great for stags and hens but not family’s

food was quite nice

no tea and coffee in room but you can get it for free down in the bar as long as you don’t ask for too many otherwise the lady said she would have to charge!! the staff are shocking.. the barman was off his face on drink and drugs and banged our door down at 3am accusing my son of threatening to stab his boss!! my son was sound asleep in bed. Disgusting behaviour and the manager wasn’t much help, but at least the barman apologised and bought us a drink! no offer from the owner so it seems they are not bothered about their reviews.. There was no other available accommodation otherwise i would have left .

If you are looking for a central location with a warm bar feel this is the spot.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, Breakfast was excellent all cooked fresh to order. The location was fantastic walking distance from nearly everything. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the bar was really welcoming. Cant Fault the stay the breakfast, Location and value for money was outstanding

More like a basic hostel than a B&B, but with a hotel price tag !

N/A - I did not like this property.

No facilities - no tea, coffee or television in room, or breakfast. Decor tired - exposed fuse boxes at entrance, dirty carpet leading to rooms, big square of masking tape hiding something on bedroom wall, broken tiles in shower room. Constant noise in room possibly from plumbing?

Tired accommodation that could be enhanced for the cost of the room

The location was good to town centre

Black mould on base of shower tiles. Cracked floor tiles in bathroom. Small amount of toilet paper (third roll). No tissues replenished. One towel per person for entire stay. Shower water temperature variable: burns then goes cold. Poor shower water flow. No hooks on bathroom door to hang clothes if using shower. Expensive for what you get. I paid 260 Euro for two nights.

Ok for a quick stop but could be better

Sheets were clean, food in the bar was amazing.

Room was pretty dingy, lots of noise late on and the water pressure on the shower was non existent.

Excellent location, fab staff and gorgeous food.

Great location. Room was basic but perfect for a short stay. We had dinner in the bar also which was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were all lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Good service. Cleanliness room basic .D/ bed.& side lockers.& wardrobe closert & on sweet. Stairway to steep.to 3rd floor. Verry good location. We'll be back.

Perfect for laying the head for a night

Bed was comfy enough . Reasonable price for a Fri night in athlone . It's a handy spot to get into town from

Good location and nice people. There is no breakfast option, but they offer you free tea and coffee.

I found the room too small for three beds. I think it needs some refurbishing and redecorating.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 nights at the Bailey.

The staff were so helpful. Helped me with booking bus tickets and taxis. The food was really nice and we had 2 reasonably priced meals there which were delicious. (Gluten free toasted sandwich was the nicest I’ve had). The staff seem happy in their work and created a wonderful atmosphere.

I know a kettle in the bedroom was not promised on the website but I really did miss having a cup of tea first thing in the morning or having the freedom to make myself one any other time.

Great location, great value, basic but clean and comfortable.

pub downstairs was good craic, nice food, friendly staff, the room was basic but clean and comfortable, bathroom would do with an upgrade. location was perfect.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was lovely.

The room was very small, no TV. The bathroom was very small, little room between shower and bathroom door. Very little space in bathroom, not fit for purpose. We would not stay there again.

Location was good

The room and bathroom were very basic as expected from the cost. However we got very little sleep due to the loud noise of what I can only imagine was a pump. This went on all night. When I mentioned it the next morning when checking out the staff were disinterested.

Horrible experience...DO NOT STAY HERE

Nothing at all. Pics are not the same as the property. Area is sketch.

Everything. Bar is NOT open. We show up and no one is there to check us in. Some stranger in a parked car says he will call the gal who runs it. Exposed wires throughout, holes in walls, blood stains on the bathroom door, dead bugs in the room. Black mold in the shower. Workers showed up and let them in our room at 7am without knocking, waking us up and seeing us in bed. No wifi....not one thing as advertised.

Rooms were filthy No bathroom light Noisy boiler like noise going off every couple of minutes all night. Bathroom mouldy. Damp patch on ceiling. Friends had a leak through the ceiling
