this property. The home itself was very clean and spacious. The fenced in backyard is an added perk that was perfect for my Maltese as well as my husband and I. Jim as went above and beyond to ensure the perfect stay…literally you can bring your clothes and you are set. This property is very well equipped with everything needed for the perfect beach vacation. I cannot leave out the view and location! If you are looking for the perfect location then look no further, the home offers beautiful ocean views and you are steps away from the sand! I cannot wait for next trip! Thank you Jim for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

The rental home for the week was very nice.
Very accomodating for my husband who is handicap. Being a one story home with no stairs and having a walk in shower made the trip much more enjoyable.
Waking up each morning and enjoying the view of the beach was perfect! Accessibility to the beach - accomodating as well for my husband.
The owners are very pleasant people who were available to answer any questions I might have.
Definitely will refer this location to family and friends!

We all had a wonderful time! Jim did an amazing job making sure we were comfortable. He had put together a binder that had information about nearby places, manuals for some of the items in the house to use, etc. He checked in with us and asked us what he could do differently to make the place better. Honestly, you cannot do much to make this place better! We will definitely be renting from him again!

The house was perfect in every way…very clean, close to groceries, gas, shopping etc and stocked with absolutely everything you may need. View and proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Jim and Melanie were great hosts and we can’t wait to go back.

You cannot find a better place to stay than this cozy beach cottage. It has a million dollar view and all you need to do is step outside and you are on the beach. It is the best of both worlds- the quiet of a residential area and close to the excitement of Daytona Beach! I highly recommend this place - the owners are fantastic people and we enjoyed our stay!

Where to start...we only do VRBO for vacations and I will say, this is the most thought out property. Everyone states, just bring your toothbrush, but Jim means it. The view is awesome and it is literally steps to the beach. The fenced backyard was great for our little dog. Jim contacted us to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Jim for the perfect home to make our vaca great.

Our time at the beach cottage was fantastic! The location is such a gem for beach lovers like ourselves. Waking up to the view out the large front windows makes you feel like you are directly on the beach. Jim was a great attentive host, always quick to respond to a text or call prior to our arrival. We had no issues during our stay but I'm confident he would have rectified anything swiftly. We also appreciated being so close to Bicentennial Park and its great dog park. Be sure to check it out while vacationing with your fur family.

A comprehensive binder with all the details on the Cottage Unit, Restaurants and Things to Do in the area has been put together by the owner. Based on personal experience, take the time to check it out. So many questions you are answered!
We could not have asked for more with the this rental. Upon arrival the first thing you see is the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. There is a big deck with nice deck chairs and side tables. The view is exactly as described. The sunrises over the ocean were stunning. The sounds of the waves so soothing. This same view is just inside the front door with large picture windows.
The inside of the unit has such a great beach vibe decor. It is obvious that the inside of the unit has been upgraded. The furniture, appliances, TV's and other entertainment items are great. Many are nearly new. It has a very well equipped kitchen with most anything you could possibly need and more. There are so many extra's available that are included, including beach chairs, fishing poles, beach toys, umbrellas, and a beach cart to carry everything down all for the guests to use. The beach itself is private. Limited to those living (or vacationing) there.
Many of the local points of interest, activities, restaurants, and stores are all just a short drive without leaving the barrier island. So convenient.
You will not be disappointed in this vacay rental. It was fantastic.

We had an excellent week at Jim's property at Ormond Beach. He was a pleasure to work with and it was very nice to meet both him and his wife. The cottage is 1950 on the outside (but in a good way) and 2020 on the inside. The spare bath is the stereotypical pink and green. The master bath is an oasis of stone and stainless. The living area is open with the kitchen which is well stocked. While this is a 2nd row home, your ocean view through the wall to wall front room is absolutely beautiful.
I can not express how impressed we were with the owners. Our questions were promptly answered and I'm sure, if we had had any problems, they would have been taken care of immediately.
The home is centrally located and is an easy drive or walk to anything that you may need. We wholeheartedly recommend this location and hope to make this visit an annual trip.

This is a perfect cottage on the beach! There was only my wife and I, and our dog. The living/dining/kitchen is open floorplan and surprisingly large, with picture window looking out to the beach. Thankyou to Jim and Melanie, who are the perfect hosts and attend to every detail.

It was a wonderful, beautiful stay!!. The ocean views were exceptional, the sea sounds relaxing and tranquil. The wife loved drinking her coffee daily out on the patio! The home was so cozy! Cute beach theme. It had everything you need as far as amenities was just like home! The host was friendly and hospitable and gifted us with a bottle of regional wine on the table when we got there which was an unexpected gift! We enjoyed that while listening to the waves n watching the sunset. Great way to unwind! The host was extremely helpful with our questions and even met with us during our stay to see how we were enjoying/enjoyed the stay! He even included a great binder with the amenities in or around the house, local things to do, eateries and recreational activities.. even a section on past guest notes & pictures which was cool to see! We Loved the beach it was beautiful and the water warm. My kids loved shell hunting, night crab hunting, looking for lizards & frogs. We all enjoyed the sunrises n sunsets...even a few spectacular lighting/thunder rain storms! Even our dogs enjoyed having a yard to run in because where we live they don't have that luxury. Great job! We will more than likely come again for vacation if we can!

Home Away From Home
Omg! Nice cozy beachfront cottage is an understatement! Everything was lovely. Our vacation was superb. From the planning process all the way up until we left was a success. We met the owner Jim, and he was awesome. Anything we needed all I had to do was call or send a text and he was Johnny on the spot. Anything you needed, it was right there. Easy access to everything. We've always stayed in really nice direct beachfront resorts, and we've been to Ormond several times and we've always stayed in that area. So now that we've found our home away from home this will be where we will stay anytime we visit Ormond. Thanks to the Winton's.

Wonderfully relaxing!
We wanted a quiet beach get away and that was what we got. We were just steps off the beach with solitude, peace, and relaxation but only a few minutes away from sites, restaurants, shopping, etc. We weren't looking for theme parks and outside that, this house had everything else. Our gracious host was very thoughtful and accommodating. We definitely want to go back!

Best Christmas beach stay!
We decided on a vacation Christmas present for our teen girls. Location could not have been better. House was beautifully located and completely stocked. Way more then listed on the website. I have stayed at few hosted homes and this one was truly home away from home (if you home had the best ocean view ever). Our Host Jim was great. He even came out to personally meet us at the end of trip to see if there was anything he could do to make our trip more enjoyable in the future. Promised we would see those suggestions we gave when we come back again. We plan to come back in the future!

The PERFECT Beachside Getaway!!!
This beach house has too many amenities to even list. They have everything you could ever want. Jim was more than accommodating with us. This is seriously the best beach vacation we have ever taken. We will be back to Ormond Beach to stay in this home. Amazing ocean views, comfortable beds, everything you could ever want for the beach including a canopy and a beach wagon!!! Awesome almost on the beach but on the beach house
This place was great!! Everything you need is mostly already there. Fully furnished house less than a 200 yard walk to put feet to sand. Neighbors are cool, pleasant and showed up on the weekend. House is newly renovated and the daily view is unbelievable!!!!
